  1. Sorry I never saw this! I'm afraid the AHCP is gone to a friend. Warthog and MFD's are on eBay for anyone still looking!
  2. Sadly I've had no joy shifting this gear, so I'm going to reluctantly resign myself to parting it out. I really want to rebuild the pit into a racing rig and all this gear is the funding sat in a cupboard right now. I'm going to keep one of the Leo Bodnar boards, but name a component and I'll price it up, and we'll go from there. Of course if someone sees this and wants the lot, get in touch quickly, the previous offer from the OP is still standing!
  3. Yeah, always twin screens. That's with Helios running a second screen full of gauges plus MFCD's, RWR, Digi Clock , UHF Repeater and CMSC outputs. In other games I just have the Steam games page/ racing track maps etc running on it.
  4. I have the 570 Phantom, and it's solid as a rock. Nothing I've thrown at is yet has put it below 40 FPS, including pCARS, BF3, Crysis 2 (With Hi Res Textures + DX11) and DCS A-10C.
  5. It's all still available.
  6. Hi Gary, I'm in Maidstone. I have someone who may already interested in a large part of it, but with the proviso in place that theres a slight chance that it may be spoken for, you're welcome to come and have a poke around it. I'll PM you my email address.
  7. The display was given to me, so I'll throw that in inclusive.
  8. Update: Most stuff is sold, still have my Warthog and MFD's on eBay! Will link when I can get to a computer - My username is 5erith!
  9. You can partition the HD using a built in app called Bootcamp. It allows you to run the machine as a full Windows system.
  10. Excuse my ignorance, I'm an OS X person when it comes to day to day computing, where repairing/upgrading an OS will retain the user files. I'll avoid reinstalling the OS as long as I can, hopefully there's another solution, but thanks a lot for the input so far guys!
  11. What about my actual files? I have a lot of rFactor mods etc and other files that would have to be re-downloaded, which is a lot of work, especially if reinstalling doesn't solve the problem.
  12. Is it possible to reinstall Windows without losing all my files? One thing I really don't want to go through is reinstalling all my software and games, as I am very anal when it comes to filing things! :P
  13. About 2 years I'd say. Do you know if there's a way I can check that for sure? I have reinstalled once but I think it was quite a long time ago.
  14. Hi all, hopefully someone here is going to be able to solve this problem for me! My PC seems to be completely locking up almost every time when being accessed over LAN, and less frequently when reading/writing to external drives. I can't think of anything particular that has changed and started the problem, but I have installed multiple games, apps and updates between it never happening, and it being constant, so it'd be a lot of work trying to isolate anything without any direction. Of course it's one of those things you don't do everyday so it's impossible to pinpoint the exact time it started happening. I've run Avast and CCleaner as typical maintenance tasks, ran Chkdsk, and checked the Event viewer, all of which were inconclusive. Event viewer shows completely normal activity up until the file transfer starts, which is when the system crashes, which has absolutely no documentation, indicating to me that the computer is totally jamming up, meaning not even the Event Log can capture information. Specs: Win 7 x64 AMD Athlon 64 6000+ x2 5Gb DDR2 500Gb SATA HDD
  15. Nice Hakon! Looks great, so many panels you've made!
  16. I'm a lefty too, albeit a weird one! I play right handed guitar, kick with my right foot, but eat with the fork in my left and write with my left! Buuut if you want to be an A-10 pilot, real or virtual, then you're going to have to adapt! Every fighter for that matter is laid out in a right handed system, so it's always going to be a compromise!
  17. As long as you put one or two case fans along the pipe, (which could be wired into your bleed air switch!), then the back pressure caused by the bottleneck should be alleviated and give you more air pressure at the same time! Would also help to increase the noise, adding to the immersion factor! I think I'm gonna do this!
  18. Well deserved wins! Great job to the ED team.
  19. Very useful to know. It also looks like they require a certain type of printer to work with, and even more specific to print white, which pretty much rules out that unless I have a company make them up! There is a Dymo printer at work so I'll have a play if I get a chance!
  20. Looks very good! I might also look at getting some transfer sheets made up, which would take out the possibility of having those edges showing. My only concern is how well the adhesive would stick to the painted wood.
  21. Very interesting idea Shagrat, have you got any photos?
  22. Well, primer testing is going well! Drying up nicely, and I'm testing out some grey now. While I was waiting for the paint to dry I decided to throw my latest photo into Photoshop and see how it could potentially look after paint. Very big difference! Check it out!
  23. Just got some MDF primer and a little pot of test colour, so I'll be posting some photos a little later tonight so you can see how it turns out. Painting MDF is something I've always been a little concerned about, mainly because of the risks of it absorbing all the paint and swelling up, so I'm just doing some tests on my cutoff pieces at the moment. I still haven't decided how I'm going to tackle my panel text just yet. Because they're made of MDF, not acrylic, a laser engraver is not going to be an option. I looked into printing the text onto paper but it never seems to look very high quality in my opinion, the black never seems to be as deep as it should. Very concerning as I simply have no other ideas!
  24. Great job, very useful to know. I think I'll set mine up the same! You could also set a switch to turn on the CDU and INS aswell, perhaps even some of the computer systems. CICU, JTRS and IFCC!
  25. I'm pretty sure it does, anyway. I remember reading something to that degree anyway! Of course it'd only be a minimal amount of input/correction, it's a stability enhancement remember, not an automated system :P Haha you are correct! Funny you should mention it because I always wondered if it was too small to see clearly! I took the photo at Farnborough airshow! Linky!
