Welcome to the Virtual United States Navy (VUSN) and your opportunity to learn and enjoy virtual naval aviation at its finest. The VUSN was established in December 1999 by Todd Cox (USN ret.) and Mark Di Domenico (USN ret.) with the goal of affording opportunities for fellow simmers that enjoy naval aviation. Membership is open to mature individuals (at least 21 years of age) of any nationality and our membership currently covers many time zones. The VUSN was built on the philosophy of setting the bar high while at the same time allowing pilots to enjoy our hobby of Naval Aviation simulation. The VUSN CVW-7 is for dedicated DCS pilots looking for FUN and camaraderie within an organizational structure like a real-world carrier air wing. While we have the feel of a military structure, we strive to provide a relaxed, non-competitive virtual military combat organization. One specific policy of the VUSN is that we want dedicated and focused DCS pilots only flying with one group. While we hope that is the VUSN, we believe that you should focus your efforts and provide 100% support of one group. The VUSN tries to emulate real-world procedures, tactics, and aircraft systems usage, thus one needs to spend time honing one's piloting and procedural skills.

Carrier Air Wing 66 is a DCS World PVE multiplayer group, centered around US Navy fighters and operations. We currently operate two (fictional) US Navy squadrons; VF-119 "Tridents", flying the F-14B Tomcat and VFA-166 "Maulers", flying the F/A-18C Hornet. We focus on realistic tactics, techniques and procedures, and focus on flying and cooperating together, primarily in a PVE environment. If you enjoy fast paced action and racking up kills in PVP, this might NOT be the group for you. We are a mature and consistent group, that focus on learning, progression and having an inclusive and enthusiastic community. We progress through a qualifications program, where you learn the basic skills in aircraft handling and procedures (IQ), as well as basic weapons and tactics (MQ) and of course, carrier qualifications (CQ). After successfully completing IQ and CQ, you join the Wing on 'Cruise', which is our take on a dynamic campaign. We emphasize dedicated and active pilots who play the long game. We are more interested in people with a good attitude, good humor, who want to learn together with others, as well as put in the required stick time to improve.

Virtual Carrier Air Wing 17 operates the F-14B Tomcat flying with VF-103 the "Jolly Rogers", and the F/A-18C Hornet in VFA-34 the "Blue Blasters". We simulate the composition of the real CVW-17 in the early 2000's. Our carrier and flagship is CVN-73, the George Washington. We fly missions and trainings every Tuesday and Thursday at 20:30 CET.
