Ranges and flight profiles are the same as with the R-27 family. Regarding tracking a target moving in three dimensional space, logic stipulates that you use the same code you have (in DCS already) for the HOJ feature of the R-27R/ER.

It homes in on radars working in STT modes like Kh-31P does in the game for ground radars, as well as it homes in on ECMs like R-27ER does in the game. The only thing to add it to make it home in on radars that work in TWS modes. But I am sure your Subject Matter Experts know more than me on this.

The developers in the past have admitted that the R-27P/EP was in Soviet/Russian inventory all the time. Will you be bringing it in the game when the 9.12A comes? Relevant photo.

I could not agree with you more. If we are aiming for a proper simulation, we need to be able use the 80s Afghan infrastructure and NOT the late 2000s NATO made one. P.S. This is how Bagram looked like in the Soviet conflict.

It is a deal breaker for me as well, but hopefully the information shown here will influence ED in reconsidering the addition of these very important air bases. Then the community or even ED can work on creating the necessary assets for realistic Soviet conflict in Afghanistan scenarios. Kokaydi 115th IAP pilots in the photo.
