I think you've hit the nail on the head here Skatezilla. I've been tweaking settings for a couple of days, and came to the conclusion that it doesn't matter. For the first time since I bought it, I can properly fly the Huey. I spent 2 hours in the Huey pit last night. It's nothing to do with details, it's all about the immersion. I can feel what the airframe is doing! I didn't use the trimmer once and managed to land on all manner of rooftops etc. It was amazing.

DCS Update is out, just finished downloading.

A-10C for sure. It's just such a great model. The depth of immersion is better than any other module in DCS (IMO...) If you have the $$ go for the Mirage, too. It still has some work to be done on it, but it's a nice model and gives you A2A and A2G options. I'm really enjoying it. Just my 2c!

I'm 90% sure new explosion effects are in the works for 2.0. Wags has spoken about it on his YouTube videos a few times.

I'm having trouble with adding admins to SLMOD. I can add them via the command line, and that all works fine but it looks like the ServerAdmins.lua file gets reset on a server restart...

Looking good so far on 2.0. Everything seems to do what it's supposed to.

Hi, I'm working on setting up some monitoring for my DCS server. I have metrics for cpu/disk/ram. Does anyone know if it's possible to monitor the number of players on the server, maybe by scraping a log file or something? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Have a look in c:\users\*username*\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\options.lua In there, you'll find a section called 'Graphics'. Change the Height and Width settings to the native resolution of your monitor.

It works if I've selected an aircraft and I'm in the pit. It doesn't work if I'm just in the lobby. I'm sure it used to...

I find that if I'm hosting a server, the ' key no longer shows me a list of players on the server. It works if I'm playing on the server, but doesn't if I'm just in the MP lobby. Is this a bug?

Don't know if this will help, but I found I could get onto servers by changing the order of the server listing before joining. I sorted by ping, then saw that a lot more servers came up and then I could join ok.

The new engine will offload more of the grunt work to the GPU rather than the CPU. This is a great thing!
