  1. I am totally new to MP. As close I have ever got to it is in FSX and that hardly qualifies. Always been a single player person. I want to change that and I have two good friends that are very interested in the A-10 but do not want to purchase it for the single player aspect at all. Whereas, I cna enjoy both. The dilema is this. They want to be able to "be by themselves" in a MP game with me and others of our age group. Lets just say we are old timers. Is it possible to have a server and limit who is on it? Can one person host and invite just 2 or 3 people? I know nothing about MP games and etc, if there is a place to send me to find the basics I would appreciate it. I will be reading all I can about Mp in that area but I have to start from the beginning. Thanks again
  2. Probably like a group I fly with on occasion in FSX. Am sure some of you have encountered the same type of individuals. I've been with bush pilots, commercial airliine pilots, retired civilian and military pilots. We have one fellow in our group that flew the Thud (Is that the F-105?) and another that was in B-52's. Another that flew for the government carrying sub type cabinet members all over the USA and North America. Many of these are well beyond their years and can't pass a flight physical to get up in a Cessna, so they take on where they were 10-20 or more years earlier. We probably have a hog driver among us. But I know that if it was me, I would stay on the quiet side. You can imagine how many questions we would have for him. We would drive him nuts. Someday one will surface
  3. My gosh, I can't believe it. Though I have only been in this forum for a couple of short weeks, I thought it would be impossible to have something in common with Mower. ;) You've got a good woman there. Better keep her
  4. Don"t mean to stray off subject, but I'll be looking for a "sofcore" bunch to fly with. Easy going, newB and some that sometimes just want to "fly". Hope there will be some available. Trying to get some of my FSX buddies involved but the two that I thought might be serious have never been involved in combat sims. Only with the FS9 and FSX series.
  5. Keithb. This was fun and much appreciated. I am attaching some screen shots and not sure how this will turn out where my comments will be legible. If not, I'll come back and do some editing. Thanks again.
  6. Gonna give this a try. Thanks, Keithb
  7. When you wake up in the middle of the night and turn on your computer, just to read the new posts.
  8. Thanks Tyger. I thought I had subscribed to your You Tube account but never was notified. I'll go watch it now.
  9. HAve a great Day!. Sure enjoy your work
  10. If you would have worn the seat belt after the first violation, you could have had $103 and A10. I don't like the laws either, but its there. Guess its like why do I have to have a life jacket in a boat-though I don't have to wear it. Cause they don't want to spend days and weeks looking for your dead body on the bottom or waiting for it to surface.
  11. I might just give this a try. Watch Santa crash:pilotfly:
  12. Thank you very much
  13. Tyger, I much appreciate your videos as well as Headspace. I have watched it, read about the maverick in the manual, went thru the training within the beta version (I think it isn't complete) and after hours, I still have not fired the maverick. I think what I am missing (I have been able to slew the camera) is how to lock on the target. I have a simple joystick so no collie hat and etc. When you say u lock on with the left control and up key, do you mean the ; key like that or the (page up) or something else?
  14. Thanks also, Tyger, I've been waiting for this. I am not the smartest cookie in the bag, and I've read and re-read the infor on the Maverick; have done the training tutorial about 5 times and still haven't fired a maverick. Much appreciated from an old flight simmer but totally unfamiliar with the Lock on series
  15. WEll done, and thank you. Keep 'em coming, I am one of those that need many how to's and tutorials
  16. You can always make a quick check on the outside view to see the status of your brakes
  17. Just a couple, nothing new here, but as a new member wanted to see how to post screenshots. Thanks
  18. Fantastic, what an event to have seen and remember. Thank you
  19. I am dead in the water now. I posted in the beta forum and am going to have to do an update to the software and see where that takes me./ Everything works- does so in other sims, will try again after I get some sleep. Much appreciated. Thanks
