  1. Its not just an F-15 re skinned. There are differences in the FM. The animation of the control surfaces was an exhausting effort of looking at 1000's of photos and as many video's as possible plus discussions with Eurofighter pilots. This is as close as anyone can get to replicate certain features of the Eurofighter. The cockpit at present has limits as all modders know. This has significant representation of the Eurofighter. We are continuing to improve this model and as ED permits we will introduce more detail to this Project. We hope in the mean time that you and everyone enjoy flying the Eurofighter and we appreciate all feedback from the sim. community. Happy flying.
  2. to echo the last post, I have just updated my own system and the one thing that was looked hard at by the people who build my systems was to insure that I had identical sets of ram even to the point from the same company. So this may very well be your issue. cheers hope you get it sorted out.
  3. Do you have to wait 30 years to get a sim on one? Exaggerated time line hee hee. There should be enough info to put together a pretty good sim model of the F-22. All these new a/c have info we will never get. Just look at the SR-71 still classified today but you can make a very nice sim model all the same. Even the ones we have are not 100% accurate, some info is always held back. MHO.
  4. Send Tom an e-mail or PM, ask if he could put F15E in FC2, he is a nice guy and I am sure if he is not tied up, he might look at doing that for you and I am sure others. Cheers. Sorry did not notice the date, hee hee.
  5. He gives a lot more small detail than any other modder. His a/c might not be high poly but the little detail that is put into them IMHO makes up for the poly count. His f15E should be a must have. All his mods work nicely with no effort to install. It's not that he can't make high poly, it is his decision not to go too high. This should not be a reason to put his work aside. Like I said detail, damage models etc. make his work a must have. Community lose for not putting F15E into FC2. Hope you rethink your decision. cheers.
  6. Has/shaggy Shaggy: Just one of my stupid questions. Is there anyway to activate the doors by the player. Like returning to base, taxi upto doors, open so you can enter and maybe also depart. Told you it was stupid because I don't think it is possible but just in the slim chance it can, I bring this up. Cheers. Pete
  7. And dangerous.:music_whistling:
  8. Just because you cut him off by taking a shorter taxiway to the runway does not mean you have to take off. You can do your engine checks etc. while waiting for the takeoff time. You can also adjust your speed to arrive at the waypoint on time. No reason why you can't meet your assigned flight times. Many ways to get there.:)
  9. Interesting. I have seen a problem where i begin to taxi and stop for a sec or 2 and the wingman is on top of me. I have to let him pass. I can go around him though when he stops short. I guess it would depend on what a/c you are flying whether you can get around him. If you are luck you might be able to take another taxiway to the runway. Hope they look at this, as it can be a real pain. Cheers.:)
  10. I'm with you on this one for sure:thumbup: The way to learn is to do. There is all kinds of help here. What could be done is a couple of tutorials on how to animate , etc. for use in FC. Just basics, not tied to any plane etc. but a how to tutorial. I could see something like that . Not providing 3D modders work. This is a long process with a lot of time invested doing research etc. even before you start a model. Look around, there may even be some basic tutorials around.:book: First phase of 3D modeling find accurate information and pictures.:book:
  11. Just don't want it repeated:D. You got to love computers.:megalol:
  12. Hee Hee isn't the world wonderful:D
  13. Hell, Vortex, that should have sent bells off. :D. I could understand it if that was the problem. I don't know why it disappeared in the first place. I did not uninstall it but lost it anyway. the computer is working perfect so I don't think there is an issue with that. I was doing some re-paints and moving files around but I could have had it selected when I deleted some of the old paint files. That still doesn't explain the activation problem cause you can uninstall and reinstall without using an activation. One of those strange computer glitches I guess.
  14. No nothing like that. I was doing textures and repainting and Fc2.0 just disappeared. I reinstalled but did not work. I uninstalled it and reinstalled and this time I could use it under the quick launch. Under modman run, it fired up but only got to where it was asking for the serial no. and then proceeded to take me through the information for getting a new activation key. I tried the already had a key, but brought me back to request an activation no., so I did and it toke another activation. I have 6 left, so no big deal, just that it seems like a strange issue. Thanks for the info and prompt reply. Appreciated. Have a good day.
