After a little time I managed to come up with a passable Orange topped 212 skin. (Even though I think its an odd scheme) Hope its OK. No worries I nly worked it out the other day. DCS World/Bazaar/Liveries/uh-1h. Pop the folder with the files in it in there. You can make your own folder and call it what you want as long as the files go in it. Should appear in UK uh-1h in mission editor

I really ought to be out cutting the grass and fixing the clutch on my car and setting up the Jeep for a show this weekend :music_whistling:......but. We most surely need a slick model, the weapons mounts take the edge off the Medcentre logo. Oh and what colour Flight suits and Helmets do the crew wear ? Edit: I could shrink the Med logo down and just have it on the cockpit doors that way its not obscured so much ?

I think Rookie is a stretch, Ive messed around on and off with skins for other things but never seriously. To be honest once you have the template and figure out layers....that was the bit that had always foxed me, then I had an epiffany couple of days ago. The colours are easy, the clever detail stuff is already done and layers on top of the colour you choose. Took a couple of goes to get the camo stipes to match at the top and bottom of the body but a few screenshots helped. I'm getting the hang of it, still dont understand "Alpha" layers and such though !......Meanwhile get back to the Air Ambo thread Beach....I got a little something for you.

Ok so now I got the hang of the skin thing, Im trying out a couple of ideas, Air Ambulance (see other post but really needs a slick). Yeah we do need a slick, for all the good intent of an Air Ambulance, it sort of looses the Good Samaritan effect if your armed to the teeth :cry: Anyway I think Im getting to grips with the skin thing :thumbup:

Little bit more work on the UK Air Ambulance and a start on Beaches' company Cab. I'm a skinning novice so bare with me and I have the tail on the Yellow one missaligned but thats fixable. Mission is coming on too.

Yeah Cowboy it's at Benson, The other cab is at Thruxton cover IOW and Hant's and us. I live 10 minutes from Benson and have been coerced into flying but my Road job training baby Paramedics is where Im at, Choppers make me fall asleep riding in the back :smilewink:. I didnt think of Police missions....but I bet you could come up with some car chase scenarios quite easily. Hmmm got me thinking Now :thumbup:. As for the skin well if you put the mission out for public use, you could just tag on or point folk in the direction of a skin download ? Here's one of our 135's

You asking me Beach ??? I've only ever attempted 1 skin for DCS and its in this thread lol. Im sure I could have a go though. To be honest once I got the template and figured out the layer thing and the size thing Its kinda easy (well easy as in about 10 goes to get the darn thing to fit the Helo and be the right dimensions). We use EC135's over here too now, Replaced the ex Bundeswher Anti Tank ! MBB105's

LOL Mate they were cheering until the realised the Air Ambulance was armed ! Its the best I could do for rubber neckers :thumbup: Oh and trying to include typical British Summer weather for that authentic feel.

Ok guys as a medical type, I thought I ought to try and bring some civillian/aid to the civil power missions to the field. Its all very much a work in progess. The skin is pure fantasy, I have a little Air Ambulance time and would be first in the queue if the UK got armed Hueys for our helimed operations :thumbup:. Overview is simple, get called to a Road Traffic Collision, pick up a casualty and evac them to the local Hospital......anyone know where that is in Batumi ? :smilewink:. I will get to polishing the skin and mission over the next few days. Oh and credit to "upuaut" please his skins provided the inspiration for me to have a go....I might of borrowed his crew for now too.
