  2. The F-18 would be the one at fault. Most friendly fire I see is from Hornet pilots not turning on their IFF stuff and just shooting everything because it will give a hostile return.
  3. The Iranian cat is a special version of the cat with very important differences from the A/B we currently have, would be a significant addition to the tomcat line-up. The only thing that would make something like the sparrowhawk a worthwhile addition is to have something meaningful in changes such as an F-14D. It’s just not worth the time or effort.
  4. I see, thank you for your time
  5. I’ll preface by saying I’m quite happy about the new lofting and guidance brought to the AIM-54 Phoenix with the new API. I’m specifically wondering if there are plans to change the harsh corner turn the Phoenix makes when entering the terminal dive from the loft into a more gradual curve to conserve more energy. The current sharp turn it makes bleeds up to a quarter or so of its energy based on how high it lofts which really hurts longer shots. Lastly, I know the C’s seeker isn’t modeled yet, but I wanted to know if there were possibly any loft profile changes planned for the C variant (maybe whenever the seeker head is modeled) as I’ve read that it had different loft abilities compared to the A. Thank you in advance for any response. You guys at Heatblur do an amazing job. Keep up the great work!
  6. That’s not something the third party developers can fix. That’s something ED has to do about kill counting. The best you can do is chalk it up to the people you shoot down throwing a fit that you shot them down and not wanting to reward you with the kill. It’s not the fault of HB.
  7. Manually manipulating the MLC filter isn’t going to magically solve the issue you’re having. You still don’t have manual control over the radar like a human RIO would when in MP. Jester is going to struggle when you inevitably get ground returns. The thing already automatically disabled with a radar elevation angle of positive 3 degrees, so literally just enter a dive after firing. Intercept geometry isn’t hard in the tomcat, and it helps the radar because now you’re not trying to pick up contacts in your filters.
  8. If you’re really struggling that bad, I suggest learning proper intercept geometry. It’ll really help the radar out. It’s not complex in the Tomcat at all to learn intercept geometry at all. I mean, it’s an interceptor after all.
  9. The MLC automatically turns off when the radar has a positive elevation of at least 3 degrees. So just enter a slight dive after taking a shot and you’ll avoid the issue most of the time without a human RIO.
  10. The 3 numbers on the middle left of the TID refer to upper and lower scan (in thousands of ft) and the middle number is the radar’s current elevation angle
  11. With the gun selected, there is no visible diamond showing you the radar search area. It is still functioning though so you just have to trust it.
