Nope , it is not good change at all. At least i don't like it. The AP now influence the pedals positions and retrim it. It is really weird for me so i stop to use yaw AP chanel at all.

There was Landing action without set up time how long the helicopter have to be on the ground, so the landing action actually never end so the next immortal off action won't start. When I set the immortal off action before the landing action it started working as intended. Thanks for advice. I trying to do , black hawk down style mission , so i want somehow force helicopter to "crash landing" on specific place.

Su-25T, Ka-50, Mi-24P all FC3 plane does have in communication menu F2,F3,F4 Wingman2,3,4 -> F1 - engage -> F1 - My Target It is really strange if Hornet does not have this command.

What track you are waiting for? It is pretty easy to replicate it. Just load GUV 8700 MG in to pylons 3 and 4 and rockets uder pylons 2 and 5 will not works. No mather if it are ATGM or S-8 or S-5 or S-13.

Is there a way how to make a unit immortal only in between some specifically waypoints? I did set up in turning point 1 command immortal value on. Then on Turning point 3 i setup immortal value to off. However the unit is immortal all the time. It don't turn to mortal after Turning point 3. Do i miss something , or what is the point of parameter "value"?

Can you please use different map source for HIND map navigation system in zoom in 1:200000 format. For now it currently use a source where are lots of empty places, but there is actually layer of pretty detailed maps which covers everything. So why you just don't use this map source instead of the one with empty places?

Not sure when it was changed , but now on the latest open beta it is as i expect. That is, option F2,F3,F4 are now available all the time in communication menu. So this topic can be mark as solved. Thanks.

I just noticed is already done. Thanks.

investigating R60 and ATGM equipped on paired pylons
bingbean replied to formaggio's topic in Bugs and Problems
This is one of the things that can be, should be wrong. -
Still investigating? This is one of things what should not be strictly IRL. DCS World scenarios are not real as well. In DCS as a game we mostly want and need so many ammo as possible. I like the GUV 8700 machine gun pods, however when i can't use all 8 ATGM with them, then is not worth for me. Come on ED let me use all 8 ATGMs in combination with the gunpods.

GUV8700 MG use fixed instead of floating reticle.
bingbean replied to sneo's topic in Bugs and Problems
No, actually only the floating reticle don't work correctly, because you are not in range yet. Or some times it happen to me, the floating reticle stuck on wrong position, for some reason. Then i have to switch to cannon and back to gunnpod or rockets and it works again -
X56 and any of dual throttle stick dont have cradle style rudder control. So you will need pedals or use twist on the joystick.

It is hard to say how big actually looks this scope style sight in real live, but it is probably bigger as i can see it on my 27" 1080P monitor. Compared to another module like Ka-50 , A-10C , Su-25T and others who use camera and monitor, Mi-24P is with scope sight a little bit at a disadvantage. In cockpit view Ka-50 or A-10C I can zoom in (num*) the SHKVAL or MDI monitor to the real size, or even more. In the Mi-24P scope view zoom in button "num*" does nothing. Despite the fact that the sight circle is almost across the entire screen, the resulting image is still not large enough. So it would be nice to still be able to use num* zoom, even if it cuts off part of the view.

Currently there is no other combat style throttle stick on market at TWCS price point. So if you budget is limited, then not much other option. TWCS is inspired by F18 HORNET throttle , winwing throttle is F18 replica as well, so it should by easy for you to adapt for it after using TWCS. But winwing is 4 time so expensive. https://wwsimstore.com/view/goods-details.html?id=375 The Logitech X56 has mixed reviews. Many people complain about ghost inputs. This is such a common problem that even official logitech support recommends using a powered USB HUB with this HOTAS, which solves this problem. In fact, TWCS also has a common problem. The main throttle movement is sticky with default grease. Is really shame, the thrustmaster dehonest his own product only by using incorrect grease for metal - plastic friction. The most recommended nyogel 767a i was not able to buy in my country and shipping from amazon will cost me more as TWSC it self. So it took me a few trial and error attempts with several different lubes until I found the MOGUL A00 which makes the lever movement really smooth.

