  1. That is what I (think) I've experienced. -Was CPU bound. Pushed eycandy up.. Also running Pimax @120Hz. Visible range to extreme. Got better graphics AND a fluid flight experience.
  2. Well. I got the cold war Germany map yesterday. Wow! Ugra Media puts the cabinet in its place! On that note: ORBX: Microsoft just called. -Heard you're leaving "early access" They want their FS2000 graphics back!
  3. New map! That is quite a gesture! Not bad, not bad. (That is norwegian for "great", esp. when you say it twice like that ) Thx a bunch!
  4. Try this in Chrome: Press Ctrl - shift - delete (It is "SHIFT", mind you. Not alt.) Click "Delete data"

"it should work out of the box" ..It doesn't Put your PC specs in signature or smth.. Answer is namely "it depends"
  6. It is getting there: I've been stubborn, and used latest (1.39.4.99) PimaxClient in combo with Quadviews companion and Quad-Views-Foveated-1.1.3 over the last couple o' days. I'm running @120Hz. It is the best version I've seen of DCS. Sometimes it wobbles/swims, and when it does, it is a complete mess. Solution is to restart PC. Lately I havent had to do that much, and it seems pretty stable. Hope it last, because this is beautiful. -Touchwood!
  7. With latest firmware I have found: Pimax client 1.39.2 works without wobble/swim if you do not use Mbucchia Quad-Views-Foveated Latest client software wobbles regardless. Best solution at the moment (for me) is latest firmware, Pimax client .1.39.2 and no QuadViews companion. -Sadly, I'm back to more mediocre framerate, bu at least the cockpit is stable.
  8. In Pimax play client, you must restore all prefs and settings. Not in DCS.
  9. Thank you. ..Yes, I'm aware of that. Except the bit about the floor. I mean.. really? Tested again just now. Rolling back again.
  10. Try re-installing Pimax play software, ticking both boxes. -Including the "Remove cached data..." null

    Super unhappy

Agreed. How come it never remember my room setting? It is out of whack everytime I start the set. I am stationary sitting down. The new calibration procedure seem to scan the room, but for what? Next time I use it, the centre is to my right, because I leave it to my left after use. And sometimes I find myself jumping betweeen cockpit, and three meters above. Back and forth. The worst experience is the "swim" phenomenon, where the cockpit gets to be stationary in front of nose, but with a little lag. -But I've got a tip for you regarding sound; Turn off the "Pimax as default" and set sound prefs in DCS menu. -Although DCS does not remember sound preferences, you can set radios to Pimax, and world sounds to PC-speakers. They should be default.
  12. Sad to say, that did not last very long.. Swimming is back, and Pimax not remembering room setting. ..rolling back to 1.39.2
  13. There is a radio/tickbox at the beginning of the installation. Tick that! Not sure if the word "flush" is used. but there are only two boxes to tick, and one is allready ahem.. ticked.
  14. ..and it is so good to be back. For several months, due to tracking problems, swimming image (and a few other "inconveniences") DCS has been totally un-flyable to me. Today, I found a(nother) software and firmware update for the Pimax set. Installed it, and everything got even worse. Tech support answered within five minutes: "Re-install, but this time, flush all settings." Now, I'm not even using Mbucchia's software. (Had one instance of severe "swimming" but restarted PC, and from what I can tell. It's all kosher.) Goddammit, guys. You have no idea. The struggles. The frustrations. I once chewed my left arm off at the elbow. -Didn't help. I also have been known to utter "grrr" just before sleep. Didn't help either. Update, and a kind advice from tech support did. -I'm having a beer now. A large one. Cheers!
  15. My set does not remember room settings. -Must re-calibrate several times a day. Also; chaperone can't be turned off. It is there even when it is set to "off"/un-ticked. I have sendt tickets and logs, but to no avail.
  16. Ditto! -just don't look at it. Do something un related in the meantime.
  17. Does not remember its last alignment either. Out of whack every day, and way to often during gameplay..
  18. Me too; Looking sideways, up or down, cockpit follows the direction of my nose. ..and jittering. Support acts like "I know naathing" Even told me to "make a video" I've given up on those guys. Hardly playing DCS anymore.
  19. Something something "my game" according to Pimax play.. I don't get it either..
  20. I miss 3rd party contributions to a few early access products. Like ORBX need to break silence, or deliver smth.. Kinda, "Wazzap, ORBX?" (Image for ill. purposes only)
  21. My DAW through more than ten years, Cakewalk, took exclusive control, and sometimes it seem, "partial exclusive control" I have recently changed platform to "Luna" by Universal audio. It behaves much better. I have now no such problems with sound. BUT DCS tends to forget my setting, and routes the "Headphones" back to the (default) Audient. But that can luckily be fixed in DCS menu during gameplay,
  22. Any fixes? Today, 45 minutes into a flight, out of nowhere, screen goes black "Controller not found! Press volume button.. etc.. And I had to calibrate room settings, just like I did one hour ago. "Return to game" never show up. But I guess that's because DCS had quit. This is very aggrevating. Can we see a priority fix? A real fix? -Not just one that caters for your creative payment model?
  23. Yes. And because I rest the headset on my table to the left when not in use, it appears (sliding out) to the right of where I sit when I put it on. Does not care about my frequent calibrations. I play DCS only, and of course I'm sitting down at the very same spot each time. It should be easy for at least one of the numerous (more than eight) CPU processes connected to the CL's to properly take care of that. Even if we have to use third party software to make 'em work.
