  1. Overnight crash, but it couldn't get the popup window to display or the crash log to generate despite showing up in the log file. 2025-04-23 18:31:44.686 INFO EDCORE (Main): try to write dump information 2025-04-23 18:31:44.715 INFO EDCORE (Main): # -------------- 20250423-183200 -------------- 2025-04-23 18:31:44.717 INFO EDCORE (Main): DCS/2.9.15.9509 (x86_64; MT; Windows NT 10.0.22631) 2025-04-23 18:31:44.719 INFO EDCORE (Main): D:\DCS World Server\bin\edCore.dll 2025-04-23 18:31:44.720 INFO EDCORE (Main): # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 00007fff69c4b52a 00:00000000 2025-04-23 18:31:44.722 INFO EDCORE (Main): SymInit: Symbol-SearchPath: 'D:\DCS World Server\bin;', symOptions: 532, UserName: 'username' 2025-04-23 18:31:44.724 INFO EDCORE (Main): OS-Version: 10.0.22631 () 0x100-0x1 2025-04-23 18:31:44.726 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x000000000001b52a (edCore): LinkBase::Set + 0x1A 2025-04-23 18:31:44.728 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000000dc0b5 (Transport): woCar::checkMissileThreat + 0x85 2025-04-23 18:31:44.730 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000000be4d5 (Transport): wcColumn::GetLastWaypointId + 0x1B5 2025-04-23 18:31:44.730 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x000000000000461b (World): wSimTrace::CommandsTraceDiscreteIsOn + 0x3EB 2025-04-23 18:31:44.730 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x0000000000004c42 (World): wSimCalendar::DoActionsUntil + 0x262 2025-04-23 18:31:44.730 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x0000000000a4e32a (DCS_server): SW + 0x4368AA 2025-04-23 18:31:44.730 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x0000000000a4e001 (DCS_server): SW + 0x436581 2025-04-23 18:31:44.730 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x0000000000a74a52 (DCS_server): SW + 0x45CFD2 2025-04-23 18:31:44.731 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x0000000000a285d4 (DCS_server): SW + 0x410B54 2025-04-23 18:31:44.731 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x0000000000a29c93 (DCS_server): SW + 0x412213 2025-04-23 18:31:44.731 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x000000000256327b (DCS_server): AmdPowerXpressRequestHighPerformance + 0x107A277 2025-04-23 18:31:44.731 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000010ad47e (DCS_server): SW + 0xA959FE 2025-04-23 18:31:44.731 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x000000000001257d (KERNEL32): BaseThreadInitThunk + 0x1D 2025-04-23 18:31:44.930 INFO EDCORE (Main): Minidump created. dcs.log
  2. Possibly not limited to Cherkessk. You should be able to find 1/ Trees with missing or inverted LOD. See far away image with pink box hand drawn in. Trees are present. See next image with camera closer. Trees in some areas disappear. 2/ Many buildings are missing and structures are missing tops. Very poor wall textures. Some have inside wall textures, some do not. 3/ Some parts of some trees still visible but look like maybe a basket on the ground. null4/ Area in question. Not a full accounting of troubled assets.nullnull
  3. Here is the latest. It is an odd double crash. First one here did NOT bring the server down. I ignored the popup about the crash because the server still appeared to be running normally. 4. We have been seeing frequent server crashes when running this miz with none of the crashes pointing directly to user lua, rather usually edcore.dll and less frequently other ED DCS dll files. It happens irregularly: might be 45 minutes, might be 2 hours, 5 hours,... We have the server set to restart every 6 hours. In order to help diagnose, I have started hosting nightly a separate server that no player joins except myself. Please find attached the logs and crash zip from the first night. A patch was released just after I started for the night. I will patch and continue to run, posting subsequent crash logs. 5. I may have seen a similar behavior of an F-4 launched Shrike targeting an SA-2 or perhaps it was SA-3 which died or switched off. The Shrike ended up turning to follow a jamming Su-25T or an AI Mi-8. E: this was from several patches ago so I the I dont thing the track file will work. This screenshot shows 4ea shrike fired where I believed an active SA-2 Fan Song TR was placed at Rene (it was already dead), and the shrikes turn to follow the player controlled Su-25T in the lower left of the image (possibly jamming). So anyone wanting to try to reproduce this issue, this data may help. null
