  1. whoa...can not believe this is happening! seems like this is the best time to be simming since the mid '90s!
  2. OP had a busy weekend, I see...:noexpression:
  3. Ok, I'm generally competent with computers (maybe it's been a long weekend...), but I can NOT get this mod to install. When I attempt to extract "UH-1H-CPT-TEXTURES", I get an error in both winzip & winrar. The winzip error is: "Compressed (zipped) Folders was unable to create the specified directory. Ensure that the directory does not already exist and that the path entered is valid." Get a similar error in winrar, something to the effect of "...directory not found..." What gives? I feel like my whole DCS World folder has some kind of restrictions. I've removed UAC a long time ago, and I'm the admin account. Running Win8. HELP!?
  4. Yeah, I'm not buying that this is a true Vietnam bird...agree with the '80s being more accurate.
  5. GREAT idea! I remember the blackshark has colored flares you can drop...should be do-able to make it smoke from the huey. I like the radio idea. I remember in the book Low Level Hell (about an OH-6 "loach" pilot) the pilot would call out "mark mark" and the gunner would drop smoke.
  6. Wings of the Eagle (huey), Low Level Hell (scouts, some guns/huey)
  7. So this is a silly question, I'm sure (and yes, I've used the search function - no clear answer). How do I export my Controller settings/profile? I have one, that I think a good many people would enjoy (if they have the TM Warthog).
  8. THAT would be too cool. Sometimes, I use F5 guilt-free to make up for not having a crew-chief hanging out the back spotting me.
  9. Haha! Guilty as charged!!
  10. I did put it in the switches side, might be my problem then. Thanks, I'll give that a shot! EDIT: THAT was my fix, Thanks again! (sidenote: you can't use button 4 'paddle' as a modifier for some reason...only button not available to do so.)
  11. I've made a great profile for the Huey in DCS (NOT TARGET), however, I can't figure out out to use the built-in button modifier in DCS. I am able to make modified commands, however, once the modifer button (paddle on the front of the warthog) is used, ALL commands are modified until I press the paddle again. What am I doing wrong?
  12. this mission was simple (which is refreshing sometimes) but great, the music was just the icing on the cake. Thanks!
  13. Not to blow you up, but...have you been looking in the "Bugs" section? He's giving feedback to just about everyone who has something to report. It's pretty amazing actually.
  14. Well...the men's department.
  15. Monnie, I see what you're saying...but I don't think the searchlight on the Huey was meant to equate to the external/3rd party lights such as the Nightsun (LAPD's helos). I think it's a built-in spotlight to aid in field-expedient LZ's, and other situations where a directional-light is needed, but not necessarily expected.
  16. Thanks man, same problem here.
  17. UPDATE: ONLY works when 1 gun firing...if you have both, will NOT glow. Keeps it even MORE secret that way. Edit: I stand corrected, as per THE MAN (EvilBivol). Gladly so.
  18. Preface: I have a TM Warthog w/CH pedals After reading the sticky "How I flew a huey in arizona", I realized that playing with my curve/saturations, etc. was contaminating the "feel" of the helo. Furthermore, the regular pilot in that article stated that he doesn't use the trimmer at all (off). So, I have chosen not to use it either. I went back into my settings and changed everything back to 0 curve, 100% saturation, and when I fly I've been keeping the trimmer off. Have to say...I love the "full feeling" of the helo, and actually can manage it quite well now. It might be mental, but I don't feel like I'm second-guessing inputs based on the trimmer and stick settings that might be incorrect. Bottom-line: TRY IT!
  19. wow! didn't know that! too cool (hot?)!
  20. I think I was getting really freaked-out by the shaking, and thought I was doing something wrong at first. Now, I've been cruising through transitional lift with the mantra..."Embrace the shake (it's OK)!"
  21. So I was playing multiplayer yesterday, and OTHER player's Huey's were creating a dust cloud! Is this because they are rendered in the game engine as the original DCS non-flyable Huey, thus have the dust effect modeled?
  22. Is there any way to maybe code in the ability to have a "scheme" or option to remove doors on the Huey? I'd love to scream around with no cockpit doors, really increases my sit. awareness! Just posing the idea. Thanks! image hosting site
