mission 10 Sa-6 issue help 【Spoiler】
MrYeti replied to KenZeng's topic in F/A-18C Raven One: Dominant Fury campaign
Flew this mission last night and can confirm, certainly the first issue. Got shot down my SA6 shortly after so can’t comment on the other two issues. -
investigating Mission 5 - Carrier Crew Taxi
MrYeti replied to MrYeti's topic in F/A-18C Raven One: Dominant Fury campaign
Thanks - posted this and then saw your comment on FB about this exact same issue. Start battery and then salute, that resolves it and you can taxi -
Not got a solution yet.

correct as-is Position light switches reversed
MrYeti replied to Scofflaw's topic in Bugs and Problems
The fuselage and tail spot light switches are swapped. If you switch the fuselage switch it turns the tail light on and vice versa -
All, I wonder if there is anyone out there who is experiencing the same - my Quest seems to loose tracking and my vision 'wobbles'. Problem - Upon starting i have buttery smooth vision, head tracking is fine. However over time, and it doesnt happen all the time, i might get a little 'glitch', or jerk and then it is as if my head is wobbling around. The current solution i have found is to cover the tracking cameras on the outside of my head set, move my head around untill i get the 'lost tracking' message. I can then uncover and it reverts back to normal. It will, however do the same again shortly after. Once its done it once it will do it again. Another solution is to minimise DCS on the comptuter and after a few seconds maximise again. This method doesn't always work. I have had this on my Quest 2 and thought it was just the hardware however I have recenlty got a Q3 and it does the same thing. When i exit out of DCS my desktop is also wobbly untill i quit out of Quest link and it resets. How i run DCS Using Standalone, i start up the Quest link using cable. I start up OTT and then start up DCS in Multithreading. Starting up OTT i have it so it reduces my resolution on the monitor to 1080 which gives me a noticable frame increase. Hardware I7 12700K, 3070Ti 8GB, 32GB Ram Any suggested solutions or thoughts on what is causign the issue would be very welcome Simon Mr Yeti

investigating Mission 3 - No F10 menu at Wpt 1
MrYeti replied to MrYeti's topic in F/A-18C Raven One: Dominant Fury campaign
Hi, thanks for the reply. All the carrier bits work. You check in with flight and the package, depart the carrier, you get the audio with the aircraft that has a fault and has to return and then there is the text about contacting Thor using F10 menu and I can’t get the F10 to appear. I dial in the correct freq and tried both entering freq and the pre programmed number. Tried both comm 1 and 2. Then you get the info about not pushing till 11:50 so held at wpt1 until time then pushed thinking I may be able to get f10 at push time but no joy. as said run it a few times but can’t figure it out. -
I can use the F10 menu upto the transit to the Waypoint 1 hold. Prompt says use F10 to contact mission commander and not leave hold till push time. Tried it 4 times and each time I can’t get the F10 and initially thought it was a DCS error but happens each time. am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?

Hi Razbam, any chance you could implement the helmet visor like you have done in the M2000? it’s terrific in the Mirage and would really help in the AV8. Thanks

Bump - same issue here. Quest2, 3070ti, 12700k, 32Gb

missing info INS Alignment - No Stearpoint Distance on HUD
MrYeti replied to MrYeti's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Having played around with it It looks like your suggestion of 40 being a key point of the alignment. I've actually started doing this however the counter argument is that you start up the aircraft, start alignment and as that is aligning you set up the rest of the aircraft like stores management, weapons, planning mission and add/change steerpoints etc. -
Gentlemen, On the UFD there is a button WOF, which seems to have an action when pressed. The manual calls it Waypoint Over Fly however I can't seem to find out what it does and how it works in any of the manuals. Firstly is it implemented and secondly, as the title says, how is it used?

I stand corrected - Annoyingly I knew that so no idea why i called it Time over Steerpoint! Thanks anyway.

Brilliant - I'll do the same and we can compare notes. -
missing info INS Alignment - No Stearpoint Distance on HUD
MrYeti replied to MrYeti's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Gentlemen, I tried yesterday, process was battery, APU, system switches, Alignment to Norm, enter co-ords on UFD, and didn't then do anything until fully aligned (state 10) then switch to NAV and load weapons etc etc. and it worked. I had full alignment in that I had steerpoint and distance to as well as the red flag on the compass unit disappeared. I will experiment with setting the alignment going and adding weapons during alignment to see if that has an effect and will report back again. -
missing info INS Alignment - No Stearpoint Distance on HUD

Chaps, Thanks - I thought I was getting the same issue regardless of whether i enter the co-ords or not. I'll experiment later today. -
missing info INS Alignment - No Stearpoint Distance on HUD
MrYeti replied to MrYeti's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Hi, Yes, moving knob to NAV once alignment is down to 10 and Align is flashing in the HUD. Again, the steerpoint and distance are displayed on the HMD when I turn my head but not up on the HUD. I can't find anything on the HUD panel (down on the RHS) which solves this. -
missing info INS Alignment - No Stearpoint Distance on HUD
MrYeti replied to MrYeti's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Thanks, tried this last night and didn't edit/re-enter the co-ords and same problem. Interesting - I'll have a look at this as I tend to set the INS Align going and then set up the aircraft including loading weapons so this might be a solution. I'll have a go later and report back. However, when doing this the alignment does reach 10. Yes, happy with how I switch between Nav, A-A, A-G and what that looks like in HUD. One other thing I found out yesterday is that whilst the steer point and distance (looks like this - 56>03, ie 56 miles to spt 3) does appear in the HMD but not the HUD. Will try to diagnose later with all the above suggestions and will respond. Thanks all. -
missing info INS Alignment - No Stearpoint Distance on HUD
MrYeti posted a topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Hi all, Can't figure out if i am doing something wrong so could do with someone pointing out what I am doing in error; Problem - When doing a Cold start and Alignment I sometimes don't get the stearpoint and distance to displayed on the HUD. Procedure for Cold start that I follow; 1. Main Battery on 2. Starter 2 3. Wait for 60 and then Shift>Home 4. all switches on Avionics power panel on RHS (but not the INS knob) 5. UFD- List and 6 to see allinment data. 6. INS knob to Normal 7. Enter N and E coords clicking on Enter after each input. 8. Wait for 8 mins/countdown to 10 9. Cross fingers. What am i doing wrong? Thanks in advance -
Ahh, I’ve wanted to do this too. Thanks for asking the question.
-
Right - That would explains why I can't get it to work. I'll go have a look at the roadmap.

Hi, Looked on forum anc can't find anything so hope im not replicating anything. I've been flying some missions on Red Flag campaign and want to input Time on Target. I have the AV8 and am able to do this to tell you TOT and what speed you need to fly to get to target point at a pre-defined time. There is the option in the Steerpoint page of the DED to add a TOS (Time on Station), and there is a Delta TOS on the Time page but neither seem to take an entered time. Does this work, has it been implemented and how do you use it? Cheers Yeti

I found that too however I found that if you wait for it to go slightly over 20% (22 to 25%) let it settle and then RShift and Home and it works. Good luck.

Sky Warrior - AV8B - Mission 5 Liberate Kobuleti
MrYeti replied to MrYeti's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yes, i've completed it. If you get Wingman 1 to attack and destroy the first group, wingman 2 to destroy the second group (make sure that the two Mig21s are killed before they get your wingmen) then all you need to do is destroy the two tanks, the building and then keep a eye out on the southern taxiway for the two SU25's that are taxing to the runway. Kill them with GBU-12's Boom mission complete. -
