All Greek to me I'm afraid. Any way of doing the triple screen thing without using SoftTH? Will the new graphics engine help with triple screens when it arrives?
-
Is there a simple way to do a basic triple screen set up? I've got 3 1920 x 1080 which I run bezel corrected at 5880 x 1080 Side screens are at about 45 degrees to the centre one. I use this res for Elite D and pCARS and a few other titles without issue but DCS don't seem very straightforward at all. I don't want or need any MFD's or other bits exported to another monitor or anything like that just a simple surround setup that isn't stretched. Or possibly have the center monitor in portrait mode and the side ones in landscape would help with dogfighting?

The "why" was why would you put the P-51 in the the current A-10 enviroment. Which is why I then asked, "Is the P-51 going to be released with a WWII type of map/environment?" The op says other aircraft will follow but does this mean that there will be no other WWII aircraft to fly against until then. Which is why I then asked "Will we be able to go up against other WWII aircraft even if they are AI only to begin with?"

I don't know if the bitch part was aimed at me or not but I just asked a question, I didn't bitch. How does one find the "important" posts?
-
"Obviously I not just read 50+ pages of posts...." So did you not even read the post you are replying to?:doh::doh::doh:

Not been on here for a while but after seeing the news about the P-51 I'd thought I best take a look. Obviously I not just read 50+ pages of posts but I'm sure this must have been asked already... why? Is the P-51 going to be released with a WWII type of map/environment? Will we be able to go up against other WWII aircraft even if they are AI only to begin with?

A picture Tale: "Dual Thrust" or "What I did in my Easter Holiday"
Fopeyducker replied to PeterP's topic in Home Cockpits
I was wondering that myself. Well done though... -
Great patch. Silky smooth, graphically perfect, no flickering 10/10 Damn just flew around for about and hour and didn't even notice if the self shadowing cockpit has been added yet or not.

Just a heads up to those that already have or are thinking of getting one of Intels new Sandy Bridge chipsets. There is a design flaw and Intel are doing a massive recall. Which will cost them an estimated $1,000,000,000 More details can be found at http://www.guru3d.com/news/sandy-bridge-chipset-design-flaw-recalls/ If you are one of those affected make sure you have registered your product!

If it was a printed manual like the one that came with Falcon4 I would have read it all the way through about 4 or 5 times by now. Digital version "I read what I had to.. the rest is a reference only if I get lost" :(

Game has been pretty much ruined since the helo counter measures remove tracer darts. Even an average helo pilot can now own a server. If his gunner is an engineer they can go the whole map with 0-2 deaths :/ So I'll wait to see what Vietnam brings balance wise before spending any money

Do you think it will be released 2010? Yes or no.
Fopeyducker replied to Sticky's topic in Chit-Chat
More chance of winning the lottery but that's ok. Better a finished project than something that is rushed out the door. Just hoping for beta 4 and some optimisation before I go away for xmas, (cough 17th). ;) -
New PNY GTX 580 Graphics card
Fopeyducker replied to badaboom's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Just read the review of the GTX570 on guru3d, looks like it's a very nice card. On par with the GTX480 but without the noise & heat issues. Still loving my GTX580 mind :) -
Warthog from Amazon UK
Fopeyducker replied to sneakypete's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Just a thought, have you looked on the warthog database that is here to see if the previous owner was one of us. Would be funny if it was, especially if Amazon trys to deny it's preowned, you could then email them back giving them the name and address of previous owner :) -

I'd have sent them an email already if it was me. It wouldn't have been a very polite email either! Like you said you paid for a NEW unit, it obviously isn't. As for the return cost I'd expect those back as well. -

Just flew a mission in Rise of Flight, (attacking a convoy), instead of using a track. Again everthing maxed out/turned on @ 1900x1200 67 95 140 that's a bit more like it :) Forgot to check CPU but GPU hit 84% -

Downloaded afterburner to monitor GPU usage and it's maxing out during my A10 test mission which it is what it was designed to do, (the mission not the card). Not got an accurate monitor for the CPU, so just using the task manager. It looked like it got up to about 85% at it's peak. Like I said happy with the results just found the IL2/LOFC/RoF figures a bit weird. -

Yes & yes Ticked the clean install during installation so profiles were all at default for tests. The card is working properly as can be seen by the 130% increase in the min fps on BFBC2. Others are 30% or more including A10. Just the flight sims which are strange but also the only tests I used tracks on. CPU @4.1 I can guarantee you wouldn't get 60fps in the mission I run lol. It's designed to bring the card, (any card), to it's knees.
