That's good. So, what do you think about such events? I understand your point. What I do is, I try to stay with positive trends in the community. I am involved with this hobby because I like it and few guys with negative attitude and/or complete lack of understanding will not take me of the track. Also, there is "ignore" option on this forum and I feel way better ever since I started using it. Besides, being rude is not going to help either. We need to go back on topic ...

FuSiOn, you have never participated in community events such as Crimean Incident, Red Flag or Nucleus. These events really push FC to the limits when it comes to the use of real players, AI and game engine capability. Real planning that sometimes lasts for days if not weeks at the time takes place. And indeed, often, SAM sites are the first on the target list of each side. You only look at the FC from the simple on/line gaming where often we all come together to have some fun and show some skills. Therefore, take a deep breath, join one of those big happenings (some of them are by invitation only) and enjoy a real war simulation as you describe it in your post.

You are not standing on anyone's toes. As a matter of fact, your comments are valid and shared by many mud-movers here. We, the mud-movers are severely restricted and handicapped with the fact that, now, we can not have our weapons of choice in MP games. I hope this will change in the future. Su-25 pilots are specially handicapped with the fact that we can not see our weapons on wings from the cab. Life goes on ... I still love FC 2.0

A-10 and Su-25 are two different airplanes, have different wings and fly very differently. Pilots flying Su-25 in Afghanistan were able to visually spot small targets, turn around and destroy it. That tells you how nimble this aircraft is/was. Su-25 FM look very well to me in FC 2.0.

Thank you very much my friend! Yes, I did put all settings on maximum and just this evening did some testing. Resolution is 1920 x 1200, zoom level in the cab is at max. Through this little testing, I confirmed what we already know about FC. The faster the processor the better FC works. I roughly OC's the processor for 49% and got almost 40% gain in FPS. Which aspect of the old AFM was hardcore and the new one is not?

I brought my system up to 4.0GHz and it was too easy. I never even played with voltages yet. I'll give it several months and maybe continue pushing it up, but for now, I am spending my time playing FC and BS. :) SSD's in my system are for the boot disk and few applications. Later on I'll buy and install standard hard drives for other, none critical applications. Although I am tempted to buy few more SSD's and go further into the RAID 0.

Hi Crunch, Notepad ++ is what I originally tried. After that did not work, I googled for the SDEF file extension and the only thing I found is some kind of an Apple scripting stuff. I did not want to go any further because I did not want to corrupt the file with wrong application.

This is the best news I've heard in a long, long time when it comes to FF implementation. Now, there is a hope ... Logitech can count on me as a customer when I see that the G940 stick stays in the same location as the stick in Black Shark when I pres the T button! :)

It is incredibly disappointing that Logitech is not taking a proactive role in solving FC 2.0 and BS trimming problems with G-940. This is opportunity of the lifetime for Logitech to make a flagship joystick that every serious flight sim enthusiast would recommend for many years to come. Logitech should have a dedicated support person for the FC and BS questions. Of course, ED should have a dedicated contact person at Logitech engineering team. I would buy G940 tomorrow if FF would work in BS and FC. BTW, Saitek support is no better either. Conclusion is, there isn't enough competition in this field. HOTAS manufacturers just don't have to build a product that works.

Hmmm ... very interesting? My clouds look just fine (see thumbnail). Your next step would be to put your card in a different computer. And if you still have the same problem, RMA the card and get the new one in.

I too have problems with sound. Quople of guys from my squad also have sound problems. My problem is too high volume of he external efects covering things what we should hear such as Air Brakes, Flaps, Gears and etc ... The controls the volume of both external efect and mechanical things such as air brakes. Can we get a comand line line to indipendently control volume of the mechanical sounds and efect sounds? That feature existed in earlier Flaming Cliffs. By the way, in my opinion, the efects sound level is way too high.

Hi Jim, What about Licensing Agreement and a copyright issue? If I take a PDF file of FC 2.0 map made by using FC 2.0, and take it to my local Office Depot for printing, am I breaking a licensing aggrement and copyright low?

Distiller, mission designer does not have a clue which tactic I am going to use in the mission he created. Thus, it is wrong for him to make a decision about which ammo I am going to carry on my airplane. In addition, it is a nightmare for a mission designer to now, above all, think about all possible, and some time exotic, weapons combination players would use for his mission. Designing missions is difficult and now we are making it even more difficult.

It is easy for fighters, but mud movers ... That's totally different story. We have so many different weapons and different styles. So many different combinations of weapon types and mounting location. If everybody on the server knows what we carry, we reveal (somewhat) our tactical plans too. I don't know what lead ED to eliminate custom payload feature from FC 2.0.

I can not see how can we actually play this game without an option for payload in MP? When I load mu Su-25 or Su-25T, I only take a minimum weapons needed to do the job. Eg. if there is no a radar SAM threat, I don't carry jammer pods. I don't want to overload. Also, I never carry AA weapons, instead I always carry smoke rockets to mark the target area. How can we play in MP without an option of being able to choose what weapons we carry?
