Ramp up to 4x MSAA and/or FXAA with reshade/3dmitigo and/or increase render resolution (In other words, get a very potent GPU. there is only one atm. ) Clouds looking ok for me at standard level already.

You can try to use the setting below. See Screenshot in the thread. It works for me. In addition: You have to go to options special/ultraleap and VR tab manually after each DCS restart to reapply the behavior (it's a bug/workaround).

Hi, I have a question. How to enable the play buttons in Liberation GUI? I basically want to start "in" the mission and having flying assets when joining. I can't find the right setting or documentation about it. Thanks alot! Screenshot from a youtube video:

hab 13700k + 4090 und ein 850w Seasonic Netzteil. Da hat man definiv keine Probleme solange man kein extreme Overclocking vor hat. Ergo: Läuft absolut stabil auch mit furmark und prime95 im Dauerbetrieb. (Nicht am Netzteil sparen. Ich setze auf Seasonic)

I never noticed any problem checking my six with only one v1.0 lighthouse (seated setup)

Hi, how to turn off the hand tracking "laser pointers"? I'm using leap motion gemini 5.7.2? I can't find a setting in the software or DCS itself. I copied the updated leapC.dll to the bin DCS\bin folder. @edmuss you made hint on that in another thread yesterday. Pls help

Pls share miz or mp_server and I will test. (PM me just in case)

who has actually upgraded to the 5800x3D chip?
TKu replied to skypickle's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Instant Action: Caucasus, Graphic Preset= High, Vsync = Off, 1440p full screen, DCS 2.8.0.33006 TF-51: Hot Start: Fps = 220 SU-25T: Free Flight: Fps = 240 As said in the other thread, CPU (or RAM) does not make the game fast alone. -
Interesting, maybe I'll give it another try. Your leap is mounted to the VR HMD ponting more downwards?

Specter got an issue with his new Aero. My answer was related to that. Something is still wrong in his setup. Please see above.

I've got 90fps, it must be something wrong at your end. Are you using openVR through steamVR or openXR+Toolkit? 1) And Background processes running? 2) dcs_updater repair eventually? (Backup your Dev work :)) 3) You don't need openvr_api.dll

I've tested leapmotion... And I don't like it.

No issues so far. I'm also new to Aero for a few days. Mine is mounted on the ceiling in Front of me. Remember, you would like to own a 4090 soon...

One is enough for seated applications. You'll never go back

Hi @Supmua Thanks for sharing your settings in the initial post very very helpful. I still struggle with this: To confirm: This is not "VB/Vsync" and the "VB/Analytics 45fps" limit must be manually set each time I start DCS? It looks like after a restart of DCS, VB/VSync is now on and 45fps setting is no longer active (from frametime graph).

Let me know. I'll be available to share my 13gen/32gb 3600 cl16 ddr4/4090 results against 5800x3d. But as said, I expect only a few % difference. Edit: Setup: High settings, heat blur off, instant action, marianas, ah-64 start on runway miz, in VR (Varjo Aero OpenVr 70%) and 2d screen 1920x1080. Reshade 5.5 level correction+ lumasharpen on. Added Screenshots from the engine using the given settings above. I know it is not very accurate, but I had only a few minutes so far.

Does OXRT foveating with eye tracking already working with DCS? Got my Aero a few days ago. Not tested yet. Happy to exchange further

DCS is not MSFS: it has a completly different architecture. Single core: I assume 13700k has in general a faster single core performance than the x3d. Maybe it us close in DCS Performance. Single core overclocking can push the limits for DCS on intel once again. All-core useage: intel will outperform coz it is newer. (Beats threadrippper as well) (My) Conclusion: I‘ve got 13700k/4090/VR Aero and I can tell you that the 4090 does the workload. So if cpu's performance is close, you would also have the fastest available GPU as well to be happy. There is no term of saving money or having the big advantage one over another. It must be fast enough to fire the GPU. Today i would go for intel 13k. if there is no pressure, wait for the next gen x3d and compare it again in a few months.

Also mit Openxr machts schon Spass. Grafisch kann ich es akzeptieren und es läuft flüssig. Ist ja auch eine Sim, kann ich verschmerzen. (13700k, 6900xt)

Best available DCS CPU is Raptor Lake 13700k regardless of DDR5 or DDR4. RAM performance is more or less equal.

New Intel 13k series CPUs. Worth the wait?
TKu replied to tomcat_driver's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
9900k to 13700kf, 6900xt, reverb g2: It decreased my frametime from 13ms down to 6ms in my current Mission. This results from 45-50fps to 50-60fps (Marinas, low level Helo, many many units spread over the islands(statica and ai), several AI flights, 6x SAM air defense). Definetly an improvement, but no revolution. 4090 would improve Msaa quality of life. Further testing in progress.
