  1. Hello everyone, since the last update, the rearview mirrors on my planes (F-4E, M2000...) remain black or very blurry. I activated the mirrors in the options, and in the cockpit even clicking on the mirrors it no longer works I am on STEAM in stable version. Someone has the same problem ?
  2. In 2020 on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the "TOPGUN" Navy Fighter School, its founder shares the remarkable story of how he and eight other risk-takers revolutionized the art of combat air. Dan Pedersen explains to us how this exceptional school changed the course of the war in Vietnam. The U.S. Navy found its planes being shot down at an unprecedented rate in Vietnam; Dan Pedersen was appointed at the time to find a solution to reverse the trend despite a tight budget and very little support. It was necessary to show NAVY pilots how to best use the F-4 Phantom fighter but also to relearn the fundamentals of air combat. And yes it all started with and because of the F4 PHANTOM..... https://www.historynet.com/the-man-behind-the-topgun-fighter-pilot-school/ In French:
  3. A little reading to get in the mood. “Once a fighter pilot, always a fighter pilot. The old adage perfectly embodies Jerry Cook, who spent 28 years flying Air Force jets, including some 400 hours flying F-4 Phantoms on combat missions over Vietnam. This is an unflinching account of his experiences, by turns poignant and heartbreaking, always extraordinarily honest and compelling. Fighter pilot Jerry W. Cook 12th Tactical Fighter Wing, 558th Tactical Fighter Squadron at CRAB (Cam Ranh Bay Air Base) It is also translated into French, have a good trip! Through this succession of gripping stories, the reader finds himself immersed in the world of Elite fighter pilots. Fear in the stomach and daily exploits are the lot of these exceptional pilots.
  4. After 55 years of service, the Dae Han Min Guk Gong Gun (RoKAF, Republic of Korea Air Force) retired its last operational F-4E Phantoms on 7 June 2024. The retirement ceremony took place at Suwon Air Base, home of the last Phantom unit 153rd Fighter Squadron, part of the 10th Fighter Wing. Four F-4Es took to the sky for their final flight, commemorating its illustrious history within the RoKAF. The ceremony also featured several commemorative flights by F-16s, FA-50s, F-15Ks and F-35As, marking the handover of the Phantom's mission to a new generation of aircraft. The last squadron to operate the Phantom, 153rd FS will officially be disbanded on 1 September 2024. 16. Hello “BIGNEWY” I also had this problem with the M-2000 and the F1. can you explain to me how in my McAfee anti-virus the method to exclude the entire DCS folder from analysis. I can't find it, I can only exclude each .dll that poses a false-positive problem. Thank you for your troubleshooting response.
  17. Hello everyone, here "draconus" helped me and gave me the solution for my DCS STEAM. In my case it is my anti-virus (McAfee) which has a false-positive problem. Good Flights EDIT: Other answers here too:
  18. Thank you for your help "draconus" that's right, my ant-virus (McAfee) has a false-positive problem with the Mirage F1 and Mirage 2000 .dlls which it mistakes for threats. I applied your method but I had to exclude the .dll files by file because I could not find the method with Mc Afee to exclude the complete DCS folder. Everything works now.... I hope that the DCS team will take into account these small false-positive problems and above all communicate clearly on the forum to prevent users who are not IT specialists like me from panicking and looking everywhere for a solution. explanation wondering how their DCS got broken. Thanks again for your help "draconus" and good flights.
  19. Hello "draconus", thank you for your response. Sorry I don't speak English very well, I use Go...translat FR / GB. can you explain to me in more detail your answer "audiovisual software manipulates the module files"???
  20. Hello everyone I am with DCS Steam and since yesterday and the update V2.9.4.53549 of April 10, 2024. I no longer have access to the cockpit of my M2000 or my Mirage F1. When launching the mission I am directly on the map (F10). Obviously, as advised, I removed all my addons with JGSME before installing the update; and I also did a file integrity test in Steam. Everything is OK. I have no problem with the F14, my Gazelle nor with the UH1. This evening I'm in complete stress because I have this message that appears when DCS launches !!!! Have you ever had this problem ?
  21. Hello Admiral, All my best wishes for a good recovery, go slowly but go surely.
