  1. He's not referring to the SERVER setting that controls whether or not you broadcast to Master Server. He is referring to the Network Speed setting in Multiplayer Options. Empirical studies have shown you reduce warping by using LAN instead of ADSL settings. But anyway, i don't think this is causing your issue. I'd suggest a complete re-install of DCS World and all your modules. If you only uninstall World, you will keep your settings.
  2. No, not nerfed, they are still WIP. Still tuning to be done. GGTharos have explained in a few threads, search for it.
  3. It's rare to get a warning when your HDD's go BOOM! This is just an unlucky coincidence. If your BIOS supports it go into the S.M.A.R.T. utility and run a diagnose, otherwise install a S.M.A.R.T. diagnose software on a USB-stick and boot the diagnose.
  4. Try the torrent och direct download options it's like a 6GB download, but with a decent connection you should have it down well within an hour.
  5. You get warping if the host can't handle everything going on. Empirical studies have shown that in 1.2.2 setting network to LAN solved most of the issues. We had some warping yesterday when playing a MASSIVE mission with 10 clients. But not a single disconnect.
  6. Can't rearm at FARPs, probably a user error in ME, but what am i missing?
  7. If you are hosting, and want your clients to be able to EXPORT = yes true If you are hosting, and DON'T wan't your clients to export = leave it default false This is how i interpreted c0ff's post.
  8. Notching correctly (forcing the aggressors radar to look down) is very effective IRL. You basically get very little doppler return and you get a lot of ground noise. Without doppler return the radar can't distinguish between ground and aircraft returns.
  9. I thought it was the same issue too, but apparently not. I was orbiting at 5000ft in my A-10C and my squaddie tested the new GC features. Suddenly he told me to look down below me and I saw some huge explosions, without any FPS drops at all. I think he used 3-4 MLRS system at once. It covered roughly the same area as an 87. I can't really say if the explosions was new, perhaps a little bit brighter. I was preparing for the usual 10 FPS decrease we had in 1.2.2 but it didn't happen.
  10. My first 1.2.3 test flight was on 104th (looks like an awesome mission!) It had tankers, awacs, lots of units and around 6-9 players when i joined. Worked like a charm! Later we ran a mission with INSANE amounts of ground units, known to crash with 1.2.2. But it worked perfect with ~5 clients.
  11. The MLRS problem is fixed though, no stuttering at all. What version of CBU's is decreasing FPS?
  12. The auto updater is choked, just try again or wait a few minutes. The minute it came online my seeding went from constant 11 MB/s to 4MB/s. so it's working, a lot of people abandoned the torrent.
  13. Ok, that's depressing but I hope they consider changing it so clients can use AI too. That would open up a totally new way of playing online. Thanks for the reply Eddie.
  14. We did a test now, shared the same mission. The host can always control the air assets, clients can't. Tested on multiple computers.
  15. I just made a thread in DCS World/Multiplayer asking that question. Hopefully someone can confirm or deny.
  16. During a quick test we noticed only the host could control AI air units. The client can't issue waypoints or attack orders. The speed and altitude sliders read 0, and the readout won't change when you move the sliders. Bug or feature?
  17. Don't know if it's a bug, or just a random crash.
  18. Activation keys are checked during startup, should not be your issue. I recommend a complete uninstall, backup Saved Games folder, delete it. And install everything again,
  19. So, any bugs or crashes yet? The host crashed when going from CA direct to F-15C, works when going CA > Spectator > F-15C. I could switch a lot when i was client.
  20. Turbohog, if you still wanna download fast, come to our ts and you can access our FTP.
  21. I'm seeding 11MB/s, and only downloading 250KB/s, GIMME SOME! :D
  22. EtherealN stop chatting and start testing! :D Kram
  23. Oh please! Four pages and no one understood ED is satisfied with the net code!! This is awesome news! And rectifying this bug is probably 1234% easier then rewriting the net code! Thank you ED! Now I see the light in the end of the two month tunnel! I could only wish for more frequent updates since the net code is fixed, perhaps a one liner each day or every two days. Thanks.
  24. If they got issues, i can host it on my FTP (100/100mbit)!!!! :D Gief 1.2.3
  25. Other features and fixes planned for 1.2.4 have to be ready as well. If they are testing the 1.2.3 installer as Wags stated it would be a huge waste of resources not releasing it asap. But both ED and the customers have really high expectations on the net code, so no one wants to see a failure now when it's been "delayed" (reworked) for 2 months. So I don't think we see 1.2.4 just yet.
