  1. It's not a F-15E but it's a really good job thanks guys you deserve the $50. CJ
  2. Is there any past present fighter pilots on here that could add some info?
  3. How do I use the nav and signal lights I know how to turn them on but what's the procedure on how to use them? For taxi and take off I have flashing beacon flashing green and red light I also use the glow green lights. I know there is also lights for refueling in front and lights for the turbines I am not sure how to set inflight light as they would in real life... For in flight solid green and red and no flashing above 10k feet.
  4. It's cool how did you make it so shinny? Not sure in the real world the aircraft would be so waxed. :-) but some adjustments would be nice to play around with. ( I spent all day waxing my a-10) lol look it's shinny just in time for my nice day flight back to the US Nevada ;-) Not sure how I ended up in Russian territory but I got really drunk that day.
  5. Well, we know there are a few in 3rd party development. The main issue is that most fans of this sim want AFM aircraft with clickable cockpits about 99.9% expect this including me. There is a lot of coding for these modules the systems must be modeled. It takes about a year or so and they are not in large teams. For many developers it may even take longer. It really depends on how good they are and the information they have on their projects. FC3 is ok for MP but we all want advanced aircraft so though its worth the wait we have about another year before we see a advanced fast mover. From ED I am also going to guess the f-18C but teams keep their project a secret until they really get moving. We may get a MIG-21 or a HAWK in the mean time but guess we will have to wait an see. Really in coding you can sit for 16 hours a day/night so team size and the time they put into it are the major factors.
  6. I like the dark skin is a real world aircraft? If so where can I get it?
  7. Of course just JK but my way of saying how much I appreciate this sim. CJ
  8. Well A-10C is a touchy thing. What settings are you using in the options? Your system is pretty low end with a 7640G and 512MB. This is not really a laptop game or a OEM game. Its a sim for die hard fans I spend $1200 just to be able to play this sim and it's still got FPS issues. The engine is very un-optimized for sure but all we can do is have the best of the best when it comes to hardware. CJ
  9. Getting a whole 14kb a sec. ;-/ is there a torrent for this patch?

    Order status?

Sounds cool thanks for the update.
  11. It might be on a work in progress version. The devlopers I am sure are running a lot of diffrent versions and experimenting with diffrent effects.

    FC3 version

The HAWK will have switches it would not be good to do a FC3 version.

    Order status?

Is there going to be a release of this soon? It seems like a long time ago it was looking pretty complete from a youtube video. And as far as ordering will this be a icon we click on in the sim or do we need to go to your website?
  14. I hope they put in good flight models to FC3... :-| It's really hard to accept not having clickable cockpits but having a realistic flight model might be really good because I can deal with the quick action flight for MP. But these flight models are just not acceptable.
  15. I work in a technical field. There really is nothing wrong with Windows 8 Pro. Windows Blue will just expand on the concept of Windows 8. So really from my day to day experience is the people have old hardware on Windows 8 and they have issues. It has a start menu and you can download options to make it look like Windows 7. Overall Windows 8 needs a new system new hardware not low end specs. It's faster then Windows 7 and I really don't have an issue with it. Windows Blue wont bring in anything thats so great. VISTA and Windows 7 and Windows 8 and Windows Blue wont be the same case. Windows 8 is great I like it and dont have problem with it because I am running middle to high end Windows 8 certified hardware.
  16. What war? The war we can simulate? There is no war in Nevada but the last time I flew out of Las Vegas with that hangover I wanted to nuke that place. lol :-P
  17. Crad thats what I thought I never have had one. :-( I will have to get one then.
  18. Still there is about 10 million people that will like it so.... I think it would be a cool project I used to work with nuclear simulations at Lockheed-Martin so I could make it very realistic. However we had the most robust network and CPU/GPU clusters in the world.
  19. Lets clear this up a bit. 64-bit is always backwards compatible with 32-bit programs if that support is coded in it just runs at a much greater capability on 64-bit. However if ED makes DCS World only 64-bit compatible then a user will have to have a 64-bit OS installed to install and run DCS WORLD. Right now DCS is installed in the 64-bit folder. I think what is meant by this is very misunderstood. As supporting 32-bit OS is limiting what ED can do (Larger maps bigger stuff). DCS world is not a very well optimized 64-bit application but is in fact 64-bit already. What the devs mean I think is that they won't support 32-bit optimizations of DCS world anymore. So if you are on a 32-bit OS DCS won't have some coding to support your crappy system. Nothing really is going to change a lot until we move to a different engine. (EDGE) development is very slow on this project overall but that’s because the dev teams are smaller and it's not a large corporation that is going to commercialize this product. The 64-bit change wont effect us that much but we will have some more options open while we wait for EDGE and other mods to be dev'ed and released. They will keep 32-bit installs more then likely so don't worry about this for now. They will just not use the trickery with 32-bit support. This change might make DCS run like crap on your 32-bit machine but it already runs like crap on a 32-bit system. Here is a video to give you an idea. 32-bit vs 64-bit and why we need it for DCS WORLD and to move forward.
  20. How do you move around in the cockpit? I enable head movement in the options which just makes flying a bit more realistic to me. But in many videos I see the heads like a person looking around life like movement how do I do that? I have a thing on the top of my stick which just pans around the cockpit but it does not move around side to side forward and backward in a animated way. This video is what I am talking about...
  21. The current map is a bit to small for nukes. It's real terrain though however if you look at the real map some airport and bases don't exist. Nukes on these small cities would be overkill. But if I were to Dev a nuke I am hoping I could slave most of the effects to the GPU and limit physics and damage to a set level everything with in 60 miles would be on fire. I have flown around the entire map. There is a lot of miles on this map for sure. But with a nuke in MP it would be a case of ground forces disabling it in a set amount of time. Or aircraft destroying disabling it. Other wise it might as well be a cut view of the bomb exploding. Dropping or firing a missile at a target with a nuke would kill you also. 240KT would be enough along with the EMP (electro magnetic pulse) that goes along with nuclear fusion of this kind. It would disable your aircraft so you would crash. Maybe with a F-15E, F-18E, F-22, F-35, or F-16C at high altitude you could get away with dropping and at fast speed be at a safe altitude and distance. With the A-10C though it's far to slow and its hard to get at altitude. I could also use B-1's which the user would not have control over. With chemical Weapons I could use the cloud effects and study how these explosions look. It could be a small but fun and interesting project to do.
  22. When this simulation is up to par hopefully with the release of Nevada and EDGE I will model weapons of mass destruction. I won't let this simulation be limited by political correctness.
  23. 240KT is 240,000,000 million pounds of TNT which would be a big boom you can hear from the cockpit. :-) Or maybe I am thinking of MT (Mega Tons) not sure my head hurts.
  24. Might be cool but since this sim does not use our CPU's I am sure FPS would go down to .0000999 on a i7 3770k. I think many elements of chemical weapons should be added as well as nuclear capibility for our own missions. CA should have SCUD nuclear and chemical capibility. Looking at other devloped countries they all have them. Only thing I could ever want is for DCS world (EDGE) to use all CPU cores as well as take full advantage of CUDA.
  25. Does anyone know how this sim is? Its for sale on steam and has not been out that long OCT 12th 2012. Not much on this one but it looks good. Any info on what you think? http://www.aeroflyfs.com/ Aerofly FS:
