  1. This might be very unrelated, but I've experienced this in the Viggen. Done low level high-drag bombing till the cows come home in single player without problem, then every time I've tried it online I've suddenly exploded, as if I collided with my bombs. I know this is the F5 forum, but could be related.
  2. Yup, same here. Just flew the AWACS Hunt F5 mission and TACAN on 44X was spotty the whole way. I think it worked for a few seconds on the return journey but had to cheat on the map to get home.
  3. ...and wow that was cool. The victory tune at the end was worth the effort alone! If you haven't played the Viggen campaigns, do so - they're well worth your time. I think I enjoyed Atropos the most - that coordinated strike on the runway was just so satisfying, with enemy CIWS flying everywhere... Professionals Study Logistics kicked my ass (it took a lot of practice and learning to get the taxiway landing done, and more importantly the setup after re-arming). I found Hark, Villains tricky, too (you don't have much time to muck about with the maverick scope while the enemy ships come through the fog, and had to play very defensively). But, yeah. It felt like a real grounded scenario, with escalating stakes and pushed me to learn some of the Viggen's more obscure systems. Highly recommended!
  4. haha well damn! perfectly captured then! Guess I'll learn to love it in time.
  5. Maybe this is how the Viggen radar beam actually looks, or it might be a limitation of how cockpits are made in DCS...but the radar beam in the AG radar display looks really WIP to me. Like, it looks like a textured quad that's rotating, and when it hits one limit it just flips horizontally, but the alignment isn't quite right so there's a noticeable jump. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. Can anything be done about this? Like if the offset is an issue maybe use two quads (one for each direction) and fade them out?
  6. Playing through the Wrath of Thunder campaign and noticed these problems: - Atropos: traffic jam on the taxiway. Every time I played this, a Viggen from another friendly flight would miss the runway and end up on the grass, and my wingman would refuse to drive past him, so we were 2 Viggens down. - Professionals Study Logistics : after telling my wingman to RTB, he'll happily keep repeating "2, RTB" over the radio, again and again, forever. Also not a bug but the starting loadout should probably not have the external fuel tank : you have more than enough fuel for the mission just on internals and want to be light for the road landing. - Out, brief candle : when the mission starts, your wingman calls "good hits! the bridge is gone". This should happen when you strike the bridge.
