  1. And furthermore, LO only includes the -5F version of the Mirage 2000. There are a few other variants that would really look nice (C and D for starters...). Anyway, the Mirage IV really has its place in LO, because: -it retired only last year, so it's still a recent jet. -it was the ONLY A/C capable of strategic recce -it's beautiful ^^ And considering the awesome job Knell did with the Mirage F1, we can only hope for an equally awesome 3D model of the mirage IV.
  2. Great Job Zillion !!! I'll try this asap :)
  3. Thanks for keeping us informed zillion, and good luck with the admin tool :) I'll try this new RC asap ;)
  4. Danke zillion :) Viel spass noch beim nächste Version :) We tried it this weekend on two missions, and noticed a few bug: -in the fisrst game, we could connect to the java server, but as soon as the ATC screen itself was loaded, the flash aplet hung and a succession of error message from Flash player occured. :( -during the second game, it went fine, but one of the clients remained a static plot in the Black Sea, although his plane was definitely flying in the game :? Bis Dann ;)
  5. Hi zillion ! I've installed your ATC software recently and I played with it a little. First things first: this is awesome !!! I just have a small question: I can't configure any radar and/or airport settings in the admin panel (e.g. the AWACS as an unlimited detection range while on the JaBoG server the AWCS can only see up to 350km or so). Did I miss something or is this admin panel still in progress ? That's a great job, keep it up !
  6. I'm glad I could help, I've been fighting with this bug for weeks ! BTW, it does not seem to be a driver issue on my comp ;)
  7. I have the same issue with my 9600Pro. I still have no clue how to completely fix it, but I have a small tip: When you start LO, launch the quick mission for a-10 or Su-25T before anything else. Go to A2G mode, and switch on the TV/Mavericks. The display should be working correctly. Once this is done you can fly any mission you want, it should be fine. However, you must do this each time you start LO again ;) I hope it helps :)
  8. Yes, sure. Still a bug anyway, and quite annoying when in a straffing-dive ;).
  9. In russian airplanes when in "zemlyia" mode, you get the "OTB" warning when flying too low to drop bombs. In this situation, if switching to cannon, the hud remains in the "OTB" mode, thus making accurate strafing unavailable since the pipper is not correctly positioned. any chance to see this fixed in th next 1.11 patch ?? (might be a bit late though ^^) Thanks
  10. The Mirage 2000 mod for 1.1 can be found here. Have fun :D
  11. . I think it is the Kopyo-25 radar. I definitely agree on that. My real question is rather if the Su25TM/Su-39 is wired for these weapons :p
  12. I've been looking at some pictures of MAKC 2005 airshow, especially at those showing the Su-39. here and there. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this Su-39 is carrying a Kh-31P on pylon 8 and a KAB-500Kr on pylon 3 :D. Is this a payload only for airshow purposes, or is the Su-39 able to use this weapons on those pylons???
  13. This "ground altitude" autopilot mode just compensate your altitude so that the elevation above ground mesured by the radar altimeter stays as constant as possible. But this radar altimeter can not foresee the ground in front of the aircraft, thus reacting a bit late in case a sudden hill appears in front of you. Furthermore, if your bank angle or your pitch is far from zero, the ground altitude given by the radar altimeter is higher than your real altitude above ground. A real terrain following radar looks in front of the aircraft (and not under it) to anticipate ground elevation and depression, thus permitting the aircraft to "hug" the ground ;)
  14. Well, actually this is no Terrain-following, just a ground-altitude autopilot. It is rather dangerous to use it when flying low over an uneven ground :p
  15. Many thanks for your answers ! So to make it short: -KAB-500Kr is a TV-uided bomb with a "classic" HE warhesd -KAB-500KrOD is a TV guided bomb with penetrator warhead. Does anyone know if this is somehow modelled in LO:FC?
  16. Hi all ! I spend a lot of time flying the Su-25T, and one of the the particularity I most appreciate is the TV guided bombs (KAB-500Kr and KAB-500KrOD). I've been wondering what are the differences between these two similar bombs. As far as I know, there's none in FC, but since they have different names, I guess there is some small changes, but I have no idea... any hints? Thanks
  17. Thanks for the tip. This happens quite often, hopefully it's something from the past now !
  18. Nice :) Just why do you take a Mercury pod with you when the sun's shining??? It might look nice, but it just ain't that realistic ;)
  19. 2 BBQ, about this graphic "bug": look at your graphics.cfg file. My guess is that you tweaked that one a little... Try to restore default settings.
  20. I've been through further testing about this one, it looks like it happens only on A/C with jamming on (and by the way, I don't think it's that good to have music on while on the ground :D). You may want to watch this track to see what I'm talking about:
  21. Well, it looks like the russian fighters have been granted an Air-ground radar !!! Just kidding ;), but the bug I report is a serious one imo: First, AWACS still see through mountains, but well, I'm used to it. But now AWACS can see any aircraft taxiing !!! I really have no idea about AWACS radar capabilities, but this really is strange... Second, when flying towards such a contact (not knowing it is a taxiing A/C), I switch radar on at about 50 km, see 2 strong jamming strobes, then burn through, lock one of them, and here's what I see: Target F-16, altitude 0 above ground, speed 10 km/h, Launch Authorized. It seems really unlikely that the Flanker's radar can have suc A/G features, isn't it?
  22. Thanks !!! It looks like Chapter 10 could be translated by the end of the day, thanks to your infos !
  23. Thanks zoomboy27 !!! It really seems to be what I was looking for !!!
  24. Thanks for your help about the stabilizer surfaces. It would mean horizontal tail plane then, I suppose. And I totally agree that some sentences looks like a raw translation from russian to english, si if an russian speaking forum member could help...
  25. Hi all !!! I'm part of the manual translation team on C6 (french-speaking forum for virtual pilots), and I am unable to understand the meaning of a few sentences in the english manual. I do understand the words and all, but I don't understand the meaning. I thought maybe some of you could help... I just need to know what the manual is talking about in those sentences: (page 208) Well, as far as I know, the "glide" is the ILS sub-system used for proper descent plane. I understand that the glide radio signal is only available if the plane is located in the radio beam, but what have "the pilot's efforts" got to do with that ??? I'm sure I got something wrong here :( (page 209) Well, I'm no jet engine specialist, and I don't understand what physical phenomenum lies behind this. If someone could explain, I'll really appreciate ! (page 209) Is it elevator or rudder trim surfaces ??? Or am I getting this wrong? Thanks for your help, I'd better wait a little more than having those sentences translated in an ugly way!
