Hello, about serval month ago, there was a server list freeze problem that happens when server search server reach a certain number, the control would freeze and everything became unclickable. it happens again now, I tried to restart the game or wait until the server to respond but were unhelpful can anyone give me a solution

I found just now that the server list in beta version would completely freeze after searching for server for a certain time, making every button in the server list and around unclickable, but the game would be still running, I could only quit the game by the task manager, is there any solution to it?

I see , thanks

I don’t know if this is just my personal experience or not, it been some weeks since the release of this module and yet I still haven’t seen any f15e flying in the sever, supposedly it should be all over the sever, I’m using the steam version without beta version, can someone give me a answer

Recently I’ve practiced quite a lot on f14a and b’s carrier landing, I basically overcame numerous difficulties such as trimming the aircraft; trying to catch the E brackets for extended period with mature use of dlc to control the sink rate and E bracket and so on. Despite considerable improvements, I found that the most deadly phase(personally)in carrier landing is not the final glide down to the deck, but the banking turn before the glide down. Because at this phase, f14B (fuel 7500 clean load out)would need 90% rpm at around 140 knots to ensure not stalling, which is a very low speed, if you stay below 90% rpm or slightly below such as 87% rpm while staying at 140, you will highly quickly find the aircraft is still slowing down rapidly and is stalling fast instead of remaining at around 140 and being stable at banking.( many people have speed around 150 or beyond when banking, without catching the E bracket, that’s just not the correct way to do carrier landing, the correct way would be the one done by reflected simulations) At this moment, you either throttle up immediately to full military power or even afterburner to gain speed , or crash the airplane, which I experienced both multiple times. Furthermore, you still need to catch the E bracket, and when you begin your banking below the mentioned power and speed(90% 140) you will immediately find the E bracket plummet down to a very low position and you literally are stalling To solve this problem, I would recommend advance the throttle immediately to 90%( f14a would need around 85%) while maintaining at around 140 knots accompanied with dlc adjustment to making sure the banking is stable, while catch the E bracket. I’ve strong respect to those real tomcat pilots, if this is exactly what they experienced in real life, then they are absolutely elite of elite, because they are risking their life to tame such a hard aircraft many times a month, which would make landing hornet apparently easier. Disclaimer: this article only represents personal opinion of the handling characteristics of Tomcat, it does not represent the opinions of other people.

Hello, recently I’ve been try to pick up both f14 variant’s case 1, I found the E bracket on the tomcat really hard to catch, I did trim the aircraft with careful throttle input. In most cases the e bracket is too high to catch due to high speed, and by the time when E bracket is reachable, the aircraft would have nearly stalled, let alone for the banking before the final approach. There is another problem at this state, the f14A’s engine would be highly susceptible to compressor stall and would stall every time when the e bracket is catchable making landing very, very difficult. I would say it would be easier if I don’t try to catch the e bracket to land the aircraft. Is there a solution to this problem?

Just found out recently that f14's control senstivity would differ according to the different air speed, the faster the plane flies, the more senstitive the control would be and vice versa, which clearly reflect the high fedility of the FM, and i also found out f14 is much less sensitive and easier to refuel at low speed like 180knots or below with tanker like kc130, but however, if refeuling with a tanker like kc135 at 280 knots( or 0.7 mach), then the jet is literally unrefuelable because of the horribly sensitive control (personally) cause by the faster air flow which generate more steer force, which make accurate control almost imopssible(i'm using a virpil hotas with no curves), i realized this by repeatedly trying to refuel in kc135 and always fail, so far i i've never made any contact with kc135, but with kc130 at low speed, it suddenly turns possible, so air speed is denfinitely a factor in air to air refueling. the slower the tanker is, the more refuelable the f14 is.

Hello, i'm a big fan of heatblur's f14 moduel, recently i've tried to do aerial refueling with my virpil hotas, but i always can't put the probe into the basket, mainly because the f14 is too sensitive over contorl, it either pitch way too sensitively or bank too much, even if i sweep the wings to bomb mode or give it a curvature of 25 on both x and y axises, and make the most minor control over the stick, it still fly too sensitively, so i think there might be something wrong with the flight model, after watching some real refueling footage, i think their is some huge difference between the flight model and real life. in the footage(see 4:46), it's seens tomcat is apperantly more controllable at all aspects at aerial refueling in real life, whereas in dcs tomcat literally would fly over if done the same, i've tried multipule times and i can confidently say that, so maybe there is some inaccuracy in the flight model. Maybe it needs some more tuning on the flight model.

i just restart my sas and autopilot is still not working
-
I found out recently that the autopilot system is not working, like when i switch on all the necessary nobs in the front cockpit at the autopilot panel, the a/p reference isn't lighted on as past, and there is also nothing happening when i press the nws button, what is going on? could someone give me an idea
-
i just got my hands on the f18, i found out that f18's nws hi sometimes would not steer when i steer to a certain direction like left, even at very slow speed, at exterior the wheels seens to steer but failed to move to the direction, could anyone tells me why this was happening? and how should i prevent it?

Thank you for your help, I think my problems had been solved

could someone give some comments? and yes , i can replicate those bugs

i been plaing tomcat for a long while, i had met two small glitches that may need a fix( fingers cross, that maybe personal) 1 during cold start of the tomcat,i slew forward the emergency wing sweep handle to the utmost front and press it down(and cover it up), normally it should engage the control on the throttle, but it stucked at the emergency mode which makes me unable to control the wing sweep with my throttle, i had tried it numerous times and i can confirm it's a glitch 2 when i engage the vsl low button, there is no square symbology moving horizontally on the hud, whereas the vsl hi have it

i think that virpil link had just sloved my pickle, much thanks!!

that's because i plugged and unplugged the device multiple times, it could helps me to get out of the stuck page, but when i replugged back it stucked again
-
i deleted the config files, it was recreated as the game started, but my whole hotas and login setting was also whiped, thankfully the option page return to normal for a little while, and then it stucked again after a while when i tried to set my hotas seeting, so i persume it is related to my virpil hotas software, so i update my whole virpil control software again, it still stucked, i also tried to pull out my hotas, it could get it out of the stuck page but it would stuck again when i replug it, so their is certainly something wrong with the config files, maybe it's because the system can't read the config files, but the in game control still works fine, i'm also trying to reintall the game, maybe that also would not work, i really don't know why

I just installed the dcs after a while not playing, when i open the option page from the main menu, i found the dcs firmly stucked after i scroll down some moduel's control page like f14,f18, and i restart the whole game serval times and still unable to solve this issue, so i can sure this is something like a bug, how can I solve this issue? by the way, i wait for a long time and the page still stucked

I had crashed two digits times right now, it makes felt that there is something worng with the flight model, as there are abundant video resources indicate that hind in reality is could be highly stable during takeoff and landing unlike in game which is basically uncontrollble, i think that there is something wrong with the flight model and wish ed to correct it sooner(same goes uh1 huey and mi8)

Hello, I was thinking if some day in the future heatblur could cooperate with Northrop Grumman with their advance simulation computer, to bring up the conceptual tomcat into Dcs with the timeframe at around 2005, so that we could have a f14e played, that would be so nice(could just some random fantasy, don’t be serious)
