  1. It would be awesome if you could convert TacView files to .trk files. Perhaps it's possible, I do own TacView but I rarely use it.

  4. In FC3 you have to do a horrible landing in order to crash. In the Mustang and A-10C it's another story. Practice straight in approaches, pattern approaches, overhead brakes and emergency landings. You will soon learn when to use each method.
  5. If Sony and Microsoft had a reasonable price on the game 95% would buy new games instead of used ones. They are trying to solve a problem they created for themselves with an even worse business model. Be honest and do good shit is the way to go if you wanna be successful and respected.
  6. Ripple pairs = 1 only release one rocket for me. I'm 99% certain the only difference between the modes is the release sequence. So if you want to release 3 pairs you need to ripple pairs 6
  7. Such a bunch of whiners. There is a lot of stable DCS World patches. No one is forcing you to update. And it's hilarious some people are crying about the lack of information when there is a section with only official updates. And the last update is like a week old. You want a daily weather forecast from ED's office aswell? You bought a product, not exclusive insight in ED's office. You have to cash up a bit more to get that access. Trolls.

  14. I can assure you ED is solving ALL MP related bugs they can find. They are probably as pissed as we are and want to put a stop into this so they can focus on developing the product. And don't worry about delaying the new modules. They work in parallell and eg. sound, flight model and graphics engineers still continue to work on their projects. It's only the "DCS engine" people who work on the MP problems.
  15. The last thing you wanna do in a monster project is to implement small snippets of improved code into untested code and release. IMHO this was tested with 1.2.2 and we got like 10 hot fixes in a week if you remember ;) Let them test the whole build and let other companies do the copy paste patching ;)
  16. Suchacz thanks for the tip. I don't wanna use that because it will ruin the immersion for me. I just want a feature that compensate for the fact the 2D screen can't replicate a 3D environment. If I fly IRL I can easily spot objects in the sky from far away. In DCS the objects appear much smaller then they would in reality. Smart scaling would increase the size of the objects when they are far away, and gradually adjust the size as they come closer. Within 1nm the object size is quite ok, but beyond that it's too small.
  17. I've read your test before PeterP. It still doesn't change the fact it's a pain in the *ss to find airborne targets. If you know where to look its easy, in a combat situation you don't.
  18. I'm not talking about GROUND UNITS. I'm talking about AIR UNITS. As i posted, i rarely use the TGP at all. Because that is easy mode. So please, feel free to discuss air target spotting. Not ground...
  19. The concept have potential. And BMS scaling is way better then no scaling.
  20. Smart scaling for aircrafts. Ground units are quite easy to find and we actually opt out the TGP most of the time because its easy mode.. ;)
  21. Keep up the good work! A stable MP environment is top priority imho. If you need more clients to really push the net code EtherealN know where to find us ;)
  22. I'm talking about the feature BMS have. When enabled, it scale units so you can spot them more easily. This is to compensate for the fact that you are viewing a 3d enviroment on a 2d screen. imho, it's way too hard to find AIR opponents as it is now, and the player with the lowest resolution has the advantage. Is a similar feature planned for DCS world? EDIT: I'm only suggesting Smart Scaling for air units
  23. You only have to get out of your own downwash. Once you are in undisturbed air you're fine.