  15. Thank you for reply. One question. Seeing as this was a strange reason to lose an activation, should I make a note of what happened? Too the best of my knowledge, I can tell the sequence of events but why I needed and activation again is strange. It says you can uninstall and reinstall and no re-activation is necessary but in this case it was to get the sim. working again. I know how the install procedure works, have no problems at all, just this strange issue. Is there a list of issues that could generate a request for a re-activation or is this just one of those strange issues that is unexplainable. Thanks Panzertard if you have any info. If not that's ok I know I can get activations again when I run out. Just wondering what would cause the need for re-activations. that way I can have a heads up in the future. cheers.:)
  16. Here are some textures that you may see in our next release and Crow is working on more animations for the next release also. Keep an eye out.:)
  17. Any info please.
  18. Hi: I had to reinstall Fc2.0 on the same computer with not changes to any hardware etc. I could run from the quick launch program fine. when I tried to launch using Modman, when I enter the game I had to use an activation in order to continue. I thought as long as you never changed anything you could uninstall and reinstall as many times as you wished. Why did I lose an activation? thanks for any info.:(
  19. Some very interesting setups. I find the clutch button good as I am on the throttle anyway during landing and taxi. I use the wheel on the throttle for airbrakes in and out. I use the C key for lock and unlock target. a and b are the a/a and a/g plus shift for radar, chaff and tws. trigger is cannon only. I have everything in mode 1. I fly the Eurofighter, go figure.(f-15) . Comms are all on VAC. It looks like everyone has their own preference but I am always open to ideas, that's why I asked. The main reason is I am now learning the A-10 so, some of the ways people use the program buttons is being very useful for setting up for A-10. Thanks to all and hope some more post their settings. Hope everyone is having a great Summer. cheers and thanks.
  20. Hi : I was just wondering how most of you enable wheelbrakes. I have been using the clutch button and find it a good choice. Just curious what others are using.
  21. Max, You are getting elegant in your post,LOL, Yes I absolutely agree with you. We can wish all we like but we have to look at what is realistic. ED as long as they are working on modules, we will never see tools that would allow 3 party modding to rival their work. Yes we have modders that could do just that given the tools. ED knows this, they are not stupid. If they did give the tools, it would be a sure bet you would not be seeing these same things coming to market from ED. There is always a way to get accurate information on a particular a/c. ED does not have an exclusive on this information. It is out there to be found and it can be found. I don't think in my own opinion that I would like to see earlier a/c modded. I think we should look at advancing Combat Simulation, not looking behind to far at yesterday. Max, your a not behind,LOL. VNAO is awesome. I mean going back to like F-86 etc. Nice yes. What flies today is what is interesting, at least to me. I am sure I just generated another topic of discussion.LOL.;)
  22. Just a question. What tools would you expect to get because they have released the A10C? More modules to come both fixed and helo. Just a question.:)
  23. Thank you. We are trying our best to reproduce the Eurofighter. We have an extensive update coming soon. This will still be Beta with further improvements still to come. Our intent is to provide an accurate Typhoon in every since. Crow is working on a 3D pit as well, in hopes that ED will allow such for Fc2.0. In the mean time we are striving to give a good representation of the cockpit under the present Fc2.0 software. We hope you enjoy the Eurofighter. Lots more to come. Pete:)
  24. Well as much as a lot of people would like to see more different a/c, not just U.S. , ED is a Russian based company so it would be logical to have a larger representation from that Country. Easy of getting proper info on a/c etc. Would be nice to see a better variety all the same. I can also see not modeling an a/c due to lack of proper info which may well be the case with other than Russian a/c. Maybe this is why some HUD information is not shown correctly. They get the benefit of the doubt, from me anyway.:) Pete
  25. DCS is at the moment and I am sure will. The only problem I have with the series is how long it takes to get a module done. At the rate it is being done some of us will be to old to enjoy the benefits. That said, it does take time to delivery such quality and detail of the cockpit alone. Some one mentioned a few days ago, why not do 3D pits for FC2.0 but none clickable and make it so 3rd persons could model cockpits in 3D for newer modded a/c or existing ones. Reason being said that Fc2.0 is at the end of its life cycle. This is a missed opportunity for ED IMHO. Instead of think that it is the end, think of it as a portion of the DCS-BS series. One that has a great following and could create even more. 2 viable products instead of one. Surely it would not take that much time away from the DCS-BS series to do just that. Remember to look at Fc2.0 not as the end but a continued portion of a great Combat flight sim. series. one supporting the other.:(
