  1. Unless you are doing radio out refueling then the tanker just tells the receiver their speed IRL. They also tell the receiver that they are going to enter a turn rather than just abruptly banking.
  2. There was (may still be) a bug where I’d you messed with the radios before a certain point in the startup then manual frequency changes wouldn’t take.
  3. I’d just be happy with putting MPRS pods on a 135. While working the Iron Maiden would be fun, I’d just like to have some big gas in the air until they can get the BDA working.
  4. Generally military aircraft use the UHF channels, older military aircraft may not even have a VHF radio. Civilian aircraft don’t have UHF radios. Modern software defined radios have the ability to do either band but fighters still tend to use UHF. In the heavies I work on we tend to hang out on VHF since we fly with the airliners hear more of what they are saying about the weather. Our command and control is almost all UHF.
  5. I am running a 4k monitor for my primary and everything looks fine on the main viewport, it's the MFD exports that look like garbage in the F-18. The lines are simply too think so everything smashes together and is unreadable. This same setup works great in every other airframe.
  6. I was wondering the same thing. I fired up NNTR and Henderson had a GPS and a VOR approach but there’s not much in the Caucuses. But that’s kind of okay because there’s no CDI either. :/
  7. For me the zone to move the panel is actually a bit above the top of the box. I get the double vertical arrow cursor and then can move it.
  8. I too was looking for this. Even the ability to map its location via the standard monitor lua's would be nice.
  9. I have a related follow-on question: Is it possible to define the device's location in a monitor lua so that it's in a specific location rather than the bottom right of the screen?
  10. Negative
  11. For the A-10C iControl is what you seek. http://bit-shift.com/ For other airframes I'd look at Roccat Power Grid. http://www.roccat.org/us-en/Products/Gaming-Software/Power-Grid/Home/
  12. I officially need to hang my head in shame. The reference site I was using had an incorrect frequency listed as XXX.40 rather than XXX.90 so I was having a heck of a time selecting it obviously. Add to that ever ILS I've ever done IRL was on a NAV/COM that coveres VORs and ILS I didn't even think about the frequency options. Please disregard this issue on my part.
  13. Half of the ILS KHz settings are unusable. When adjusting the knob via mouse, keyboard commands, or iControl app the control skips the same settings every time. This has also been tested on multiple computers with the same result. Obviously the impact is that ILS approaches are unable to be shot at half the airfields. Functioning freq: 10, 15, 30, 35, 50, 55, 70, 75, 90, and 95 Unusable freq: 00, 05, 20, 25, 40, 45, 60, 65, 80, and 85
