  1. I understand, my jet has one head control two RTs as well, but wouldn't the second ARC-210 remove the FM ARC-186 or did the jet get a fourth radio at that point?
  2. In the release trailer the ARC-210 is in the forward position and there's still an ARC-186 in the aft.
  3. I'm not sure that it's not burning out prematurely at the moment. I'll have to keep better track of it in the coming sessions.
  4. I had a buddy have an issue with this last night and it recurred today to me. After being able to change the code of weapons several times they stopped being able to change the code on several weapons. After I stopped being able to change codes on the pylons I was working on I went back to make the first ones I had changed match and I couldn't change those anymore either. Track linked due to size limit. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-ql-7Ce6XYY2Y0mD8ZmjoIg_AMJ-kk4n/view?usp=sharing
  5. While GBU isn't described in 4120.15, it's used to describe multiple guided unpowered weapons.
  6. I copied the joystick luas from the A-10C to the A-10C_2 directory in the user area. It's a very fast way to do it.
  7. While we are at it can we talk about the light trucks that put searchlights onto the runway? Outside of the space shuttle landing sites this isn't something you ever see in the west. Is this really a thing in some parts of the world? Also, I would recommend that some airfields just have their lights on all the time. Outside of small municipal airports the lights are just kept on at military fields and commercial airports.
  8. Even in single player it's incomplete. In my play around map there is an E-2 and I added an E-3 to make sure I wasn't missing something as a potential gateway. Furthermore I put in an F-15C AI as another Link 16 donor. As you can see in the attached picture, the F-18 SA page shows all the friendly aircraft (the two AWACS near the center, the F-15 near bullseye, and the two tankers in between). In the A-10 I only see the three jets that are donors and none of the other tracks that they share with Link 16 jets. As another data point I created a clean mission with only an A-10C II, a KC-135, and an F-15C. The F-15 is visible on the TAD despite no gateway unit existing. So more the issue appears to be that the gateway function is only sharing the information for donor aircraft, but not their tracks.
  9. There is at least one switch guard on my jet that don't return the switch to a specific position. They tend to be black switch guards, but they do exist.
  10. I had it happen to me a couple of times last night. While I was fairly tight in (okay, really tight in) for this turn you can see the TGP lose its spot while in point track mode with the SPI set to the TGP location. Track file on Google Drive as it's over the forum's size limit. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1keTZ2rfav7YqDoJSiKubD84RiUlmKN8g/view?usp=sharing
  11. While it's not a command, if you enable "Hide Control Stick" in the gameplay menu it won't be in the jet.
  12. What would the COM SEC and ECCM buttons do since (other than SRS's "encryption") there is no secure voice or have quick in the game? Or would those be mostly just for visual accuracy?
  13. I copied the individual joystick luas from the A-10C to the A-10C_2 user folder and the mappings followed.
  14. I copied the A-10C.lua in the ExportsModule folder to A-10C_2.lua and it seems to be working so far. They didn't change the data fields for any of the input or outputs. I didn't have anything mapped to the LASTE panel so I don't know how that will behave, but so far so good.
  15. I didn't really expect the new manual to be in the docs folder already. Well done.
  16. Because then they would have to have two completely different systems in place. One for single player and one for multiplayer. But don't forget that a lot of servers have scripted JTACs that still need to have the code.
  17. Also make sure your DCS_NMEA.lua has the correct output settings to include AHRS_UDP to 1, and host_AHRS to be your iPad's IP address. Otherwise it doesn't know where to send the data.
  18. ED Tracker is a 3DOF gyro based head tracker. It's basically the same parts that let your phone know which direction you are looking at. The down side, from what I researched, is that it's only 3DOF so you can't lean or scoot forward.
  19. Current E-3s have both Link 16 and SADL. I don't know if they translate between the protocols like an E-11 or EQ-4 does, but at the very least I would expect it would sharing tracks that it was aware of rather than just providing its own location. Perhaps it's just a lost in translation issue, but the FB comment reads like it's a capability we should have already.
  20. Can anyone provide some pointers on this gateway functionality? I don't see any options on the E-3, the mission settings, or see any units that should be gateway nodes in real life. You can see the AWACS units on the TAD but it doesn't share any other units it is aware of. Having friendly and enemy air units on the map would be a life saver.
  21. Probably the same thing that Polychop is dealing with based on their latest update.
  22. His videos are great and I have it working for the rest of the dial positions, I just can't do that with the first position of the A-10's VHF radios since it doesn't return a predictable number. I was thinking about it and I may try modifying the export lua to create a new variable that only gives the first part of the frequency seen in the 2002 variable.
  23. The real ARC-210 is a software defined radio that covers a lot of spectrum. The same radio (in it's newest version) can handle most everything from 30 MHz FM to 800 MHz public safety bands.
  24. I was going to post the same question today. Thanks for adding the solution. Now....on the first segment of the ARC-186s don't return useful data to set the title change with. For example the AM one starts with 0.00 being 12 and it increments 0.10 with each increase until 0.00 becomes 9 and going up a few more to 12 it now returns 0.30. Is there a better place to get the actual frequency from? I would assume so since SRS figures it out somehow. Added: So it looks like in addition to variables 139-142 for the individual knobs there is a 2002 for the complete frequency. Not that it helps me get the current first knob position, but it's a starting point.
