Sorry, I can't be more helpfull, but I mean there are some small yellow or green lights that turns off when you use your C/F. Where? Erhm... I can't recall (on work - no FC running) ;) I think it is on your right side - try looking for a row of small lamps shutting off, when you pump out C/F. Difference in 25/25T? Erhm... I can't recall. Am I really helpful? Erhm... I can't recall ;) A quick recap of this pointless post: - There are maybe some lights that turn off. - They are maybe somewhere in the cockpit. - They are maybe in one or both the 25/25T. That should help you out ;)

Yeah, that video is upgraded - no hands in the earlier version - which actually persuaded me into buying the 6DOF. It looks stunning. "The finger" will be in implemented in the first LOBS-patch ;)

Just to ask stupid: You have erased the lines - I back up the original files and replace them with the ones you have posted here. THEN I make sure my Cockpit-settings have "Reflections ON". The result will be that all the framerate-killing "glittering-effect" is erased, but the pilot/canopy-edge reflections will stay? Correct?

The details is gonna KILL my computer. What can I expect in FPS with these frameratekiller graphics? :)

Then I just continue to practise gunsguns in 1.12a - still don't have the precision to take out BMP's with five rounds in the A10, buuut its getting there (having nailed 296 BMPs so far practising) I'm a drilling machine! :)

Hehe. Great one, shamandgg :) These people are not trying to be unpolite, krel01, but flightsimulators are very complex programs and tend to be delayed. That's why ED is giving us a little video here and some cool screens there to show progress, but never commit themselves to a date before they're abso-fecking-lutely sure, they can keep their end of the deal. On the UBI-forums there was "The Patch-Song" before 1.01 and 1.02 where some time frames were made public (as far as I recall), and when these dates weren't met - many in the community got angry/dissapointed. Well, My setup is not so unique - actually its quite ordinary... buuut since my daughters birth 8 weeks ago it is quite unique that I'm actually in that chair :) Only the new "flight sim baby-sling add-on" gives my the chance of flying. The other setup is of course the Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar - and Glowing here you got yourself some weight on the desk - I exchanged my Logitech Sidewinder (or something) last summer and hasn't looked back. Created my own profile, and now I can almost avoid using the keyboard on standard missions. [shameless Selfpromotion -On] Btw. ... indeed, Fraps is a way to go. A small hint. Play your track on half speed and then double it in your video editor - it should give you smoother pictures and less stuttering. The backside of Fraps is, that it is basically is thousands upon thousands of screenshots of what is happening on your desktop - inclusive stuttering etc. The ingame videorendering is AFAIK calculations - hence no stuttering. But Fraps is Sooo easy to use. Pro's and Con's, my friend.

Nononono Juuuuust a bit off there, Hitman. It is Stephen Coonts - another aviation writer. I wonder why no one has mentioned the "T-word" - yes, Top Gun. That turned me from a full blooded propellerhead to a F14-kinda-guy back in the 80's. And I'm NOT going into the whole business about the... "realistic" combat scenes - and most CERTAINLY not going into the stuff about the claims that the whole movie actually has a lot of hidden homosexual references (but se the movie again and look at Val and really listen to the dialouge. It is kind of funny, if you put the pink glasses on) :)

Thanks a lot. It is really helpful. Great tip about recording at low speed - though it results in huuuuge files. BUT it is one way to do it of the two methods. I would still very much like to know how to use the in-game movie rendering tools step-by-step - including codec pros and cons.

Deletion of folders? Hi there, lillen Your specs are app. like mine and I am running everything ok. 1. Did you install your FC on a freshly installed Lock on version 1.00? If not it could be a factor in the "un-running" of FC When re-installing: 1. Did you back up your Registry-entry of FC? You can back up your unique registry-entry through the tool from ED (located in your Lock On-folder). It is installed through FC and you use it to prevent you spend your limited registrations through reinstallations of FC. Also backup your flightstick-files. 2. Uninstall. 3. Remove all Lock On-referrals from your Registry-database - there are several free tools on the net - this isn't at demand from ED to make FC work, but better safe than sorry. 3. Physically remove all Lock On-folders from your "Program Files/Ubisoft"-folders - and i mean manually deletion. 4. Reboot. THEN you should be ready to reinstall. And first Lock On - no patching required. THEN run the registry-backup-thing again (I think) Then install FC, then patch to 1.11. - I am not 100% sure when you should add your registry-entry - before or after the installation of FC. It should help you - I found out the hard way by rushing things and not reading everything - I had problems after 1.11 - but I didn't read the sentence about it is not recommended to install 1.11 when addons are installed. Good Luck

Problem Solved! I did the reinstall, JaBoG32_Viper. It took more than 3 hours - backing up old lua-files, keyboard-files, uninstalling ModMan and reinstalling everything from the old Lockon-disk (did the uninstall - and THEN tried to find the old disc - biiiig mistake. Took ½ hour of frantic activity before I found it) After the install of 1.1 - test - no problem. Install of 1.11 - test - no problem. Install of old lua-files - one at a time - no problem Install of ModMan - test - no problem Install of my six mods - one at a time - tested options and framerates on A-10 quick mission and custom graphic test mission - two times did Lock-On CTD. Both times when trying to load the graphictest miss w/ normal unmodded overcast (???) After everything done (and one pissed off pregnant GF in living room), I think I can conclude that I only have a small clue why, but problem solved. In the recommendations of ModMan it clearly states that it is best to install MM on a vanilla installation - I didn't do that - and I reckon that is my mistake. But all the testing helped me to squeeze an extra 15-20 FPS when flying over Sevastopol - before I had 9-10 and now from 25-30 just by lowering the Visible Range from High to Medium (together with the mods of course) :) Thanks to all of you - and now it is time to bring GF a cup of tea and some comfort ;)

But I haven't tried to play any track in weeks :( I tried yesterday to go direct to "Options" and change settings before anything, but no luck - thanks for the advice, though. Nice to hear from you :) @JaBoG32_Viper: Yeah, that reinstall-thought did lurk somewhere in my mind. Damn, it is a hassle with all the lua-editing i have done. But OK, if that is the way to go. I will try the reinstall (shudder) and sloooow mod-installing on a vanilla 1.11.

Hi Wolverine 1. Yes - the locked settings is "Global" in standard campaigns, dl'ed campaigns, single missions, my own missions homebuild missions and between missions ;) 2. Yes - "eagle" etc. But fact is: I can't change any settings under "Options"; ANY except graphics-settings since I patched to 1.11. I have no external views, no g-effects etc. When I change these options, and start a mission/campaign - nothing has changed. I go back to options re-do my changes - with no result - in the next mission/camp - again nothing has changed. This can't be right? Am I the only one with this problem? I have no technical issues whatsoever with my comp: AMD 64-3000, 1 GB Kingston PCI3200 RAM (I think), ATI-9800XT, 2*120GB IDE Seagate, XP Pro SP2 - pretty ok, and LO runs fine with the basic ModMan tweaks - better water FPS, Tekas seat fix - better lights - Tekas moon-mod and thats it - Note that these were installed and worked fine before I installed the 1.11.

Still "no-go" Hi Bflagg and Gazehound I do have admin-rights ;-) And the setting problem is unrelated to missions - problem is the same on startup. Between my first and second post I went to the Lock-On folder and marked all files and folders and un-write-protected the lot. Everything should be fine. But I still can't change any settings. Can anyone point me to a specific .cfg og lua-file in where the settings are located, so I can change them manually.
