  1. Well, I just ran through it on my own, couldnt find a wingman to help out and everything ran smooth again for me....
  2. Thanks, appreciate it MadTommy. I'll be giving it a run-through this morning with my buddy again to check if we can find anything wrong as well.
  3. I "think" you can move the cursor on the TAD over the little red triangle, hook it with TMS up short, and then u can select that delete OSB across from the Wilco OSB and it should delete only the one you have hooked.... BUT, I seem to have trouble with this as sometimes it will work, sometimes it will not...
  4. Hm..... that's pretty weird indeed.... I ran a test with a buddy of mine and everything went smooth as butter for us..... I am not sure why that would happen for you... When I get a chance I will try another run through and see if I get any similar problems. If anyone else tries and has any similar problems, please let me know. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience MadTommy, hopefully it was just a weird 1-time bug thing....
  5. So, if I understand you correctly, if a real A-10 pilot pulls his head away from the HUD, everything appears to shrink into the center of the HUD, leaving lots of room all around the outsides of it, and if he moves his head as close as he can to the HUD, then everything gets so big that you can't even read some of the text on it? Because when I have my TIR Z axis mapped to default, that's what happens when I move my head in those directions, and it seems wrong to me.... but oh well, realistic or not, I personally like my TIR Z axis mapped to the zoom view because it keeps my HUD the way I like it, able to be read weather my head is in close, or my head is back sitting on the headrest. Now if they only could combine those two settings, it would be PERFECT for me.
  6. Actually I am not incorrect. I have never disputed that it actually "moves the pilots head", nor did I say that you can see past your throttle or stick when having the zoom view mapped to TIR Z. I only said it keeps the HUD working properly, here is a video to demonstrate that I just made. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fC4fpNLq2g
  7. Actually incorrect, if you have your TIR Z axis set to the Zoom in-game, when you move your head back, ALL the projected data on the projection glass STAYS on the projection glass... go ahead n give it a go n see wat happens.
  8. Here is another new one I just finished up. It is a 2 player night time Multiplayer JTAC and AFAC mission. Here is the briefing: We are expecting an attack on the city of Dusheti. We have some ground forces defending the city, but would like some air power in the area incase of an attack. JTAC - Jaguar 1-1 is in the city and will notify you on when to contact him if targets are spotted. Jaguar 1-1 has a Predator Drone up in the area for AFAC as well. Predator Operator's callsign is Uzi 1-1. Jaguar 1-1 is on Freq 40 VHF/FM Uzi 1-1 is on Freq 50 VHF/FM Hope you enjoy, feel free to leave me comments on what I can do to make it better. Thanks! 9. I don't think the HUD text is actually "getting bigger" as you zoom in and "getting smaller" as you zoom out, it just "appears" that way because you are getting closer and further from something. Just like someone earlier mentioned, if you put a cup on a table in front of you, and you put your face right in front of it, it looks huge, when you back your head away, or even walk a few feet away, the cup magically looks really small... yet it never changed it's size. If you look at it, the text really is staying the same, it's just a matter of how close or far you are away from it. I guess the only really "unrealistic" thing is the fact that IRL, the pilot is kinda strapped in pretty tight and can't move his head in closer or move it further away very much.... But either way. I was under the impression that's how the real HUD worked in the real plane, if it's not, then it should be lol. I like it A TON better when I can pull my head away from the hud a bit to get a bigger field of view for better SA and still be able to read whats on my HUD.
  10. Start Track IR. Start your game. In the in-game options, go to Controls, then in the drop down box, select Axis Commands, look at the bottom for Zoom View. You should be able to click under the TIR column and make the game-zoom view on the TIR Z axis. Now the HUD will scale to where ever your head is at like it does IRL. Enjoy :)
  11. kewl stuff, i'm gonna have to try this now lol
  12. Just updated this mission a little. I thought it was a little TOO unrealistic to have the flight of A10's attacking SAM sights.... so I added a flight of AI F-16's to go take out the two SAM sites in the Target Area. Link in original post contains updated mission file. ****NOTE**** For whoever is hosting this mission, be sure to let the F-16s start to taxi before letting any clients join the server. For some reason in Beta 4, the AI will not take-off if there are clients in the game. I tested it, my buddy joined and the F-16's sat in there parking spots, as soon as my buddy exited the server, they started rolling. Once they were rolling, he rejoined the server and all went normal. The F-16's did take off and all was good. Maybe this will be fixed in Beta 6 and/or final release.