  6. Tacview-20250114-083808-DCS-Client-Goontense_kola_1.3.7c.zip.acmi Tacview-20250114-083808-DCS-Client-Goontense_kola_1.3.7c.zip.acmi First engagement from 29 minutes, successful employment of SD-10 and PL-5E w/ radar assisted lock. Disengage, switch to A2G mode to try to GMT advancing armor. Second engagement from 33 minutes, remaining PL-5E would not track the Su-34. Cage/uncage made no change. Manually placing the seeker over the Su-34 engines made no change. Missile tone was consistent, only the low background growl when no target is detected. I try shooting the missile without lock, it flies unguided past the target. Tacview-20250114-132714-DCS-Client.zip.acmi I ran the trk file replay but the issue did not repeat. The second PL-5E immediately followed the radar guidance, began screaming the high pitch tone. Since it is a replay, when the missile launches (originally without tone, flying off past the target) it guides into the Su-34 taking it out. Track file exceeds 50 MB limit. Two screenshots which match in-game experience. One of the actual flight where the missile wouldn't get tone and went wide. Second of the same moment, but from the replay where the missile did get tone throughout the closure starting at 4.7nm. Tacview-20250114-132714-DCS-Client.zip.acmi
  7. The AI helicopter holding pattern is over the end of the runway planes are taking off into, creating a chance for collision. Pictured is no wind, 32L take off. This also happens with wind causing 14L take off. Due to fixed wing take off operations, rotary wing landing often gets delayed, causing them to cluster in an orbit. There are the rotary short runways, but it may be too difficult to implement. Not sure if there is another solution.
  8. I was seeing odd behavior in my mission regarding taxi and takeoff at Borg El Arab International Airport (which also had landing traffic), so I made a clean mission and tried sending up F-4s from all plane parking spots. It seems the default with no wind is to take off on 32L, ignoring the other runway all together. I then put in some wind from 140 / to 320 to encourage the planes to take off in the other direction. It took 72 minutes to launch 29 of 44 aircraft, and 15 aircraft were unable to take off due to a traffic jam induced by a landing aircraft turning off the runway onto a taxiway with oncoming traffic. I don't know the correct procedure, so I yield that to the experts. Parking 01 through 06 cut across runway 14L in order to get an extra ~175 meters of runway, despite using well under half the runway to take off. Fortunately these aircraft are all able to make it to the middle taxiway before the first aircraft locks down the 14L, allowing them to take off in quick succession. Perhaps they surrender the ~175 meters and take off directly by turning left onto 14L? Parking 07 through 16 back cut across 14L before turning right to taxi down 32L.Perhaps they could taxi around to the parking area for 03 through 06, and follow the above suggestion? Parking 17 through 20 did a back taxi down 14L. I don't know if they could take the first angled left to speed things up. Or if they could taxi around to 03 through 06 area and follow the above suggestion? Parking 21 made it out before the other aircraft in the area. Parking 33 is pictured stopped, waiting for clearance to continue taxi on the way to take off. Parking 33 through 44 unable to take off due to the traffic jam. Without wind, taking off on 32L, all 44 planes were able to get airborn in a little under 90 minutes. Most of the added time was planes on the southwest side of the airfield back taxiing one-by-one down 32L. Planes on the northeast did not utilize 32R. It would be nice if this could improve, though I understand if there are limiations. So with the wind, traffic is taking off and landing on 14L. There needs to be some logic to prevent landing aircraft from turning off onto occupied taxiways, or logic to have them fast taxi to the end of the runway before entering a taxiway to parking.
  9. It looks like how ED chose to add the GBU-8 caused it to become unusable by players. This is really odd how ED went about this, as the F-4 is the only plane that can use them. I'm a fan of the HOBOS and am disappointed that I can't use them anymore. Why not coordinate the release with Heat Blur? Why not add it as an additional item in the stores list, and then merge them later on in a way that doesn't impact the players? Please see attached tracks. Air starts with hobos inboard, outboard, showing they never become armed; track file with walleye showing how the walleye starts warmed up and becomes active. gbu8hobos-airstart-innerpylons.trk gbu8hobos-airstart-outerpylons.trk walleye-airstart-outerpylons.trk
  10. Do you mean regardless of player coalition or when the player coalition is Blue? Maybe related, I noticed that blue players can spawn at neutral dynamic spawn airfields, while red players can only spawn at red dynamic spawn airfields.
