The last 2 or 3 updates, when the update is actually finished, it seems to freeze on the closing screens (cleaning up and waiting to finish). While I have not seen that it has any effect on the actual update, I have had to force closing (I have left the screens up for hours and it does not close) to continue. I do not know if this is a bug or operator error bu could not find anything about it on a search so thought I would ask.

Same issue here. I have to exit DCS, and close/re-open Voiceattack to get the last used module to go back to default on the PTT page. This was using same mission but different aircraft, but actually closing DCS and restarting. Still had to close VA to get the module to clear.

Not sure what you have the Pixel density slider set to, but anything above 1.5 causes the issue of visibility on my end. It makes sense as once the aircraft is a single pixel, the lower the density, the bigger the pixel.

Well, as expected, it was something I didn't do. There is a Special settings page for the Harrier which you select an option for the INS. When I looked at that nothing was selected, so I selected an option and the ladder was right where it was supposed to be. Leaving this here just in case I am not the only old guy who missed it.

Ever since I updated to 2.5 release, the AV-8B has been missing the Pitch ladder. It is working fine in the 2.5 open beta. I cannot find any way to turn it on. This happens in the instant action Free flight as well as the cold and dark. The INS is in Nav mode so to my knowledge, it should be showing. Am I missing something?

Currently, this only applies to the AV8 module that I can see, but during a MP session, with custom skins for each user selected, the files being in each users folder (CoreMod AV8 files) as well as the hosts, when you look at the other clients aircraft, they are in a default WP skin instead of the custom one, but when each player looks at themselves (F2), they are in their custom skins. Is there a folder that needs to be deleted in Saved games, or elsewhere that would effect this? This has only happened since the conversion from 2.2 to 2.5, and while not a game changer at all, would like to get it taken care of. The custom files do have texture files (Roughmet) but not sure if that has any effect on the visibility.

It appears it was READ Kavete. They are asking for explanation of acronyms and what was actually done I believe.

That works for me, as long as I know the process. Thanks for the help.

Is there a way of you finding out why changes that are included in the update are not included in the changelog? This is two in a row that do not show any updates to the Harrier, yet there are changes for the AV8 in both updates. Other aircraft seem to be included (MI8, A-10c, NS430, in update 4 and F-5E in update 5) but nothing for the harrier even though there have been significant changes in both updates. This didn't use to be the case. Not angry, just trying to figure out what is going on....:music_whistling:

To clarify, does that mean in the changelog or in the update itself?

Resolved (as far as Tx effect). One side has to be on and the other off (in settings). I had both set to on. Once I set one to off, it came alive. I appreciate all the help and sorry to waste your time with something so simple.

A follow-up to this. I uninstalled/reinstalled 1.4.8.0 and now have all of the menu pages for DCS/VR overlay, but still do not hear the audible Tx/Rx tone when pressing Tx key. I did not press the common Tx key (saw your response after I went to work so did not get opportunity to try that), but had the Tx/radio select tied per your suggestion in the video. The green light does illuminate, and in-game, I do get the Trans on the DCS overlay when I key up.

New to Simpleradio and so far looks like a great product. The one issue I am having right now is the lack of Transmit que (Click) when I key the mic. I have searched the forum and cannot locate anything except a suggestion to make sure the volume is up (it is). Also it is selected in the settings. I can hear the other peoples pre/post transmit ques, but not my own, and they cannot hear mine. Any ideas? I am sure it is something that I am doing wrong.

Yes, Thank you. The information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the responses all. My question was obviously put wrong. I agree the functionality of the Tray tool is great (and I cannot check right now but think mine was pointed to updater.exe in the bin folder of DCS so it would recognize it, if I remember correctly) and use it every start up. I was more interested to find out if the sampling for the Tool was actually linked to the game still, or if it had been "locked out" so it had no effect as was the case quite a while ago. Secondly, should the in game slider still match the Tool sampling number to prevent infighting between the two?
-
Is the Oculus tray tool still relevant in 2.5 or is it no longer applicable?
-
This appears to be back in 2.5. Anyone else see it?

I think I would go where FragBum is thinking. Steam VR has nothing to do with 2.5 stand alone version. To start it on the stand alone installation, just start oculus, Start DCS and make sure use headset is checked in vr tab of options. (Simplified, but it should get you in the ballpark).

Looks like 2.5 open beta direct download is now on the DCS download page.

Nose, wing and 2 digit automatically match tail number
Firebird1955 replied to Firebird1955's topic in AV-8B N/A
Ok found the answer but it is trial and error. In the mission editor, I had to put 6116 to get 16 on the wings, nose, and tail. you have to try different number sequences of the numbers you want to show. Empty will equal 00 but so would 000. Thanks to KIZIR_77 for the explanation -
Nose, wing and 2 digit automatically match tail number
Firebird1955 replied to Firebird1955's topic in AV-8B N/A
Same situation. Mine show up as 10. Want them to match tail when applied. -
I have searched the forum and found a few posts concerning removing the numbers so the do not show at all but what if you want them to match the tail number. I understand the mission editor and in game changing of the tail number, but have not figured out how to get the 2 digit nose, flap, and top of tail number to match the actual tail number entered. Mine always revert to 10 even though there is nothing in the description.lua which determines that number and the skins are clean. Where do I locate the file that is determining the numbers for those areas? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