  13. Yep, currently only the host can hear JTAC until Beta 6, so for now, just have the host be flight lead and hand out any targets to your wingmen. Thats how i've been doing it with all my buddies when we fly it. Thanks for giving it a go though, let me know if you have any constructive criticism or tips or anything to make it better.
  14. Absolutely riboyster, feel free to invite your buddy along.
  15. Hey everyone, I put together this mission for me and a buddy to mess around with. After adding some stuff here, taking away some stuff over there, I think it might be ready for release to the public to enjoy. It had 3 JTAC operators in it, where one only becomes available after the previous one is finished giving you his targets. There is an SA-11, SA-15, Tanguskas, Shilkas, Manpads, the whole shi-bang. It has openings for 4 players to play in co-op multiplayer only, no SP version available. Download Here: http://www.mediafire.com/?sg24pi41cny9vi1 Here is the briefing: The Russians have massed a major air defense around Mineralnye Vody. You are tasked with cleaning up the remaining air defenses after the F-16 flight takes out major threats. There is an F-16 flight, callsign Colt 1-1, who will be going up ahead of you to provide SEAD on any air defense assets we deem to dangerous for your A-10's. They will notify you when the area is clear. We have JTAC available to give you the exact targets we would like to see taken out. Feel free to take out any targets of opertunity after the main objectives are down. First contact Ferret 1-1 on Freq 135 AM to get first set of targets. Once Ferret 1-1 is finished, contact Axeman 1-1 on Freq 145 AM for next set of targets. Once Axeman 1-1 is finished, contact Darkknight 1-1 on Freq 155 AM for next set of targets. When all targets are taken out, RTB back to Sukhumi. Sukhumi Tower - Freq 129 AM Colt 1-1 SEAD Escort Hope you enjoy, let me know any feedback on what I can do to make it better.
  16. I am Spyder by the way. Me and a buddy decided to host up a public server with missions I make, as well as ones I DL from others. It isn't anything to serious, just a fun place to hang out, fly some A-10's, learn, and enjoy the company of others. Here is the link to the thread my buddy posted about what we're doing. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=66892 I don't think TARS works with FC2, I believe it's Black Shark and Warthog only. Server name will always have Essence Gaming at the beginning. I believe I currently have something about TARS and TS3 required in there as well as the TS3 address and port. Feel free to hop on anytime and see if were there... we usually fly throughout the morning/afternoons GMT -5.... usually on the weekends we might be on later. Ha, thats my plane with the missing wing and on fire in the last two shots lol. SA-15 smacked into me... he shoulda been watching where he was going ;) I made it all the way back to the home plate and ended up losing control when I lost to much air speed trying to land after going gears down. Wish I coulda stayed on longer to give that mission another go, still have yet to complete it. Lookin forward to flyin again with you riboyster, as well any anyone else out there who wants to fly. Talk to ya later.
  17. Yep, thanks for the heads up. I did see they have changes in Beta 5, but I think it's still better just to get the frame of it put together so then once new info is there, it's just as easy as updating some text and it's all good.
  18. Yea, that's fine, i'd recommend to use both anyway, just wanted to let the OP know about my little task.... shameless plug lol ;)
  19. +1 I'd also be interested in learning this.
  20. THANK YOU ED!!!!!!!
  21. I have actually started to do this. I am taking the DCS A-10C Warthog Encyclopedia and putting it in PDF Form. I have so far done the Weapons and Air Defense sections, and still working on the others. Check it out http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=66646
  22. I'm not 100% on this, but you should check if you have access to the Beta section of the forum for A-10C Warthog. If you don't, maybe the links you are trying to access are posted in that private section of the forums and so it won't allow you access.... just a thought.
  23. Hey everyone, I will be turning the DCS A-10C Warthog in-game Encyclopedia into PDF Format. I will keep updating this thread with new releases and updates. Here we have the Weapons Encyclopedia and the Air Defense Encyclopedia. I am not actually using any of my own info or research. I am just taking whats already listed in the in-game encyclopedia and making it in PDF Format for use outside of the game, or during flight on a second monitor, or however you choose. Sorry for creating a new thread for this since I already had one for the Weapons Encyclopedia, but I wanted to make the title a little better and then just be able to use this thread for all updates and new releases. Thanks and hope you enjoy. Weapons Encyclopedia(Original from first thread) http://www.mediafire.com/?ex1y0v2h8tpc0q9 Air Defenses Encyclopedia (New Release) http://www.mediafire.com/?q7ou83orq218y5f
  24. +1
  25. Thanks HeadSpace, downloading now. Looking forward to using it 2morrow. Woohoo!!
