Hello, I was thinking if some day in the future heatblur could cooperate with Northrop Grumman with their advance simulation computer, to bring up the conceptual tomcat into Dcs with the timeframe at around 2005, so that we could have a f14e played, that would be so nice(could just some random fantasy, don’t be serious)

go watch Top gun openning sence, here is a link for you

How to switch it up?

In reality, pilots' heads wouldn't roll with the aircraft when perform rolling, instead it would subconiously "counter roll" to stabilize with the ground. With VR this could be simualted pretty well(by ourself). However, this is not the case for Tackir, is there an option (or will have) to enable it to "counter roll" to provide higher simualtion for pilots' head movement? In this video, the pilots head counter roll to stabilize with the ground

need track replay More likely to crash than other module
Ddg1500 posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
After sometimes of playing, I’m positive that hind is more likely to crash than any other modules in this game, especially during startup, and I’m sure this Is the not problem of my own device or internet -
If there is small hope that Northrop grumman would kind to provide help, that would be remarkbly good( razbam got help from Boeing on f15e and truegrit show a photo of their extensive stocker including german airforce) i saw an interview yesterday about a verteran tomcat pilot (name Mike Rabens) who later is an exectuive in northrop grumman (and he is also the founder of "f14 association") message-editor_1608500530966-rabens2.webp the link https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/38303/tomcat-tales-with-the-f-14-associations-president-on-the-iconic-jets-50th-anniversary in the interview he said if there is a chance, he could be able to get in touch of tomcat ahead than any one else, maybe he could provide some adequate resoureces to further refine the moduel ( like advance digitial simualtion in a super computer or more flight data or more SME) his youtube video the f14 association: https://www.f-14association.com

Recently, i dived deep into comparing the f14 with real footage, and had done some "nastily picky" exmaine over the flight model (like flap behaviour at different aoa or the behaviour for the lift body) with my own knowledge, and i must say it did mostly well, i can't really find any significant unrealness just for the flight model itself. But i found some small problems, which would certainly make f14 more realistic if corrected (Disclaimer: some maybe incorrect). 1 the ground movement at some weight doesn't feel realisitic enough, like at clear load with 4000lb of fuel, the aircraft still moves like it had around 19800lb, which means there are lacked behaviours at some weight. (many youtube aerobatic and carrier footage shows tomcat could be really steerble & agile at light weight) 2 there seems not difference in terms of gear extention at ground with regard to weight (many youtube footage and photos show tomcat would have variable gear extenision at different weight). 3 the gear hydralics supposed to look sliver shinny, but in game it's unrendered. 4 the in game sound of tf30 feels like it was extract from an Iran f14's startup video (maybe is a ge95 or too old rusty), but some youtube aerobatic and takeoff footage shows it does not sound like it, more like f110 but less sharp in tone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWUVHgDKc-8 5 the fire from afterburner could become brighter & stronger when launched from catapult by incurison of more air 6 sometimes there is no sound in front(3rd person) when engaging afterburner 7 the refuel probe moves slower in reality than in game 8 f14b in cockpit sounds actually different https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SwgU42XSpw&list=WL&index=2 9 it seems if f14 is light enough it could push up the head when takeoff (maybe is front gear over charge) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SwgU42XSpw&list=WL&index=2 10 a stock footage shows if f14 is light enough, the rear gear could push up the aircraft and then nose down at carrier

I saw heatblur just put a burdle effect on f14, I wonder whether hornet also have this in the game, and there is real footage proofing it had in reality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEKDSTgDR2M

Thought i'm not a real hind pliots, but from some real youtube footage, i could say the hind is more "weighty, heavy" in the actually flight, and it certainly rotate less agile unlike in the game, there is abundant real footage in youtube

I did feels that there is indeed tweak on the ground handling, and i must say it surely realize the tomcat's handling on it's weight, however, this is only true under clear loadout, without any missile except tanks and pod, when there is missile on board, it went back to the old feels of "weighless", maybe the state data above haven't been well tweaked yet, supposedly, when armed with heavier load(like 6 phenoix or patrol loadout), the engine is going to take apparently more thrust to "push" it, and when braked under certain speed the nose strust is going to retract more by the interia, samely, the steering handling as well as raidus should be less maueverable. personal opinion, reference only

How do you all think the MIG-15 Performs?
Ddg1500 replied to Harley Davidson's topic in DCS: MiG-15bis
the gun is absloutly a killer, for the tragectory is straighter, unlike the small pop gun on f86 -
I would like to indicate serval part of f14 for improvement throught this two footage 1 at 0:32 of the first video, the frontal view of the tomcat shows that the head should be a lot slimmer than in dcs which expose more room for divide inlet, means the 3d model needs a little trim, and seems the external coating is more coarse with less reflection. 2 at 7:49 of the second video, the f14's steering feels more "weighty" than dcs 3 at 12:33 second video, the touchdown shows less gear retract, meaning at clear loadout(possibily with little fuel), the gear should only retract a little instead of fully retract 4 the sweep wing didn't wiggle like jelly in the video

Is there any reason to fire the PH in PD-STT?
Ddg1500 replied to WelshZeCorgi's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
PD STT and STT are different modes, me personally would use PD STT more for just IFF only, STT for locking targets ranged below 20 miles, and TWS AUTO for bvr, PD STT could said is only design for iff only based off my experience as rio, and it's biggest advantage is it could ensure the enemy's rwr to not recognize as STT aka spike, as if you STT that target , the target's rwr could find the source the lock and do a evade, PD STT could make sure that is not going to happen as it doesn't present an fixed lock on than target, it's an more narrow search wave than an fixed line, which is shown in Tid, by way if your can't see anything on the DDD, that means the radar haven't see any target, then you certainly can't radar lock anything -
hello, i would like to ask serval qustion about the f14's flight model from heatblur, here as flollows 1 How exactly acccurate is the flight model with respect to reality? 2 Is pitch up effect of the front pheonix plyon simulated?(picture) 3 Is the fligh model after deploy of DLC realisticly simulated? As it make nose feels weighless when deployed or full extented. 4 Is the sweep wing really would wiggle that much like jelly when conducting carrier landing? (video at 4:18)

Is there any reason to fire the PH in PD-STT?
Ddg1500 replied to WelshZeCorgi's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
true experience: you could , but it would lost lock more easily than STT, so better switch back to the almighty and easily TWS AUTO -
good day, i was thinking if ED could make an app on Anriod or ios device to link up the MFD or control panel on the flying aircraft ,so we could press it on cell phone instead of doing in the game, or show certain gagues like VDI, this could greatly reduce the inconvinenice of virtual simulation. for sometimes I can't hold stable when truning certain switches in the cockpit( like the radio panel in tomcat) or the CAP in Rio,if those could be done thorgh the cell phone, that could be very wonderful.

Greetings, after a nice meal and a good shower, I lied on my bed for another fantasy, i was dreaming if one day in the distant but foreseenable future, Northrop grumman could be generous enough to cooperate with Heatblur, with their advance compter, to bring a full fedility Asf14 into dcs as an moudel, with all those glass cockpit and IRST, and a stronger radar than f22, further range, super cruise, newer long range missle like aim54d, harpoon, maverick etc, oh i can't dream that much, that's too wonderful, could heatblur just go to northrop grumman to sign some future contract or something......., i know it could be dreamming but someday the heatblur may call Grumman Heatblur or something.
