I had the same issue and I wished I had read the above before. I even re-installed DCS!! The solution posted by "Russiandivxclub" works perfectly well. You do NOT need to leave the DCS Beta, ONLY the Steam Beta

Hi Glen, As with the Serpent's Head, great campaign many thanks. I have a question please. After finishing the "normal" version of the Persian Lion campaign, I jumped into the Increased Difficulty version and loved the extra bits for Missions 1 and 2 (meaning the Time on Target for the first and the Fly close to the track for the second). However, for the next three missions I have not seen any difference. Is that correct? Thanks again Glen and many congratulations again on this release, John

Many thanks @baltic_dragon. All understood and great to know you are looking at it. Fantastic campaing. Difficult, but a very steep learning curve, so lots of sweat, repeating every missing minimum three or four times, but all good fun. Cheers!

Guys, I am looking for advice please. I have tried Mission 10 like 7 times, and no matter what, I get shot down by a missile launched from the island before Bandar Abbas. I have tried flying very close in formation to Cajun, far from Cajun, release chaff/flares, take evasive actions... and no matter what I do, I ALWAYS got shot down by THAT missile. Any suggestions please? I see I am not alone, which is a relief, but I do not see any replies/suggestions. Hopefully @baltic_dragon may give us a clue please? Cheers!

Dear ED, Thanks a lot for keeping up with the product and for moving ahead with improvements. Some of them may cause trouble but I am sure in the end ED will have a great product. I am afraid that with the new release (2.7.0.5659 Open Beta) my VR crashes all the time. It starts with micro stuttering, then it becomes a big stutter, and the I get kicked out of VR. I have an Intel i9-10850K, 32GB of RAM and an NVidia GForce RTX 3080. Prior to this patch I was fine, though now I cannot play (litterally). Any help would be much appreciated please.

reported VR Controllers: Lost laser pointer and bindings
john_e_alarcon replied to ldwater's topic in VR Bugs
@StevanJ and @Fri13, you both ought to meet in a server and play against each other a couple of matches @BIGNEWY, thank for that man. As you can see, there is plenty of frustration in the air (me included) about the new controls in VR. I believe that is because we all love DCS and we are very much into it, so we just want to sit and enjoy it a lot. Looking forward to the fix! -
Yes, this is the other problem with 2.7. not only the "green laser" is gone, but now you can hardly turn knobs. It is practically not possible. I have reported this to Customer services since I cannot really play. So maybe if they receive more feedback on this, ED would fix it soon. Cheers

Guys, you are totally correct about the new gloves. It is nice in principle but now turning knobs is close to impossible. And I have another problem I hope someone could help with plese? In various opportunities when I try to push a button, or turn a knob, the gloves end up grabbing the stick and the plane then goes flying nuts (I have lost missions because of this issue). Is there a way in which one can de-activate the option for the gloves to take the stick and/or the throttle? I am fine pressing buttons and turning things around though, so I wouldn't like to cancel those options. Thanks in advance for any help on the matter. Best

Hi all, I am wondering if I could get some help please. Dear Sir/Madam, Many thanks for the 2.7 update to DCS which was very much expected. I have tried it via VR in Steam, and please let me provide feedback on a couple of bugs please: Turning the knobs is close to impossible. I have an HP Reverb G2 and while previously I used to see the "laser" from the tip of my globe, so I could see clearly where I was pointing at, now I cannot see the "laser" I am afraid, so it is rather difficult to see where you are pointing to. But most importantly, while in the past it was very easy and straightforward to turn knobs (with the help of the pointing laser), now it really is very complicated. Almost no control there I am afraid. When in Air to Air refueling, I make contact with the hose, with then immediately I receive a message saying "fuel completed", but I received no fuel at all. Finally, is it possible to not allow the "globes" in VR to control the plane joystick and throttle? I have had various accidents since while trying to press some buttons in the cockpit, the VR globe "grabs" the joystick so the plane starts moving all around the place. Thanks a lot again for your work, and looking forward to some patches on the above, John

I do have the Super Carrier module already and would be very keen on Flying the Serpent Head's campaigns (1 and 2) again, this time from the SC. And fantastic news about "Rise of the Persian Lion". Totally ready for it!!!. Campaign 1 of at least 2 or 3 campaigns I hope. Please do keep moving on with your great work and with very best, John

Glyn, Serpent's Head 1 and 2 campaigns are wonderful pieces of work. I am kind of new to DCS, so after learning some of the basics of flying and arms along many (really many) hours, I decided to be brave and go for your first campaign, mainly because it was for free so I thought: I loss nothing. And it really was a fantastic experience. For both campaigns my hands sweat a lot in some missions, I failed and had to do some missions three or four times while some I did on the first attempt. Very vivid experience. I truly loved it. Great story, no just get on a plane and shoot, but all being a sequence of logic events and with nice dialogues. Many congratulations and I would be more than happy to buy your next campaign (very much looking forward to it actually). Take care and with very best! John

Sorry guys...I know what it was. The coordinates provided are DD MM SS Decimal SS, while the precise coordinates in the HSI data are DD MM decimal Minutes. That made the trick! So N 44 13 18.27 should be N 44 13 ENTER 30 45 ENTER
