The situation was perfect with the G2's and the latest update.. Sparkling sharpness, and 90 fps! But due to MS bricking that set, I got the Pimax Crystal lights. Now I'm back to the days of 3060 and Quest 2 With hundreds of frustrations, crappy image and low framerate. I went straight from 90 FPS to 60 and below. Looks great though, but I can't even land straight in that slide show. So I started from scratch; Plowing through en endless array of Youtube intro's "welcome to my channel. Today I'm gonna teach you.. But first be sure to.." eventually presenting the "good" advice. I've dialed all the deteriorating settings, and now it looks like crap, and I gained 6 frames. Not good. Not good at all, and straight out depressing.

Looks like I solved it: Eyeglasses. Dirt cheap +1.5 from the grocery store. Not sure if optic or distance related. If optic, I guess I could order prescription glasses for the Pimaxes.. Think I've seen some commercial somewhere. Thank you for your responses, @Calvin.Pimax

I've adjusted wearing position in several ways. Actually only one position works, or one get the barrel distortion and extreme cromatic aberration. Both DCS and MSFS 2020 Center is still blurred with edges sharp. Edges look very promisingly beautiful. In the Apache, the IHADS is sharp, but everything behind it is blurry. Lifting my chin and looking under the IHADS, it becomes sharp. Everything under the IHADS is good and readable. Edit; Tried with Foveated Rendering both enabled and disabled. It makes no difference at all. Does not seem to do anything.. Not working? If I could flip this, I'd be a happy camper. (As opposed to a very frustrated customer) Edit2: Even the nebula in the idle state has blurry stars in a field of the middle..

Something is backwards; They are sharp around the edges, and blurry in the center. Looking down, up and to the sides looks fine. The "sweet spot" is blurry. Appearing in: DCS and MSFS 2020, and also in Idle/Background picture. Is this software related?

First day with Pimax crystal light. Need help! Upon starting DCS, I face the wrong way. (In hangar. Menu behind me) When I fly, the sweet spot is blurred, and the edges are sharp. Need to flip this stuff around. Edit: Fixed menu, but the inverted sweetspot remain.

I didn't know that. (..much about the MS update policies) But I for one already have a bug related to the dwm.exe and mixed reality, crashing after I've played DCS. Not a big deal, just annoying. Also, I have a sound challenge due to using two audio units; One USB-C "Audient" for nearfield speakers, and the other (onboard) for headset on HP reverb. This is another small nuicance every time I start portal/DCS. Dcs does not remember my external audio interface. I am getting frequent errors about connecting/checking the USB-C cable for the HP's.. Aaaand I am curious about the Pimax. Also anxious about PC performance on those. I also got some insurance pay back for an iPhone i dropped, and.. Oh.. I am babbling now. But, but that was a lot of money I spent. I'm obviously more anxious than I knew I was.. Thanks. Sorry..

I don't think it is skippable for very long. ..So I caved in, and ordered Pimax crystal lights. Afraid I'd have to go through another adventure of trying out a myriad of settings. Placebo's included. DCS have never been better than just now on my rig. https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/ish_10013170-10013236-16

I was very positively surprised with this update, as I experienced both better sharpness/clarity AND performance. Ghosting was completely gone. Just recently I realized DLSS was turned off, and "Rez of cockpit displays" was set to 512. H*ll yeah! I'm keeping those settings! (To bad I have to ditch the HP G2's soon)

I just visit your website for updates. Looks like this is turning out to be one of the ordeals you ironically pay for, and really want to avoid. On the sixth of november i received this: "We're pleased to let you know that your order is currently in processing, and we expect to ship it within the next 3 business days. " Still, here is the update as of today: null

Power levers switch automatically in fly position
Moxica replied to Shadok's topic in Bugs and Problems
I suspected that, but often the gunners ihads is off by a desorientating number of feet in relation to the TDU ..so I started suspecting it needed its own boresighting -
Power levers switch automatically in fly position
Moxica replied to Shadok's topic in Bugs and Problems
Had that happen to me as well, when trying to boresight front seat. Takeoff happening, APU active, ground crew trying to re arm going "What are you doing?" tail spin into trucks and total carnage! -
We have a paid AI companion at work, and it is very useful in many situations, as the tasks can be kinda complex. I'm having a set of Crystal lights on its way (3-5 weeks?) and I asked the companion for recommended settings. Here is what I got: Here are some tips to optimize performance: Nvidia Control Panel: Set Power management mode to "Prefer maximum performance". Disable V-Sync to avoid any lag. Pimax Play: Set Refresh Rate to 90Hz. Adjust the Render Resolution to a level that provides a good balance between performance and visual quality. DCS World Settings: Reduce graphics settings such as Shadows, Water, and Visibility Range. Use MSAA at 2x or turn it off to improve performance. PimaxXR: Ensure that eye-tracking and quad views rendering are enabled to optimize resource use. QUADVIEWS Companion: Foveated resolution: 150% Peripheral resolution: 5% Foveated Sharpness: 80% Transition Thickness: 20% If you experience performance issues, try reducing the refresh rate to 72Hz as an alternative. This can provide a smoother experience without putting too much strain on the system1. Good luck and hope you have a fantastic flight simulator experience!

Not a good start; I just ordered, and the price increased dramatically two times. First there is a shipping of €80 or $84,30 That should pay for some premium and rapid shipping! -But it does not. Also they added taxes during/at the end of the ordering process: €209.93 Not sure if that is within the law. So I started a chat, hoping they would reassure me about shipping times. Good lord! When humans impersonate bots it gets real frustrating. Will not bother with entire comms, but look at this example: Just noticed that you complaint it is not rapid shipping 22:27 No it was not! It was a message to you about the fair ecpectations such a price gives. 22:28 And I therefore would like confirmation from you that the delivery time reflect the price. 22:29 Merchant's profile image OK. Merchant's profile image Thanks for the patience.

DCS: OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Upcoming Update
Moxica replied to Polychop Simulations's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
This update was truly a lucky accident/blessing in disguise or whatever it is called in english. I would not have waited longer for that MMS fix. What a relief! -Love is restored! (Revisiting those key binds actually made me make a few better decisions) -
I played tons of Jane's Longow/Gold with my nephew back in the day with joystick and keyboard only. With 386 and Voodoo 3DFX, we had lots of fun but was allways kinda left wanting more. With my current decent setup and VR, playing this campaign makes me feel like finally getting home. Just finished mission #3 in a beautiful setting with low sun rising over a beautiful Syria, showing the map from its best side. I actually had that though heading for wpt3; "I'm finally home" Congrats to all of us. Ed included, because the Apache is now just fantastic. You must be proud of this one.

Mission one: Better actors. A huge relief! Nice mission. Loved the canyon! Just out of curiosity, why did these targets not show up on radar?

DCS: OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Upcoming Update
Moxica replied to Polychop Simulations's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
Kiowa sounds in general wasn't all that bad to my ears, but there is a risk of that .50 to sound like one of them cheap keyboards with a sound effect bank; Laughter, burps, thunder, tadaa's, applause and machine guns. It can easily sound like that. Sampled and stored. With a weird ambience to it. Aaand it somewhat still does. But then again; NOT complete or finished. But it is worth keeping an ear out for that when seeking to improve.. -
I'm very sorry. Was the one thing I was looking for in patch notes. Didn't see anything. So sorry. You have my deep and sincere apology. I shall now be ashamed the rest of the evening. -But I will enjoy the Kiowa. (I tested on a former "problematic" mission, and it was fine.)
