Yes.....when it happens to me it is when I begin in the air already. ......Like The F18 Caucuses Free Flight .............or a multiplayer sever where it is an air start, like a dogfight server.
-
No, there are no other devices that are connected except my head tracking device, the Tobii Eye Track 5. I fail to see how that could affect the in-game flight controls. There is no new hardware either. The only thing I can think of is that I noticed the problem since that last update. The fact that the default keys for trimming have no effect whatsoever when this phenomenon arises is of concern. This problem doesn't happen every time I turn on DCS. Only occasionally.
-
It's a problem that causes the Trim function's failure. All directions of Trim fail in the F18 with and without HOTAS and the aircraft loads and begins in a left dive. In fact the HOTAS is the only thing that does work.
-
Sometimes, randomly, when I start flying in single player or multiplayer, the trim function is set to pitch forward into a dive and no amount of added trim can reverse this with either keyboard controls or my HOTAS. So it cannot be my HOTAS that has the problem. The only way to fly level is to pull back hard on the stick. It cannot be trimmed in any direction when this occurs. Sometimes exiting the mission and trying a different one will fix it. Sometimes it won't. A restart of DCS has fixed it so far but it can return randomly. This happens randomly in both single player and multiplayer on various maps and servers. This just started several weeks ago. So far it has only happened in the F-18....... but I do mostly fly the F-18. It has not happened in the F-16.

2.8 Question about update size
Captain Chuck replied to Captain Chuck's topic in Installation Problems
Well..... apart from the basic DCS World I have bought 5 aircraft modules a Supercarrier and 5 more maps btw does the downloader tell you the size accurately when you click on the Update? .... I think it said over 32,000 mbts but I wasn't sure if that is how much bandwidth it will use to download. -
Just wondering if anyone can tell me how to find out roughly what size in GB the update the update to 2.8 will be. I have limited bandwidth and have to time this right. Any ideas?

Video showing the inner workings which every Mustang pilot should understand.

Headmounted camera in cockpit of SU-25 SM while flying in real combat. From this you can see how accurately DCS portrays our flight simulator. It looks like a DCS mission! Unfortunately, my video file is too big for DCS forum so I must reduce the size and lose some clarity maybe. Su-25SM(1).mp4

Red exclamation mark in bindings on A-10C II only
Captain Chuck replied to imacken's topic in General Bugs
We have a winner! Thanks you. Strangely several of low fidelity aircraft of my received red exclamations somehow, and binding not did work. Your "fix" fixed things instantly and so easy. However, I did use Flappie's suggestion. -
Thank you all. As they say, "that sucks"!

Are there any persons besides me, of course, who occasionally find that after they jump into one of their aircrafts, that all the Hotas assignments for that plane have defaulted to something else? Several days ago, this happened to my P51 and so I had to go through the trouble of reassigning all the bindings before I could fly. I think there is some way to find those lost bindings in a file but it took so long for me to search for them and then figure out our to make them load, that it turned out to be easier to just do them all again. So that it what I did. A couple of weeks ago it happened with my MiG-29. Today, this happened again with my F-16. It was after the Beta update. I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not, I never noticed having to do them again after an update before, though. I just got done reassigning the bindings...but now and I think I figured out how to save them for next time. This has never happened to my F/A-18 though. Anyway, what do you think this could be attributed to, my fine comrades? Kapitan Chook Over and out:

OK.........Skatezilla fixed it and got all back to normal for me...and I didn't even lose my custom skins. Thanks all!

-
yes maybe. I used that program with some difficulty on my last PC. I just now remembered about it. I'll play around with it.
-
No.... I tried both. I guess I should have said "windows terminal" .... Maybe it would be easier to uninstall the F-16 mod and re-install it. Not sure of best way to do that either.
-
I dou't think this method is going to work for me. .... A bit complicated for me because Powershell is not accepting input. Nothing appears as it does in the instructions. In the past I have used "DCS repair" but I don't know what exactly I did....but I did not have these troubles as I have now trying it.

All of the F-16 skins have somehow disappeared from my DCS Beta. ...except for three custom skins which I downloaded from User Files. Is there any way I can just get back the default skins that come with the F-16. I'm not even sure what skins were included in the original when I bought the F-16.

A-4E-C Nose Wheel Steering missing.
Captain Chuck replied to GBU10's topic in How To Mod for DCS World
It's a terrible shame really...because now the sim version of A4 braking will present the module as unpopular....which will mean it will be included less in various MP servers. Like the I-16 is currently. -
What do you want to see most in DCS World?
Captain Chuck replied to Wags's topic in DCS Core Wish List
We need more support for Tobii Eye Tracker. And clickable cockpits for Flankers and Migs and F-15 -
At what time can we expect Eagle Dynamics to allow Tobii Eye Tracker to become "native" in DCS? I mean so, that, we have Tobii integrated with DCS in all aspects, such as during external views etc. So we can make better videos. It is not as fully integrated with native support in to DCS as, for an example, in Star Citizen. I think that ED must this work upon more because Tobii is more natural than TrackIr, and eventually will replace all other Head Track contraptions which must be worn upon the head.
