Hattrick, do you know if your Windows firewall is on?
-
I understand Colo, I was just wanting to know if I need to add multiple ports on the app side or if I need to change the port manually when I want to switch to CDU or different MFDs. No hurry on my side, willing to help if needed. Thanks again. :) EDIT: After uninstalling and reinstalling everything works beautifully, just have to change the ports manually, will definitely chip in some money, testing and anything else :) Thanks,
-
Yeah I did upgrade and have the choice of left of right MFD now, however, if I click right it shows left because the only port that is set in the software right now is 13267 and when it connects it shows that is the port it is set on. Am I supposed to enter multiple ports in the network settings of the app? Thanks again for all the hard work.

Colo, Thank you for this awesome program. I have a Nexus 10 and have installed the software. I may have missed something though, I am unable to view but only 1 MFD at a time and cannot get the CDU to come up unless I kill the program on the system and the tablet and change my port number ...is there an easier way to do this? Thanks, Spadje

So I have a chance of buying 2 used tablets. One is the Asus TF700T the other is the Google Nexus 10. I want the 10 inch for a multitude of reasons and already have a 7inch cheapy that is great for reading. I will probably be using this with DCS A-10C to export my switches and buttons so that I can use it on a touch screen instead of having to use the mouse. I like that the Nexus has an insane DPI but I thought the GPU in the Asus was better. I have read over all the specs and am stuck. I can get either one for about the same price +/- 10 bucks. So which would you choose and why? Thanks :)

Catalyst 13.8B - Back to the box!
Spadje replied to Jeesus's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
According to AMD's website for these drivers they state the following "Support for AMD CrossFire™ Frame Pacing Frame Pacing ensures that frames rendered across multiple GPUs in a CrossFire configuration will be displayed at an even and regular pace. Enabled through the AMD Catalyst Control Center; Globally or on a per application basis. Frame Pacing is enabled by default. Supported for DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 applications, and resolutions up to and including 2560x1600 (single display)." So yes the frame pacing may help single gpu's but according to AMD and the reviews of these drivers they are mainly built for multi gpu systems. With these drivers I actually gain about 3-5fps but overall it is lower than the 13.5's that I was on before. However, the majority of my games that utilize xfire they run a ton smoother and stick at 60fps with V-sync on. EDIT: So what I am saying is that single GPU users shouldnt even worry about these drivers, for now at least. -
Catalyst 13.8B - Back to the box!
Spadje replied to Jeesus's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
What you all are not understanding is that these newer drivers are mainly for people running 2 or more cards. The highest drivers that I have used would have to be 13.5 or 13.6. Since I play several games with crossfire on I prefer the new beta drivers since it smooths things out -
Benchmark here (DCS World 1.2.4 A-10C module reqired)
Spadje replied to xracer's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
So did some testing with the new 13.8 beta drivers and noticed an increase in frames. So running crossfire off I get 8fps with your benchmark and the card is running 59% solid. With crossfire on I get 10fps and both cards are running 43%. The only thing is in order for crossfire to work I have to run the game in full screen mode and I cant do that since I have the mfd's exported to another monitor :( -
That is an awesome setup, as of now I have a 20inch monitor being used for my MFD's and some other viewports, it seems to be working well. I will look into that touch monitor pretty good price it seems. Thanks
-
Would i be better off getting a 10inch tablet and selling these thrustmasters? EDIT: Just tested with a 7inch cheapo tablet and my frames dropped drastically. So I think I may want to stick with possibly a smaller monitor type setup and use my MFDs and get rid of one of my 24inch monitors possibly. Thanks, Spadje

Yeah I saw some screen shots of the 7inch in them....doesnt really make me happy. Ugh.. I dont think the wife will let me spend an extra ~110 bucks.

I want them to fit well not with a ton of excess screen hanging out.

So I am looking at getting 2 of these I am also running the following i7 920 @ 3.8GHz 16GB DDR3 128GB Crucial M4 SSD 2xRadeon 6950 2GB 3xAcer H233H monitors I just want to make sure I can just plug these in and have my MFDs velcro'd to the monitors and everything work :) Any thoughts on these monitors? Thanks, Spadje

Benchmark here (DCS World 1.2.4 A-10C module reqired)
Spadje replied to xracer's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ok here is something odd. I am clocked at 3.5GHz with my i7 920. I upped my clocks to 3.6GHz and it lost me 1fps on average. Could it be a memory thing? I am running 16GB of G.Skill 1333 (oc'd to 1400)....kinda strange I would lose performance on overclocking my CPU. EDIT: Just clocked down to 3.2GHz and now run 14.2fps average....I am so confused. I am going to test this at stock speeds.... -

Why has flaming cliffs 3 gone up to 50 dollars
Spadje replied to tangsoudao's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
ED I love what you have done with FC3, yeah there are still some bugs but at least we get some fast movers for both sides, just absolutely beautiful, glad I purchased it when it was first released in beta :) -
Yeah force feedback is disabled, going to try again. That did it, stupid force feed back lol, thanks guys.
-
Have a quick question, it seems this has happened before to me and I cannot remember how to resolve it. When I hit my button to trim the plan nothing happens in sim. I can see the corresponding button on the flight stick move when I hit the trim button but the plane will not trim. Any thoughts? This started after I formatted and had to reset all my buttons :( Thanks Spadje

[How To] Export ALL Indicators like MFCD via ViewPorts
Spadje replied to icemaker's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
OK I must be missing something. I have my MFCDs exported to the monitor and setup great. I now want to stop rendering the in cockpit MFCDs....how exactly do I do that? Thanks -
Wags great news and thanks for the update. The ED team is doing a great job.
