Raptor may be IR stealth but IR band is not the only one that EOS is looking for. There was a video on youtube discussing this issue. And by the way, the moment Raptor turns his APG-77 on, it looses its main advantage, which suppose to be stealth. Raptor is an excellent airplane. But, PAK FA is shaping to be a good match for it. I don't think it is a chute. Take a look at the 0:33 of the below youtube video. It looks like the chute pops out from the top of the cone. 1:37 on below video clearly shows the chute popping up from the top of the cone.

It looks good to me. Vertical stabilizers are very small. I assume 3D thrust vectoring is then very defective. I wonder what is inside a massive tail cone? Radar?
