  1. I'm starting to doubt whether the devs even tested this game before releasing it.
  2. I've been outmaneuvered by an Su-25, and had it chase me while I was going Mach 1.2 I've also had an Su-27 chase me all the way back to base. The AI is rediculous.
  3. I know how to fly a Cessna and a Piper Warrior, and the sim isn't unsuitable for me..... The only two complaints I have about FSX are that the nighttime scenery sucks, and clouds make my framerate drop like a rock.
  4. The next time I go to Japan I'm going to visit an airbase......last time I was only able to go to the JGSDF PR center at Camp Asaka.
  5. I love FSX. I've got a recently released free version of a payware F15C/D/J/DJ Eagle pack made by Iris. If the F15C in the LOMAC series had more realistic flight dynamics like the Iris F15, the LOMAC would be perfect....I'm sick of having to use afterburner just to maintain 400kts at altitude in LOMAC.
  6. I think that's just the way the mission goals in the A10 campaign are set. In the F15 campaign, in order to advance to the next mission, you have to complete all tasks and return to base. In the A10 campaign, all you have to do is complete all tasks. So after you destroy your targets, you can just fly straight into a mountain and still be able to continue the campaign.
  7. I've got a problem with my X52 Pro, and I'd like to re-calibrate it (Windows Vista). I tried reinstalling it but it didn't work. My rudder is messed up. When I apply left rudder, it will actually translate into right rudder for a few seconds before translating into the proper left rudder. Right rudder works fine. I don't know if it's a software issue or the joystick has a short....
  8. However, in the orignal LOMAC, they would taxi and takeoff on their own.
  9. Unfortunately in the F15C campaign, many of the missions require me to arrive at a waypoint at a certain time (usually less than 6 minutes after engine start, which is unrealistic considering that there's no time for proper engine startup and pre-flight checks), and going to a different taxi way will cause me to fail the mission by missing the assigned flight times.
  10. Strange...I get the dynamic lighting from flares/nav lights but no afterburner glow no matter what shadow setting I select..... Speaking of Nav lights....the AI wingmen use them at all the wrong times...
  11. I'm trying to enjoy the F15 campaign, but it is really starting to get on my nerves. On most missions, my F15 is parked twice as far away from the runway as my #2 wingman, and while I taxi at 20-30 kts (which is way too fast in real life), my #2 wingman beats me to the runway (AI also taxis at about 20-30 kts). Here's the problem...my idiot #2 wingman doesn't take off, he just sits there on the taxiway, just short of the runway. If he taxied onto the runway, then I could just go around him and take off, but he blocks the entire taxiway. At least in the original LOMAC my wingmen had the decency to take off if I was running slow....
  12. The only crashing problem I've experienced is the "Poti Patrol" mission. It crashes every time at the exact same moment (right when I'm about to intercept bandits)
  13. Does "party mix" includes tracer bullets? I'm honestly not sure. I just know that it's got depleted uranium and HE rounds....and that when firing from a 50 degree angle, rounds don't ricochet off the ground....(personal experience from firing tracers from an AR15) On another note, friendly AI taxis way too fast. In the F15C campaign, I frequently find myself in near-miss situations on the tarmac with my #2 wingman.
  14. Another problem is that the bridges don't even come into view until you're right up on it, making it difficult to properly line up for a bombing run.
  15. ....I detest Vista.....
  16. In-game I find the track files saved under the "Demo" directory. In Windows Explorer, I can't find the track files in either "Missions" or "Demo"....I can't even find it in the entire game directory...
  17. I have a bunch of .trk files that I saved in the /Demo/ directory (FC2), and I want to delete them, but when I go to /Program Files/~/Demo, I can't find them. I see 2 default trk. files that came with the game (I believe Su-25 and Su-33), but I can't find the ones that I saved. I also did a search in the entire Eagle Dynamics folder for the filenames and came up with zip. Where are they?
  18. On another note, the A10s cannon should be carrying "party mix": a mixture of armor piercing and high explosive rounds....some of the A10's rounds should explode on impact, but currently in FC2 they just ricochet all over the damn place--which shouldn't happen in reality.
  19. Will they ever get around to fixing the flight dynamics? Your wingman in an A-10 shouldn't be able to climb at 8000 ft/min with a 5 degree pitch angle, and it shouldn't take 95% power to keep an F-15 flying at 450 kts. Even with full afterburner in a turning dogfight I can't get over 250 kts.
  20. Even with ECM engaged I still manage to get hit by SA11's.....
  21. Odd thing is....I've been playing the campaign and immortality has been working. However my wingman is an idiot....his rate of climb after take-off is ridiculous, which is nothing new from original LOMAC. :joystick:
  22. Oh, random question. How can you tell if the mission was a success? The debriefing page only gives me statistics.
  23. Works fine now.....and I managed to find a bug. On one mission (can't recall the name) I'm ordered by "Wizard 7" to ignore my programmed waypoints and maintain a heading of 035 for 39 miles, then contact the FAC. I fly for at least 5 minutes at 035, and never hear from the FAC......and then run into a massive SAM battery :P
  24. I'll try saving the mission when I put it through the ME. As far as FC2 being full of bugs, this is really the only bug I've come across.
