Thanks, I will check. The F-18C I am using is the ED f-18c made flyable by RvAFDEATH and it works great except for the laser guided bombs. I will check what VNAO did. I used the SU-27 in Fc1.12 and had it all. I do think that the LGB's had to be targeted in the mission editor, which we can't do in FC2, but I will have a look. I have the AGM65K's working, just not the LGB's.thanks. rattler

Well we might get a Maverick but I think the Harm is out, due to ED with the FC2 updated. I have heard of someone getting the Maverick to work and would love for him to perhaps get in touch so we can look at doing this for the F-18C. The Harm I believe is because in the mission editor we can no longer designate a target which in reality would be like putting a laser ping on the target so the Harm could home in on. I am not up much on the weapons so if someone here in the forum knows how to at least get the Maverick working, I would appreciate the help. the Tv guided munitions are working. I think they are trying to say that this jet does not have a hud or mfd's to worry about so all you have to do is make arguments for your texturing etc. and therefore you have a realistic cockpit. correct?

Good point. At first it started out as a simple mod of the cockpit but then it became a package of a 3D model and retextured cockpit. However your point is well taken. At one point I was putting updates in on the progress but for some reason did not keep the thread near the top and was getting lost unless you chose to extend the time for the threads to like 2 or three weeks. That said, you make a good point and will try to keep future threads going as 1.:thumbup: side note: Also 1 is not mine.lol

This plane is the F-18C in FC2. made as flyable by RvAFDEATH in his mod, f-18a,f18c, harrier and su30. The only thing not working is the Mavericks and Harms, which I think are an ED bug with FC2. Hope this answers your question. rattler

This is a slight set back for modders, as now they have to get 3dsmax8 when all along 7 was the one everyone had to use. Feel your pain Tom, as with others that don't have an 8 version. I have no idea if you could do an .edm or whatever with 7 but now the cost of doing mods is rising. Sounds like Bill Gates mania.:huh:

The aviation experts that contribute to making up the all time best combat aircraft list have other criteria that they use to come up with the list of aircraft. There were a couple of early Soviet aircraft and I believe one was a Mig used in Korea and I can't remember the other, just that there were 2 that made the list but the flanker was not one. Like I said to make the list lots of things are taken into consideration, not just a win or lose situation, they evaluate all the aircrafts performances and pilot input as well. Cheers. Pete

Best aircraft for today is the F-18 super hornet coming in at No.1 for it's generation, which is now. the P-51 Mustang is No.1 for it's day and is still considered a pilots aircraft for those fortunate to fly what is remaining today. It did everything and did it well. The F-22 with all it's technology etc. should be one of the best but has never been flown in combat, hence NO rating on the all 10 list. The F-18 super hornet is todays No.1. The rest is just speculation as they have never been flown as I said in combat situations. You have to be tested in the conditions before the honors are bestowed and that goes for the Typhoon and others of it's class. No combat experience = speculation. That's how it works folks. and that's how the aviation community views it. No fight no rate.:music_whistling:. Before the Harrier crowed jumps in, yes it performed extremely well but in the end it has it's problems which make it I believe either No.2 or 3 in todays world as it has been tested in combat.

One person has had an issue with modman 7.3 with the 2 FA18.lua files. I also found a file missing. Very sorry, it has been updated. It is the ILS-PULT-29AN, it has to be transparent and it was missed. Now fixed. I just reloaded on my computer after fixing file and all is well. That said, if you have any problems please contact me and I will try and sort it out. I expect none, but we all know computers and thanks for download the mod, hope you enjoy it and have a nice vacation. Cheers:thumbup:

Hi guy's: I need some info. Does anyone know who did the FC2 mod.(F-18,Harrier,Su-30). I don't think this has anything to do with the EFA mod but I could be wrong. Forum help would be appreciated. Thanks.:) P.S. Never mind, I have found him. Pete

With the new mission editor in FC2 we lost the ability to use laser guided bombs, this also includes the Maverick and Harm. No air to sea. ED should at least try and fix this before total EOL, but then again I think they have changed their minds again and may support FC2 a little longer. Talk about Games. Gees. I love em but sometimes.:doh:

Good question. I doubt it in FC2 but the new A10, I have no experience with. I also can load the U.S. versions and fire but they just go so far and explode or just keep going and hit ground. No accuracy due to no laser designations.

If you read my thread on the work I am doing on the f-18 with su-33 cockpit you can use TV guided weapons, just not Maverick or Harm. Can't see why you can't use TV guided weapons on a Mig-k.

Might i suggest that you look at MSI and their n460 cyclone 1gb gddr5. It should be had for a good price and performance is outstanding. Lots of people here have this card. I for one. Yes buy all means increase your PSU. Most cards of that type will draw at full capacitiy somewhere around 400watts. Can never go wrong with a decent power supply anyway. Basically what E has mentioned in the previous post. Solid info. Cheers.:)

Well, I appreciate your honesty but you know the restraints we are under with FC2, thank god A10 will be much better for us in making cockpits. I did not see the need to waste too much time with this for that reason but it does take away the SU-33 look and that was my intent. I could put two F-18 panels in but we still have the problem of the needles for the gauges. It can be hidden for the day cockpit but sticks out like a sore thumb for the night cockpit. I do have that one done as well and this was my decision. When you start doing a complete overlayer, you lose the hud so what's the point. If you have some ideas, throw them out and maybe something closer can be done, but remember it has to work for day pit and night. That's the catch. Cheers and appreciate the comment. Pete