  11. It is the exact same track file in my other thread, so I was trying to highlight that to save whomever a second 200MB download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U9ao-KQbuWny3pgFHSHsMcy7zRAXziOK/view?usp=drive_link Thank you.
  12. I see there might be a related ticket with the BR250. Tacview shows some entity spawn from my plane at 4.8g. If the pylon has a "5g" limit for the SMAP-400kg, I don't see why it shouldn't be higher for the durandals which clock in at about half the weight. Tacview shows "the entity" spawn in at 4.6g on Springfield 1-3 (yes, tacview is imperfect), but Springfield 1-4 doesn't seem to pull excessively (~2.6g and no event spawning "the entity"). Springfield 1-2 is the only one that made it to the target with the centerline still attached.
  13. In the same track file as posted here, after dropping durandals and egressing north, upon entering the mountain valley you can hear what appears to be the missile launch parameters met solid tone (forgive me if I am wrong on this). I cycle into and out of dogfight mode to try to clear this, but no luck. This was not terribly uncommon for me, and in previous instances I was able to clear it by cycling into and out of dogfight mode.
  14. While playing with Airgoons in "The Long Afternoon War" multiplayer campaign we have experienced a few apparent bugs. 1/ This week's mission had us unable to jettison our wing fuel tanks. We tried both the normal select jettison and the emergency jettison. No luck. Loadout was 6x durandal, 2x wing tanks, 30ea flares (the forbidden CM loadout). 2/ Three out of four of us had the centerline pylon (the whole thing with 4ea durandals on it) disappear. Tacview shows only 2 bombs drop from these planes, the DCS track file shows the pylon disappear too. There might be a correlation between attempting to jettison the wing tanks via select jettision (inboard only) and the centerline pylon disappearing. As you can see in these screenshots the centerline rack is gone. As we all know, this centerline rack cannot be jettisioned. null(please ignore the Springfield 1-1 vs 1-2 issue in the aircraft name, DCS ordered the slots/boardnumbers 2,3,4,1 fornull whatever reason) Track file (195MB): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U9ao-KQbuWny3pgFHSHsMcy7zRAXziOK/view?usp=drive_link
  15. I know my group would have significant buy-in for a future Flaming Cliffs that took existing assets (updated exterior models, a little love to the flight model) and slapped on a cockpit model. We'd get milage out of... A-20 F-16A F-18A F-117 B-1 Mig-25 ...
  16. 17 NOV 2023 - DCS 2.9.1.48111 Open Beta - Instant Action - Mirage F1EE - Sinai refueling Clicking would not open the cover or move the switch. Binding the cover to game controller buttons did not restore cover function. Binding the switch allowed it to switch (per photos). Did not test if switch actually allowed AAR.
  17. If your HOTAS works, then your stick works.
  18. Just a public service announcement, as the news release could be parsed in different ways. I'm certain you can all read, do math, and come to your own conclusions. The Channel, sans Mosquito Pre-Order 30% Discount. The Channel, with Mosquito Pre-Order 30% Discount.
  19. I was there for this mission. Very beautiful and precise flying by Elmo. Here is a wider view. undefined - Imgur.mp4
  20. I had this same problem. It could be ED trying to "protect" players in multiplayer. Either for disturbing images (which could be in the briefing regardless) or for malicious full screen obstruction during PvP. The former can't be helped, and the latter would damage the reputation of a server/host. It could be that ED simply forgot to transmit the image to the clients. It would be nice if they added an alpha option, along with positioning (either x/y displacement, or center/upper-left/top-center/etc.).
  21. Ah, the ones that I don't use because I primarily play multiplayer.
  22. I'm not sure what you mean. I opened the comms menu. Is this some silly secret, indiscernible yet different comms menu?
  23. After getting clearance to land, it told me to talk to the ship via the normal comms menu. The ship never responded on the preset, nor didn't respond to the frequency listed in the kneeboard. Also I couldn't hide the stick. I guess I can deal with that if those are the rules, but it was a small disappointment.
  24. I recently ran into an issue with trains not appearing on Caucasus. It usually happened on the first loading of the mission, but after quitting the mission and restarting they usually appeared. The mission had manually placed redfor trains, they only appeared when civilian traffic was enabled, and sometimes require mission restart to actually load.
  25. There seemed to be a bug where the AI instantaneously knew of a TWS Phoenix launch and began evading; is that part of the patch?
