I had this issue too. But nothing to do with timing. I had freeze and crash after 15 or 90 minutes, but usually about 50 NM away from the carrier. I did 2 times the same mission : first time : crash. 2nd : no issue. The only thing I did the 2nd time was : NOT using the F2 key view! It seems strange, but I could end the campaign without any problem just by avoiding to press the F2 view key! Test it...

Seems to come from the scripts in \users\games\. If I change the forlder in scripts.off, DCS starts normally.

No. In fact, the problem still here. And yes... this is saddly the solution. Very odd, because, the next launch works well.

Hi, I fly the Cage the Bear campaign and had several freeze and crash... I flew twice the mission 6 - Interception. First attempt : freeze and crash about 50 NM to the carrier. 2nd attempt : no issue. Difference between both flies : 2nd time I did NOT use F2 view key. Never. Flew all the time from the cockpit. Maybe the way to fix the issue. Cheers.

Hi, Since a few days, I have an odd launch of DCS. It happens only at the very first start after a fresh computer start. The first screen (with clouds, just after the first one with DCS logo) goes to 100% then a second one climbs quickly to 92% (see attached) and stays in that state. Well, not so terrific, because I have to click on it and I get the menu and it works normally. But odd any how. After that, no problem when I relaunch the game. I unable all mods and already did a full repair. Attached the log file to. Thanks if someone can help. Cheers Dan dcs.log

Hi, I read in reddit and other forum that the F-14 crash DCS from time to time, and till today, no fix. Unfortunately, this happens to me too. I played OP Reforger Campaign (till mission 6) and mission 4 and 6 crashed, but not the others! Mission 2 last long. Over 90 minutes. No crash. In Zone 5 campaing, no crash and missions last over 1 hour each. So it's not a question of time, as someone suggested. But in missions 4 and 6, we fly far away from the carrier (over 100 NM). And those missions crash on the way back! This could be an avenue to be explored! Cheers

Hi, Am I alone with this issue ? Since a while (2-3 update ago) I've got no sonic boom sound any more. I tried every speed, all airplanes I have (supersonics only ). Nothing. In front : no sound, which is how it has to be. Then the AC pass, and I just have the normal jet sound. No "Boom"... I have no mods and already made a clean and repair install. Cheers. Dan

Thanks for your answer. True, that must be the problem. I've just got another crash but with the OP Cage The Bear mission 3. I played this mission the 1st time : to problem (but I failed the bombing run ). 2nd time : crash. 3rd fly : no problem. I know now I have to expect crash with F-14 + carrier (supercarrier in my case). Hope too for a fix soon. Cheers.

Hi, I encounter issue with the 4th mission of OP Reforger campaign : at about 80 NM back to the carrier (After been called RTB) the game crash. The music ends and fly a bit towards the carrier and... CTD. 2 tests... 2 crashes. Cheers Dan

Hi, since last update, I'm unable to bring the wing lever full afterward after wing sweep check. I follow the afterstart checklist. I push it forward, then down. Reset. Set auto. Then I want to bring it back full afterward, but it stays stick in 68° position. No effect with right/left click on it. It wont go fully afterward. What am I doing wrong ? Cheers Dan

Hi, Yes, sorry for that. I set wrong triggers. You can redownload the campaign (v1.02) and replace the files, and all will work perfectly then, inclusive the name of the 7th mission. Don't worry, it won't reset your campaign score. And then you'll receive 100 after the 9th mission. Did you find this last a bit fun ?

Hi guys, Sorry for that, but, as I re-re-re... play the whole campaign I had a very small issue in mission 5. The mission 5 works, but not as it should. So I fixe it. And now, it works fine. I take profit to update a bit the 1st mission, where "player" takes to long to answer to the control... So if you want you may download the campaign again. Cheers

I will buy the F1... not immediatly, but I will. So I'm already thinking about a campaign involving F1 in Syria... I've got some ideas. Probably Royal Jordanian F1...

One info more : Basically the L-39 is a trainer. You have few weapons. Thus, in combat, you only have one pass to make. Therefore, the missions are not difficult. BUT... there is no radar, no CCIP mode, no guided bombs. In this case, it depends only on your skill. Then you can make the mission easier by turning all labels on, or harder by turning them off. And don't worry... enemy will also return fire

If you played the training mission of the L-39 module, it should be enough. No problem. Read and train a bit following Chuck's guide. Missions are easy. No stress. Have a try, you won't regret it. Cheers

Hi, I have a general though about the use of the mouse to activate switches in cockpit. As the F1 is new, it would be nice to think about it. I think it would be nice to have to use only "left click" for 2 positions switches. It's for me a no sence "left click = down", "right click = up". We have only one switch! In a perfect world, the best way would be to use the mouse wheel instead : roll back = switch down, roll up = switch up. I used to do this in Microsoft flight sim and it's very nice dans intuitive. In FS, both worked : click or wheel. I do not speak about button where wheel or click and drag is perfect. Just about switches. Just a short though! Cheers Daniel

Hi, I've just started the campaign again (because I love it). It's a long time since a couple of DCS update, so this is probably the reason of those issues. There are quick solved if you are kind enough to do so. 1) No chart in kneeboard. This is because of the wrong spelling in the mission file : KNEEBOARDS with S instead of without S... 2) The takeoff runway has changed (with DCS updates I imagine). So the group is waiting at the opposition direction. Cheers. Dan
