No. Should I?

pi_server.exe is a busy bee. It consumes up to 7,5% CPU when not even playing. -Just surfing DCS forum.. Can I kill it and still play DCS? I suspect it can be the cause of stutter, because I have tried absolutely every tweak there is. Xcept killing pi_server. It is the most busy process right now. Edit: There is a whole sh*tload of Pimax related exe files active/tickling. Do I need all of those?

Sounds like "Barrel distortion" Adjust height on the face. I have to put them uncomfortably high to avoid that. ..and chromatic aberration. Adjust before you tighten.. In DCS menu, use top line to check. It should be straight..

I can't change weapons loadout on any mission. Will this apply for the entire campaign? Whatthe?

Why is there a "Supports the new Pimax Prime program." in my new firmware? What does it do for me as a Pimax Crystal Light owner??

Closest I could get was 70 FPS.. Is it possible to set it at 72?

I have identical challenges int the Pimax C Light; Nothing gets rid of that stutter. It is also present in menus. I've tried absolutely everything., Stutter remain. FPS is all over the place. From 110 to 35 in same mission. Now I'm at 72hZ and locked frames at 70. Pretty fluid, but that annoying stutter is there, and does not even show up in the FPS counter.. CPU performance looks like..

I'm troubleshooting FPS stuff (as allways..) And I found this in LOGS: cef_log.log

I just got a set of Pimax, and with that, I don't use DLSS anymore. A side effect of that is; the moirè is gone. I tried activating DLSS, and it was back. I think the 90hz upscale brought it back also.

He is expecting to buy an upgrade for the F5 after patch release. Hence webstore.. Changelog will reveal the release. Hence "changelog" thread in another tab in browser. :)

I've just a couple of annoyances left. Here is one: Menu in DCS is 90° off. Horizontal calibration does not help. -Must press "5" at every startup. Wut?

Gentlemen! I found Quadviews version 1.0.12 just now! That took me pretty close to home in a heartbeat! This seems to be the first time any kind of Foveated rendering has been active. My stresslevel went down to about 65. Some weird micro stutter in debrief/menu to deal with now. Thank you so much for your dignified, encouraging and helpful responses to a fairly stressed out me. I really needed that to keep on tinkering. Luckily I have an extra day off.

I had to give that up. Best results is 120Hz with 60 Fps locked. Still I'm at 54 stuttering fps average. Sometimes (often) worse. Even menu has micro stutters. Syria map missions has that dreaded regular stutter every 7 second. I suspect the foveated render is broken; I can see no differencve with it on or off, and there is no difference in performance/framerate. My gawd. It is the old nightmare from years ago once again; Sweating through all kinds of settings, including tampering with CPU functionality. (No five cores are not better than 12) This thing is a fracking never ending troubleshoot.

THX! Peedee! The 72hz/fps mode did wonders for a smooth experience. Graphics are also fantastic. I also turned off the quadviews in the Pimax app. Not sure if the companion does anything. There is no difference if its on or not. Also goes for the in-app setting; No difference. Anyhoo, I tried 2X MSAA and it looked just the way I want it, but framerate dropped back to 60, and no smooth. No AA for me. Thank you so much for your extensive and encouraging introduction to the matter. Very much appreciated. I really feel much better now.

PCL's came on tuesday. Not running Quadviews. Didn't think the crystal light was compatible with/supported quadviews or has foveated rendering? But I will try. Thx a lot! Reporting back after.. Edit: Tested with quadviews, and I don't see any difference. And no square view. (DCS in a square box on the mirrored PC monitor?)

All of a sudden, with settings back to "high", I get 90 fps again.. Different mission/map. DCS is a rollercoaster. -Not sure this is gonna last.
