Has the retaliatory strike package been launched yet? It's time Meta was taught a lesson.

@Avenger31Hands in VR in DCS are... meh. So far, the best option is to use your headset to track your hands and HTCC to convert the tracking data to mouse movement. Then, use a finger-mounted mouse button emulator to click the mouse button. Yes, it isn't "hands;" however, it is reliable and immersive. You can use pinch gestures with HTCC to perform mouse clicks, and HTCC is free. So, I recommend giving it a try. When you realise that the pinch gestures are somewhat hit-and-miss, you may want to consider the Slugmouse. Here is an excellent demonstration of the Slugmouse: More details about the Slugmouse are here: null

It's a known and acknowledged fault on the atmeta forum. -

Training Level 8 broken when following instructions?
slughead replied to virgo47's topic in Missions and Campaigns
You mention unexpected autopilot.. That’s what it felt like to me and the first thing I checked. Nothing to do with radar tracks. I didn’t have a problem with that. -
Training Level 8 broken when following instructions?
slughead replied to virgo47's topic in Missions and Campaigns
If you have disabled this new feature: Added special settings to adjust the dead zone and gradient of the roll and pitch channel in FCS. Turn it back on. That seems to be the culprit. The mission was fine with this setting enabled, -

I wondered what that uncontrollable rolling and pitching was about! I'm hitting FLCS reset, backup FLCS, trim all sorts! -
F16 - Please, start the fixing and stop to implement new issues.
slughead replied to Nedum's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
IMHO, you can no longer say that the Viper is Early Access. Wasn't it first released in 2019? Five years ago? It's probably best to stop using "early access" in combination with the F-16. -
If anyone would like a version of the Slugmouse firmware that does not automatically sleep after 15 minutes of inactivity, I have developed a version with a manual sleep mode. It works by pressing and holding the middle hat button for 5 seconds. The LED will begin to flash red. Once the LED starts to flash, release the button. The device will be placed in a sleep state when the LED stops flashing. To wake up the device, press the middle hat button again. Battery life will be reduced. However, during early testing while developing the Slugmouse, the device ran continuously for 24 hours. I gave up before the battery did!

Leap Motion Controller 2 Very new to DCS and VR Qiest 3
slughead replied to Flyingjiny's topic in Input Devices
You don’t need a leap motion controller if you have the quest 3. The quest supports hand tracking natively. -
Plenty. This isn’t h.264 remember. HEVC is a far more efficient encoder.

Reshade 6.0 gets native support for OpenXr
slughead replied to speed-of-heat's topic in Virtual Reality
I suspect the issue is specifically related to the Varjo Base OXR implementation. That second check box never appears. That’s my hunch too. -

I have no idea about that. -

I've just swapped from the bin-mt folder to the bin folder in prep for the future removal of the bin-mt folder. So that means I have had to reinstall reshade for the bin folder. It still works for me. I've added more details to my instructions in the link below. If you would like me to try to diagnose your problem, please post a comment with screenshots of each step of the installation process, as I have done, and maybe I can see what you have missed. -

It looks like mine will finish before all of you, and I started at least half an hour after the last chap

It’s independent of any headset. It provides button clicks only not hand tracking. Your headset needs to support hand tracking and HTCC or use a leap motion controller to control mouse movement.

By up and down, I mean the up and down of the Slugmouse. Slugpad is a game controller rather than a mouse emulator. It's essentially a miniature gamepad hat switch worn on your index fingers. Here's a quick and dirty demo video using a development model of the Slugpad. Like the Slugmouse, it is a Bluetooth device with the same functionality as the Slugmouse but appears to Windows as a game controller rather than a mouse. This allows it to be seen by applications that do not support mice, e.g. open kneeboard. IMG_8621.MOV
