Saitek Pro Flight Cessna Rudder Pedals
nickmow replied to GC1993's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I've got Saitek pedals, they have been just fine, not the Cessna ones or the combats ones but Saitek ones never the less. No need for soft ware just plug n play. Make sure you get the axis for the toe brakes the right way round. Im sure you will enjoy them....report please :-), I'm British and I approve of myself ! -
C130, would be a winner !. I have to wonder about the nay Sayers, why waste your time writing. It's like a forum question that is answered by the first post saying "I don't know the answer to your question" pointless. More platforms the better, Cessnas, Pipers, Cargo, it expands the opportunity for people with imagination to forge new scenarios or just enjoy the environment. A lack of imagination is the precursor to a "no never" post when we discuss such things, Can't wait for C130, C17, Antonov, Boeing, Illyushin etc etc

If its in take on Heli and arma it might be that your Saitek panel is generating shift and control keys. Eg. Shift+G.....not sure if Arma would see those ?
-
Gixxer, I think you just edit the key file. Seems to work for me. I think this is one of the best developments ever. Even if it means just flicking the gear knob for undercarriage. Simple and effective.

BBC Fighter Pilot, Test Pilot, Combat Pilot Series
nickmow replied to bumfire's topic in Military and Aviation
Your a bit late in on this Irish, check out the dates......mind you I only just saw it and I'd love to see Fighter Pilot again ! :-) -
Get on it Phil, and then take photos and show us ! Sounds like a superb idea to me. Once you get your head round it the multi monitor thing is quite easy to manipulate with the lua, it takes a bit of adjusting but with patience it sounds like your setup, idea is feasible. Good luck Nick

F100 is such a classic design, Sleek and purposeful. I think this is my personal most anticipated mod/module. Fantastic work,,thanks for the update thread. Nick

Got it, all good ! Keys changed and assigned, Awesome !
-
OK got that seems simple thanks, Now where should the key.properties file be saved ? I have it in the Folder "SaitekPanel" on my desktop with all the other contents of the zip. It works as you uploaded it but the key.properties file I downloaded later. which folder should it be in ?
-
Is that in the file like the one you uploaded in this post or which file ? If not ? Thanks RAF sorry to keep asking lots of questions :music_whistling:

Same for me

RAF is it possible to map all the buttons on the switch panel ? I see several have no keys allocated to them and I could easily make use of them. It's no chore to change assignments in DCS for me but allocating keys in your programme is a bit challenging for me. Im going to say it again.....this is excellent and as the other guys say, you should be talking to Saitek, you've brough an amazing functionality to the products they seem to of abandoned support for. Thanks again Nick

Where do you do the search for DEBUG_FLAGS=true ?

It's a crowd of people some with flags some sitting down, they generally look like they are having a good time . Go ahead put them in a mission and take a look. Somebody got creative with the crowd too ! http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=106052

Air show crowd. It's in the ME

Most happy ! Awesome work RAF. Now a little request....... :music_whistling: I just wonder if you have any plans to configure the Mulit panel ? With the flaps trim autopilot ? (I don't have the radio one)
-
Great thanks Raf, Im really impressed with this
-
Ok so I'm not too, clever with this stuff. Download your zip then what ? Sorry to be dumb but an easy to follow install instruction is what I need. (Im getting old dude :-). )
-
RAF could you do an install guide, Im struggling with the maven java thing :(, the instructions that come with them are a bit complicated !
-
Ok I give up the whole Maven Java installation thing is way beyond me !

I've been holding out for somebody to make these panels work in something other than FSX. Can't believe you did it ! I think this is a major deal, good work mate, I shall try it out soon as I get home from work ! Cheers Nic,

Thanks zealu, I had the Harrier MOD in FC 2 (I think it was 2), wasn't so much underpowered as it needed a very gentle pull back after a long take off roll. Could you possibly explain how you get it available in FC3 I'd like to take a look and do some experimenting ? Post here or PM if you don't want to go public with it :-), Thanks for your work so far, it's really practical mod and is a lot of fun, especially burning around in the F16. Keep up the good work boys Cheers Nick
