  1. I have installed the HaptiConnect and the results using the DCS plugin are far behind what I have experienced using Voicemeeter with two sound outputs. With the audio splitter, I can feel the engines increasing power, I can feel the ground, hits, flaks exploding nearby, cannons... The only reason I moved to the HaptiConnect is that I ordered two new buttkickers plus to better simulate how the vibrations are distributed around the plane. The first thing I noticed was that the cannon was not working. I tested on the Apache, F-18, Mig-15, and Bf-109 and always had zero vibration. Besides, while I'm firing the cannon on the F-18, the engine vibration completely disappears. It seems very odd to me as if the HapiConnect was able to handle only one effect at a time. Has anyone else seen the same? For me, the RPM looks the same for all the planes. On the Bf-109, I can't feel the RPMs changing and the vibration increasing as I add more throttle. Using Voicemeeter it feels like the real thing. The only effects that seem to be working fine are the flaps, landing gear, touch-down, and turbulence. Has anyone else seen similar issues?
  2. Hi @silverdevil So you mean you disabled your wifi then connected to the router using an ethernet cable?
  3. Hey @AlphaSputnik, I'm wondering if you are still having the delay issue. I'm planning to buy the ButtKicker HAPTICONNECT app in order to receive the telemetry but the delay would definitely be a deal breaker for me. Best, Vilson
  4. Thanks @STONE SKY. I suspected it was a bug, I'll play the next missions as you suggested.
  5. Hi! I had a great time playing mission 1 but I got stuck on mission 2 because during the takeoff procedure, the leader takes off, hovers at a very low altitude then ends up hitting the objects around. Sometimes, the leader even ends up crash landing on top of other Apaches and staying there, stacked on top of another helicopter. I'm following all the steps announced during the mission, including hovering by myself or using George AI for that. It seems it's not my fault, for some reason the leader can't hover at a low altitude in that area without hitting the objects around. I'm running the latest DCS Beta (updated on Nov 19, 2023) and I wasn't running any mods during those attempts. Has anyone else seen the same issue?
  6. Amazing work! Thanks for sharing.
  7. Hi @currenthill. Have you ever considered creating WWII assets? An AI Messerschmidt Me-262 would be a game-changer for people that plays that era. I don't mean a flyable one, just an AI asset would be enough to add another level of realism to the B17 bombing raids. As a P-51 pilot, for example, you would have to defend them against a superior and faster plane. I see that you are into modern equipment but after I saw the new Su-24MU and Mig-29 MU2 I was wondering again if you could open an exception and provide the community with such a historically relevant plane. The DCS WWII community lacks the diversity of planes we see on other simulators. By the way, congrats for such great work. You are definitely the best and most active asset creator in the whole community. Vilson
  8. Hi @Reflected "I think you were the first one so persistent as to cross the Channel halfway" Probably hahaha . As we reached the formation, the BF109 squadron decided to turn and start a back attack. They got all the escorts on their tails, which gave me time to climb more and align with the bomber formation. I was almost there when the B17s disappeared. I usually create simple missions to play with my friends online, so I completely understand there must be some triggers like that in order to keep good performance. Regarding the bug you mentioned, I remember I noticed the squadron wasn't gaining altitude even after we had the information on the radio telling the formation was at 7.000m. I didn't know it would be caused by a bug tough. Besides the low-level flight bug, I also noticed the Bf109 squadron is using 1.42ATA for climbing (that's how much I'm using in order to not get behind). I would expect 1.3-1.35, but I'm not sure if the K series engine would be more robust to the point we could keep higher manifold pressure without methanol injection (MW50) for longer periods. That's one of the reasons it took me so long to finish my climbing and prepare my frontal attack: once I realized the whole squadron was turning and the escorts were intercepting them, I reduced to 1.3 in order to avoid any engine failure during my remaining climbing/aligning. I do use Open-Beta. Do you suggest the official version instead? Well, maybe it would be a good idea besides disabling as many mods as possible. In the current campaign, the only mod that I use is one that replaces the Bf109 interior. Best, Vilson
  9. Reflected, I'm playing the JG26 campaing and I noticed that durign the second B17 raid (I think it's mission 4), the bombers dissapear after some time. My group missed the front attack, for some reason we were not high enough, so I had to turn around the B17s and get some more altitude before I could try the frontal pass. It took me a while and when I was just about to start my attack, then suddenly the first formation disappeared, few seconds later the second and then all the bomber were gone. I suppose there's an area trigger for that, maybe you can move it farther. I will retry this mission again during the weekend (I can save a track if you like). Although it's not cheap, since WWII scenarios require new planes, maps and even the WWII assets before we can try one of your campaings, playing the JG26 campaing makes me feel the investiment worths every penny. It is simply beautiful, rich in details and pleasant to fly. Thanks for such great work. I hope you get inspired to create new historical/non-historical campaings for the warbirds. As people like you add more great content to WWII period, the ecosystem gets richer and therefore more people try it. For example, my friends and I only buy new planes if there is at least one good scripted campaing available. DCS has two great WWII European maps, several warbirds but still very few campaings. Most of the planes have campaings for only one of the maps, some planes like the Fw190 D9, which has been available for ages, still don't have any. Best, Vilson
  10. Thanks a lot @Harker, I finally figured out that TOO1 and TOO2 are just station's memory slots and have nothing to do with the missiles/bombs itself.
