they are going from ground to up.. :) they are coming from Phalanx CIWS like the clip says :)

i have seen an A-10 tgp footage from a gun run, and the rounds could be seen, they weren't tracers, but the vapour trails were visible i tried to find the clip, but i have no clue where i saw it.. Edit: well i found one clip.. at the time of 0:40 you can see it pretty well.. I MUST WARN YOU FIRST.. the clip contains some mildly graphic footage, and the site contains some very graphic footage from different wars so if you are like me and dont like to see stuff like that.. dont go wandering around the site :D http://www.apacheclips.com/media/6050/A-10_Targeting_The_Bad_Guys/

I have a maybe a bit dumb question, but how do i use the coordinates given from the JTAC, for example in your video MM152752 i have problems finding the right spot.. when i tried this, the JTAC did not send me any data.. he just gave me the coordinates, but i cant find the column just by using the coordinates

this was really entertaingin.. by the way, what was the annoying more code in the end? :P edit: yes i mean Morse code :)

it indeed would, but i seriously doubt that ED, or any other developer could program an AI smart and complex enough to operate in the front/back seat of a fighter realistically, if they could, and would do the F15E or super hornet, i'd jizz my pants every day.. twice...for the rest of my life.. ;) -
even tho it was very nice landing and all, the runway seemed to be veeery bouncy, atleast in the video, maybe it's a bug that the ground/grass is actually over the tarmac..? as if you were landing on the grass.

Just purchased this morning...impressed (yet, overwhelmed)
Tracer2k replied to robnpat's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I can do just fine without HOTAS, yes hotas will make things a bit easier, and adds some immersion, but one can manage without one just fine when you get used to it. i would choose Track ir over hotas any day.. -

Remember, that you can bind your hotas functions to your pov hat.. I have binded TMS, DMS and the Coolie hat to my POV.. LShift+POV, LCTRL+POV and LAlt+POV. This way you only have to remember which modifier button represents the corresponding hotas switches. Having track ir also frees your pov hat and the num pad from using them to look around.. i binded the num pad for several stuff.. like CMS, Coolie hat and China hat. they are alot clearer than the default ones in my opinion! -
i've noticed that my track ir sometimes goes crazy with a proper light reflecting from my necklace, and some times from few screws in my headphones.

Having a hard time landing without blowing tires
Tracer2k replied to reschke's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
well without a track, it's pretty hard to point out what you are doing wrong.. -
imo you would just need a texture map for the holes, not a big of a deal, but it would require some, (maybe alot) of coding, and it would affect FFS definately, so it's not that important in my opinion.

Ok, this landing is really ugly one. Got her down in one piece on the second try, in the first try i actually came in too slow and stalled right before the runway :joystick: Crosswind landing Tracer2.trk -

I had some really annoying lag spikes just before touchdown, but still managed on the first try. :) Crosswind landing Tracer.trk
