Extended Warthog Stick with industrial spring for more feedback
Impact replied to shagrat's topic in Home Cockpits
But I mean if they have that precision problem, because you have a bigger lever in non fly by wire planes then lets say with the stick of the f16 -
No, I think its good as it is right now. But I think i will have problems fitting the saitek rudder pedals under the tv mount.

Hmmm... I just ask myself, when you compare planes that are fly by wire, you do have the same problem with the precision? -
I didnt mount it, as I dont need it, I just bought it for the case that I need it. Maybe I will need it in the future. But you can mount it with bolts after you drilled some holes, or just fix it with special glue on the mount for steering wheels where my keyboard is sitting on at the moment.

Why didnt you just take the base with the hall sensoric, and extended it under it? Do you want that extra leverage? -
Now I will share some pictures: This is the place where I will build up the Obutto. I never had a corner as empty as this in my appartment. Something seems to be missing... OH BOY!!! The Obutto finally arrived after 3 months of waiting! Now that unwrapping was exhausting. The seat looks very comfortable, and very communistic! All hail the MiG 28! That was easier and more fun than the unwrapping. Too bad I don't have much time to fly at the moment. Thats how it looks like when I am behind your six and try to cut of your wing with my 7 barrel 30mm cannon. I will eventually put the stick where it belongs in the future.

It has finally arrived, but I didn't build it up completely yet, as the HDMI cables didnt arrive yet. The only thing missing right now. Should have bought locally. If you buy the 32 inch LCD HDTV, you dont even need a wall bracket! The four holes fit into the obutto mount. 32 inch seems to be just the right size. Unpackaging took very long, everything is put in bubblewrap tightly. Building the cockpit itself was a matter of arranging and tightening 20 screws. On the weekend I will post some pictures.

The problem with 42 inches is that its still the same resolution of 1920x1080. Also the Obutto can only hold small sized monitors by itself, if you want a bigger display you also have to buy a wall bracket. But that depends on the display. I have read through some comments on the LG 32LD420, and some use it as monitor for the PC, without problems. On tuesday I may post some pictures and opinions. When I am not too busy :)

No, but you can order a paper manual with extra money.

Thrustmaster equals quality right? :) Yesterday, my LG 32 inch hdtv arrived, including a wall bracket for installation. Cant test it though, the HDMI cables didnt arrive yet.

I just read it on this thread, http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=72122&highlight=carpal+tunnel+syndrome I got so scared I convinced myself to get an obutto.
-
The only thing lacking seems the warthog stick. Cant wait till tuesday. Today I already moved my furniture around, and now I have this empty space where something seems to be missing :) And tomorrow I get my new 32 inch hdtv.... Is yours 32 inch too? Cant wait to play ARMA2, Dirt3, and DCS A10C. I didnt fly an A10c since i read issues about getting carpal tunnel syndrome when you fly with the sticks on a desk.

You need this patience if you want to learn to fly the hog. I already knew that the flightgear would be shipped in june, but I didn't think it would be shipped on 31th of may! Now I know what I will have to do for the next few days.
-
Of course you cant watch it, its safelinked from my webmail account. I just posted the mail, I waited a few months till they ship it from portugal to germany. Finally.
-
Look at this guys: A few days then I will be able to fly the warthog with this new setup. Cant wait for it!

Startup + Grnd Power... How should the procedure differ?
Impact replied to mooshim's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Or maybe the chief just forgot that he put his coffee on your wing! -
Are these from an A10A? because the CDU looks different

There you have your DCS: Harrier sim. Now we can finally move on to F/A18

Would you please read about Infinity before making any conclussions? And when was the combat in the game presented? The ICP was just a network test, and doesn't present the game in anyway. I am probably right that you don't even know what the ICP is. Read through the forums on how everything is planned out. How do you think that combat looks like? How can you say that it will be like WW1, when there is newtonian physics. You can just speed up infinitely, maybe use the gravitational field of a planet to make a slingshot maneuver. Stop being ignorant. Also there will be a singleplayer version. But you probably didn't read about that either. I hate when people say this or that doesn't work. What if Nikola Tesla stopped after Edison told him alternating current is bad. Some people said that the human body cant survive more than 40 km/h velocity. Numerous examples which just show that being skeptic and ignorant doesnt help the cause at all. Sure, we may do some errors, but you learn from that. That's what experience is all about. Staying at home living the save life won't get you anywhere.
-
Ah, so you play the game right at the moment to say that its combat is boring? There is only one developer of the game, and he coded everything. The community helps him a lot by making suggestions, thinking about stuff that you mentioned (and according to theories, most people will stay near the cores to make money), submitting 3d models, sounds, music pieces etc... This is the guys dream, and it looks like he will finish it or die. He invested his own freetime and money into developement. And you see how far he is already.

The windshield is resistant to small arms fire, so I dont think that a little bird will cause any problems to it.

It means that they focus on the engine at first, to earn some money which would then be put into the gameplay aspect of the game. But if there are companies out there which buy the engine, we will see more space games in the future. Its a win win situation, as the engine is nearly finished, I guess.
-
But isnt this called cheating? They want me to do the job with the stuff they gave me, so I do it like they want.

At the moment I try to distinguish different enemy vehicles by using the AGM65D Maverick. In the TGP, its no problem to find and identify targets, and destroy the Anti Air at first, but with the Mav D, its all too blurry, even when zooming in. And the first campaign mission lets you only carry Mavs and Clusters, no Targetingpod. I want to destroy the Shilkas first, and then drop the clusters on the tank brigade.