I made some comparative of new and old ATGM sight. Is nice to know the new sight textures and FOV is more as in real life,, but the result of this more real FOV is, the size of vehicle in 10x zoom sight at maximum range 5 km is only 2-3 pixels on full HD resolution. On the old one it was 6-7 pixels. I dont care to much about the new or old textures , but i definitely prefer old FOV. ED at least make the new sight bigger about 80 pixels, but it doesn't compensate the smaller zoom too much. And just for curiosity. Old and new sight have the 10 and 50 reverse T range marks same size in 3,3x zoom and 10xzoom sight. Is this correct? I mean, i know is not correct , but is it not correct even i IRL? Are these range markers supposed to be used only at 10x zoom?

The visibility is one of biggest problem in any type of sim games what is hard to do correct, because most of players don't use 4k projectors with the 3x5m big screen, where you can get realistick objects size in realistic FOV. In 27" or 32" monitor what probably use most of players, when you set up FOV to at least 70° , then the object on screen are much more smaller as you would see them in real live. I have no idea how big looks 5 km far away tank while the IRL gunner look thru the scope, but i am sure it is more bigger as it is for us on 27" or 32" monitor at the same FOV. So just set up realistic FOV and don't care how big screen use most of players is not a good way. If ED give me a statictick what will say the most of players use 50 and more inches monitor or TV then i accept this change. Otherwise it should be there some compromis what will be real as possible and what not.

Petrovich sight - Removed Azimuth and L/R degrees?
bingbean replied to Rhinozherous's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
There was option in editor additional options for helicopter where you could turn off this boxes. I don't try new patch yet so maybe they moved this option somewhere else (ideally in special option for hind) or they turn it off by default. /edit I just tried the new update and nothing change for me in this case. So you probably just happened to play a mission where the boxes were turned off in the editor and it has nothing to do with new update.- 1 reply

No one care? Did you all just play multiplayer? The AI is not clever too much and is really important to command them and is important command them separately. And is not problem only for Mi-24P, similar problem is in all module what i have.(FC3,Ka-50, free Su-25T) In this case if i have 3 wingmen so it is crew of 4 planes at the beginning of the mission in communication menu are all options F1 - flight, F2 - Wingman 2, F3 - Wingman 3, F4 - Wingman 4. So far so good. But if during the mission is shot down wingman 2 in communication menu disappear option F4 - wingman 4. So i have no more access to command wingmen 4 separately. When i send some orders to F2-wingman 2 there is no reaction because wingman 2 is dead.Come on guys this is important and the fix is pretty easy. Just keep all the option F2 - F4 in the communication menu all the time no matter how many wingman is alive or at the beginning of mission.

O.K. i see now. It is different table what i was saw and tried to use in chuck's guide. This table say , if you fly 50 hight at speed 200km/h IAS and launch rockets in 20° pitch-up , the rockets fell down somewhere 6750m far away. Yes now it make sense.
-
Hmm what? I am totally confused now. How you can aim while pitch-up when the crosshair point somewhere to the sky.
-
I won't post the direct link to the videos here because they are too recent and will probably be removed anyway. If you will search MI-24 attack in youtube shorts you should find some. The pitch up before shooting is pretty huge 30-40° what i saw. Why is in the manual table in post form Gloria "pitch-up" insted of "pitch-down"? Wrong translation on my side or they side? I found similar table and tutorial how to aim manually in chuck's guide , but do it is so hard, because Hind accelerate so fast.
-
O.K that interesting. I saw some videos where Hind fly really low then pitch up and send all missile up to the air. When a saw that i thought what a waste of ammo. Now it makes more sense use rockets as kind of "carpet bombing" if they can precise aim anyway.

+1 for smaller gun what don't remove rocket launcher or gunpod from inner pods.

When i have one wingman in communication menu is not option F2 - Wingman 2. Is there only option F1 - flight. Not big deal in this case , because i can command wingman by using F1 option. But when i have 2 wingmen in communication menu is only F1 - flight and F2-Wingman 2. Option F3- Wingman 3 is not there so i can't give separate order to wingman 3. When i have 3 wingman then missing option F4-Wingman 4.
