  1. I did have a nVidia 770GTX 2GB, I am running at 1920x1080
  2. So I just recently upgraded to this card and WOW. I have everything turned on high and this card doesn't seem to break a sweat. I have been flying around for about 2 days with it and so far I cannot believe how awesome this card is. The only weird thing is the MSI Afterburner software does not show the GPU in full use its usually around 60-80% but rarely at 100% yet my FPS never drops below 57. If you are on the fence about a new card this thing is a beast. I upgraded from a nVidia 770 2GB card and am just blown away at how much better things look. Spadje
  3. EDIT: Nevermind I had to download the Logitech Profiler software. It isn't listed anymore...
  4. I'm in would be nice to have another module :) Thanks for the giveaway guys :)
  5. Not complaining but I love how EDGE is now on its 3rd year of development (or is it 2?) and each year it is due out it doesn't come. Kinda reminds me of Duke Nukem Forever....just hope it is worth it :)
  6. dang I was really hoping you had something there but it is listing them as the same as the display properties of windows :(
  7. Thanks for the reply but if you notice in the first picture it is setup correctly, non touch screen is on the left and the touch screen is on the right. Yet in Helios it shows opposite. I have changed DVI cables and swapped positions but for some reason Helios shows the Touch screen as my primary monitor which it is not. I have gone through the touch screen setup and that works correctly also.
  8. So I have been out of DCS for a bit but have recently wanted to get back in. I installed Helios for my 24inch touch screen and went to the profile editor and for some reason it is showing my touch screen on the left instead of the right. So when I load my profile it shows up on my non touch screen monitor instead of the monitor to the right. I have done the reset monitor and changed the numbers around to show monitor 1 as 2 or 2 as 1 and it still screws it up. Is there something I am missing? Thanks, Spadje EDIT: Some pictures of what I am talking about Default Windows Settings How Helios sees the monitors How it displays my profile on the left monitor and not the right monitor (touch screen) Me changing which monitor shows what How messed up it is when i do that...
  9. DCS is more demanding on the CPU, however, the GPU does get hit pretty hard. I went from an ATI 6950 2GB to an Asus 770GTX and am just blown away at how much of a difference there is. It runs much smoother than with the ATI card. The general consensus, I think now, is that Nvidia is the way to go at least.
  10. Your card does support DX11, its on the low end but it does support it. When you install a game and it asks if you want to install DX again then yes it is overwritting already what is there. You can usually skip it unless there is an update for DX and you dont have it.
  11. Thanks for the vids, will get to have some fun tonight :)
  12. Awesome, I just started looking into this and am surprised to how easy everything looks. Didnt think it would be this simple but you guys have it nailed down. Thanks
  13. I am picking up a 27inch touch screen tonight and was wondering what software should I use to export the buttons and stuff? I only know of Helios and I didnt know if that would work with a standard touch screen. Also if Helios is the only option could anyone send me a link to the best how to's on it? I appreciate the help EDIT: I am on the Helios webpage and am looking at their guide, just wondering if you guys had something better. Thanks, Spadje
  14. From what I can tell and the tests I am doing, when the map is up sure enough 1 of my cores is still being taxed since there is data on the map and it is working that data. I dont see this as a leak, as Abburo pointed out a leak is where the CPU would stay at 100% even when the screen is gone. Those are pretty rare in these days since Windows 7 and Windows 8 are better at killing leaking tasks. Memory leaks on the other hand, they seem to overlook. (Not referring to DCS)
  15. Email sent thanks guys :)
  16. I dont see why Xfire would not work with DCS, however, speaking from experience, AMD Crossfire DOES NOT work with DCS. Thats why I now have a GTX 770, used to have 2x6950's and performance was worse with Crossfire than it was with single card.
  17. Im running the 1st gen i7. I have a friend running the new i5's with the same video card and we get about the same performance in DCS. For me, if I had the money, I would go with the newer i7 and not worry about anything for a while lol. Since DCS only utilizes 2 cores (one for audio the other for the game) its more about GHz anyways. So on my i7 I have disabled hyper threading to and noticed that the game actually runs better. So an i5 clocked at 4.5GHz would probably perform just as well as an i7 at 4.5GHz
  18. As of right now I would say your setup looks good except for the GPU. DCS does better with nVidia right now and the I went with the 770GTX before all this Bitcoin stuff took off. This card makes the game run smooth and is very playable at 1920x1080 w/ everything set to high. Now if DCS isnt going to be your primary game then the 280x is a better card for the money, there is no such thing as overkill for DCS or any top title now (unless you go with the GTX Titan Z) but even then you probably couldn't run every game maxxed out.
  19. I went from an ATi 6950 to an nVidia 770GTX and it is amazing how much better the game runs, and the ability to turn more options on in the graphics settings. It just looks and runs much better with nVidia IMO.
  20. Same here I have a PCIE 2.0 and running the Asus 770GTX 2GB and love it
  21. Don't get the 4GB card unless you are running 1440p or higher. There are no gains and sometimes it performs poorly compared to the 2GB card. I have the 770 2GB and its an amazing card. So save the money and go for it instead.
  22. Sometimes plugging it into a completely different USB port will help. Otherwise you may need to remove the USB installation record in the Registry. The location of those records are HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB there are probably several listings listed and you will need to go into each one until you find the one that shows the device name of your controller. Once you find it unplug your device from the computer then delete that key. Once deleted you should be able to plug the device back in and Windows should see it as a new device and install it without issue. Hope that helps.
  23. Good point, should have known it doesnt support OSX lol gahh, is it Friday yet?
  24. I dont think there is a DXdiag on a mac system, since its Mac OS and not Microsoft Windows....
  25. PM'd counter offer is welcomed :)
