4 short movie-episodes are wonderful and are a must watch. Full movie was "meh". Series was good up to certain point and then it nose dove. That was my gateway into anime...14 years ago.

1 lighthouse stations are passive 2 The lighthouse boxes send out (for humans invisible infrared) light signals which then the vive's IR-diodes can see. Is my understanding of passive.......wrong?

Take off @ night find tanker and refuel FENCE in Find target / drop bomb Look at pretty tracer fire find tanker/refuel land as sun starts coming up I'll pass...but others may not.