  11. Thanks for the explanation. If I understand it correctly, would this procedure be possible instead? - HSI/WPDSG 4 targets into TOO1 (targets 1, 3, 5, and 7 ) - HSI/WPDSG 4 more into TOO2 (targets 2, 4, 6, and 8 ) - Reselect TOO1 for all stations - Select the stations under QTY - Launch ( They will hit targets 1, 3, 5 and 7 ) - Reselect TOO2 for all stations - Select the stations for QTY again - Launch ( They should hit targets 2, 4, 6 and 8, right? )
  12. Hi there. I want to report a possible bug on the JSOW/JDAM, when we have two bombs on the same store and we are using the target of opportunity (TOO) option. In that scenario, the TOO2 coordinates are ignored and the second bomb is always using the TOO1 coordinate, even when they clearly have different coordinates assigned. I added a step-by-step below and also included a track file demonstrating the issue. Scenario Have 4 BRU-55 with 2x AGM-154A each (8 missiles total) Have ASQ 228 AFLIR or AAQ-28 Litening Create 8 vehicles on the ground Assign a waypoint for each vehicle, which will later be used as waypoint designators Make sure every waypoint has the altitude at ground level Steps Go to the stores page and select JSC For every station STA, set “target of opportunity” TOO Set fuse to instantaneous Set launching to manual Go to MSN Make sure the TOO1 is selected On another screen, select the HSI On the HSI, select the first waypoint point to a ground target. Still on HSI, select WPDSG. You will see the coordinates for that waypoint will appear on the stores/MSN page On the MSN screen, then select the next missile in the BRU-55, using the TOO2. For the second missile, select the next waypoint on the HSI and repeat the process of WPDSG After the second missile has the new coordinates, select STEP to go to the next BRU-55. Repeat the process for the next 2 missiles, then go to the next BRU-55. Repeat until all 8 missiles have coordinates. After all the missiles have coordinates, navigate one by one and make sure every missile's coordinates is pointing to a different ground target. Continue flying until you are in range for the launching When in range, press the bomb release button over and over until all the missiles have been launched Expected All 8 targets should be hit. Seen For every BRU-55, the second missile (TOO2) is always ignoring its own coordinates, hitting the same target designated for the missile 1 (TOO1) Targets 1, 3, 5, and 7 are hit twice (TOO1 targets). Targets 2, 4, 6, and 8 are ignored (TOO2 targets). Notes I see the same behavior on JDAMs mounted in pairs. TOO2_bug.trk TOO2_bug.trk
  13. F15E first confirmed kill.
  14. Same problem here. Although I can see the buttom animation, assigning the CPG RH button doesn't work. Assigning the collective key does work, but only in multi-player. I have the same problem with the goggles. It work in single player but not in multi-player, even if I set the enable nvg in the mission editor.
  15. I had the same quesiton few weeks ago and I decided to buy both AH-64 and the F-18+Supercarrier during sales. I've been playing the AH-64 exclusively since then. It's a different experience compared to fixed wing, I'm really enjoying. I'll start the F-18 as soon I feel confortable enough flying the Apache. You can start with the AH-64 right now, since the price won't change during sales, then wait for sales and buy the F-18+Supercarrier with some good discount. Apache is another tank killer, so you might end up doing a similar job you have been doing on the A-10 though.
  16. As a South American, I know how it feels... I'll buy this map in the next minute it gets release. I'm looking forward for flying over Torres Del Paine and fighting for Malvinas. I took a picture on the same spot
  17. I did some of those tricks. Try this: Loop: get some altitude. Then nose down until you get speed, then do a loop as you do on a fixed wing airplane. Barrel: same idea. Get speed, then put yor cyclic to full left or right and compensate using your rudder pedals.
  18. Interesting, I've used virtual axis on IL-2 and they worked fine. I'll do the same here, thanks
  19. Hello! This is my first weekend playing DCS and I'm loving it. I've started configuring the keys for my AH-64 and I'm having some trouble with Virpil's rotary encoders. Although I sucessfully assigned the FLIR constrast button, the increments are not smooth. When I rotate the knob, it jumps from 0 to 25%, 50% and so on. Is there are way to make smaller increments, like 5% rather than 25%? I had similar issues on IL-2, but in that case the increments were so small that you had to turn to knob over and over just to see some 10% in the end.
