  8. Hello, Авиабаза 1521, Мары sent me to clear a couple of things up. Mary-1 “aggressors” were flying the following aircraft: In the early 70s MiG-21PFM, SM, UM and in 1974 - MiG21Bis. Since the fall of 1975, the 2nd squadron on the MiG23M/UB (non-woven blue with white edging, camouflage since 1979) MiG-23MLD was flown since 1984, The MiG-29 9.12 was adopted from 1989 for the 1st squadron and from 1991 for the 2nd squadron. Here is the original post about airbase Mary:

  10. It is a deal breaker for me as well, but hopefully the information shown here will influence ED in reconsidering the addition of these very important air bases. Then the community or even ED can work on creating the necessary assets for realistic Soviet conflict in Afghanistan scenarios. Kokaydi 115th IAP pilots in the photo.
  11. I strongly think we need a daily MiG-29 photo to cleanse ourselves from all the inaccuracies being said. Enjoy! Daily MiG-29

  21. 1st of all well done to the author of the mod. The Tu-16 was not represented in DCS, apart from the Soviet H-6 livery. Secondly the Chinese did have a glass nose version of the Tu-16 called H-6H. Thirdly the Soviet version that looks closer to the H-6N or K are the latest Tu-16K variants.
  22. There is this one also in English. There are interviews out there in Russian as well.
  23. Lots of history in the clips shown and from the people that spoke of him. Thank you for sharing.
