@ Invader, the broken searchlight you mention is a part of its shoktora anti missile system, it emits a ir beam to blind ir guided missiles. the newer tanks have 2 of them one on each side of the main gun. the side skirts are just a thick rubber matting hanging on hinges so adding a heavy lump of metal and explosive would probably overload the hinges.

Hi Badger, as bart says all you need is the World 1.2.3 download, World A10C 1.2.3 Module not the full sim and your activation key from original A10 purchase, Install world DONOT RUN IT, Install A10C Module, Then when you run the World launcher it will update both to the latest version, click on instant action and then A10 and run one of the missions and it should ask you for the key code.. there is a way I think. if you look at the keybinds you can set button pressed or not, this should send a signal to dcs or not dependant on switch state. if you cant make it work ask Gadroc on the helios forum.

AND DO NOT UPDATE WORLD BEFORE INSTALLING MODULES.. sorry for caps but wanted to get it noticed..

well you must be doing something wrong because I have never had a problem and I'm a 52 year old computer idiot. I just download each new module for each part I own (which is all of them). then install world ... version, then install each ... module version. I DO NOT start or try anything before I have installed all modules. then when it starts it checks for any small updates to ALL the modules. I only do this for large updates like 1.2.3 otherwise I let the updater do it all, never had a problem. In case your wondering about MODS I use a renamed export system ala Peter P, Icemans EMC, Helios & TFS3 Feedback seat. All work fine in V1.2.3....But have to have files and folders changed, moved & added to. Go through it methodically and take your time if your time is that tight then forget it till you have time to do it properly and don't blame the game for you rushing and cocking it up..

just add the one line to your helios ++ export.lua file. they say at the beginning ..

I don't think it will allow you to delete the native language, have you tried reinstalling dcs with eng as the default.

I actually tune mine down as in real life aircraft don't shake you about so much, The feedback is very subtle in most cases, There are exceptions of course but I would think an attack heli would be a pretty stable platform, I know in a fighter you get thrown around but that is different to the vibes, I love the feeling of movement under each leg as you roll would love it to be just a pressure rather than a vibration like a balloon expanding and going down again..just an idea.. thanks for sorting the lua I just added the intell true bit to the end and it works.

smil audiosense is the most basic and wont work in dcs because it picks up bitchin betty. dcs world 1.2.2 has the bit built in to enable intellivibe which I think works well in A10, KA & P51. the file structure has changed in 1.2.3 & this has stopped I-Vibe from working thats all, It will soon be fixed I hope.

I have it and until 1.2.3 update it was working great not like a bass shaker atall you get feelings from individual legs in a roll or your back or bum in a climb, also things like gear clunk gives you a knock, I bought it only a year ago and think its great but dcs 1.2.3 update stopped it working.

Has anyone got it to work. I have helios working in A10 & KA50, but the VRS seat no longer works like it used to.

If I uninstall the standalone a10 and remove registry entries will it make emc look for world install ?..

Absolutely great, one thing how can I change the install path, it points to my old A10 install not the world one, I have tried reinstalling the EMC but it still aims at the old install.

well its got me beat.. all I can say is that since using peter p's files I have not pressed update for anything in helios, I just point the editor interface to dcs world and then save the profile I DO NOT PRESS THE UPDATE BUTTON. I think you need to copy new export file from peter that has not had the helios update done then just point and save.. BTW the export I sent you is the one I am using I have I-Vibe in a10-ka-p51, exports in a10-ka, and helios gauges in a10-ka. not done anything with helios in p51 yet. oh one more thing my interfaces always say not set up but they work go figure that one out.

OK so is your prob solved or do the gauges still not work ?.. have you tried a new profile with just one gauge on it ?.. I cant get that you cant add KA interface in your profile..

Export.lua my export file.. tom are you trying to use separate exports for a10//ka. my export is an all in one but you will need these other files from peter p's All_Exports_ON_for A-10C_and_Ka-50_in _DCS World_1.2.0.zip

are you using the latest helios ? 1.2.176 i just point the helios at world install dont hit setup and save the profile. I have not had a problem adding the bs as a device you can try a profile that already has it first.

I am using peter p's exports on latest version of world this gives you all the exports for a10 and ka50 with individual names for each export so a10 and ka don't clash. for the ivibe bit I do nothing more than start the ivibe control panel and pick a plane it has a10,ka50 and fc3 p51 as defaults, don't know why p51 is listed under fc3..since world v1.2 I have not installed any ivibe stuff into exports it don't need it. tom your prob is what I was getting before peters brilliant mod for the export names. are your mfds etc named like A10_LEFT_MFD etc or the old way of just LMFD..

tfs software is now built in to dcs so no tinkering is required, I have all modules working fine in world with tfs and helios, exports work like a dream. no need to turn off exports..
