  1. It appears it was READ Kavete. They are asking for explanation of acronyms and what was actually done I believe.
  2. That works for me, as long as I know the process. Thanks for the help.
  3. Is there a way of you finding out why changes that are included in the update are not included in the changelog? This is two in a row that do not show any updates to the Harrier, yet there are changes for the AV8 in both updates. Other aircraft seem to be included (MI8, A-10c, NS430, in update 4 and F-5E in update 5) but nothing for the harrier even though there have been significant changes in both updates. This didn't use to be the case. Not angry, just trying to figure out what is going on....:music_whistling:
  4. To clarify, does that mean in the changelog or in the update itself?
  5. Resolved (as far as Tx effect). One side has to be on and the other off (in settings). I had both set to on. Once I set one to off, it came alive. I appreciate all the help and sorry to waste your time with something so simple.
  6. A follow-up to this. I uninstalled/reinstalled 1.4.8.0 and now have all of the menu pages for DCS/VR overlay, but still do not hear the audible Tx/Rx tone when pressing Tx key. I did not press the common Tx key (saw your response after I went to work so did not get opportunity to try that), but had the Tx/radio select tied per your suggestion in the video. The green light does illuminate, and in-game, I do get the Trans on the DCS overlay when I key up.
  7. New to Simpleradio and so far looks like a great product. The one issue I am having right now is the lack of Transmit que (Click) when I key the mic. I have searched the forum and cannot locate anything except a suggestion to make sure the volume is up (it is). Also it is selected in the settings. I can hear the other peoples pre/post transmit ques, but not my own, and they cannot hear mine. Any ideas? I am sure it is something that I am doing wrong.
  8. Yes, Thank you. The information is greatly appreciated.
  9. Thanks for the responses all. My question was obviously put wrong. I agree the functionality of the Tray tool is great (and I cannot check right now but think mine was pointed to updater.exe in the bin folder of DCS so it would recognize it, if I remember correctly) and use it every start up. I was more interested to find out if the sampling for the Tool was actually linked to the game still, or if it had been "locked out" so it had no effect as was the case quite a while ago. Secondly, should the in game slider still match the Tool sampling number to prevent infighting between the two?
  10. Glad you got it sorted out.
  11. Is the Oculus tray tool still relevant in 2.5 or is it no longer applicable?
  12. This appears to be back in 2.5. Anyone else see it?
  13. I think I would go where FragBum is thinking. Steam VR has nothing to do with 2.5 stand alone version. To start it on the stand alone installation, just start oculus, Start DCS and make sure use headset is checked in vr tab of options. (Simplified, but it should get you in the ballpark).
  14. Looks like 2.5 open beta direct download is now on the DCS download page.
  15. Fictional VMA-214 Harrier honoring Pappy Boyington and their WWII Predecessors.
  16. Ok found the answer but it is trial and error. In the mission editor, I had to put 6116 to get 16 on the wings, nose, and tail. you have to try different number sequences of the numbers you want to show. Empty will equal 00 but so would 000. Thanks to KIZIR_77 for the explanation
  17. Same situation. Mine show up as 10. Want them to match tail when applied.
  18. I have searched the forum and found a few posts concerning removing the numbers so the do not show at all but what if you want them to match the tail number. I understand the mission editor and in game changing of the tail number, but have not figured out how to get the 2 digit nose, flap, and top of tail number to match the actual tail number entered. Mine always revert to 10 even though there is nothing in the description.lua which determines that number and the skins are clean. Where do I locate the file that is determining the numbers for those areas? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
  19. Have the approach lights for the extended centerline of the runways (Running rabbit lights) at Nellis been modeled? I can find no way to activate them yet another member says they show from his view in our MP game. He even shows video since we called him certifiable :pilotfly:. If it is modeled, we sure do not want him to be the only one to have it. Anyone have the scoop on this one?
  20. Replaced Export.lua. Problem resolved. Thanks for the outstanding support
  21. The only think I can think of was the CDU export i did for the Ipad. Since I am VR now, cannot use that anyhow. Will look at the export for anything else. If I cannot figure it out, I will forward the file. Thanks for the help.
  22. Got the file to download. 1.5 and 2.0 have same alert in the file dcs.zip
  23. It did not allow me to upload the file but I did find this line item: ALERT EDCORE: Can't execute Lua file C:\Users\Firebirds Pit\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\Export.lua - [string "C:\Users\Firebirds Pit\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\Export.lua"]:39: attempt to call field '?' (a nil value)
  24. Hence the creation of the "G" model. Developed to deter just that tactic, the G had as many as 8 .50 guns that could point forward at any given time (actual count is 7 since Navigator had to jump between cheek guns), and with box formation, the frontal attack became a thing of the past quickly. With 13 .50 per aircraft, fortress was the perfect term for this monster. Having the privilege of being a flight crew chief on one of the 13 remaining flying versions, I can say it is truly a Flying Fortress.
