How to install DCS: World with A-10 and Lock On-questions
G00dnight replied to Andi31's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
this has beeen done to death in other threads just take it that yes you do have to have the old game, I think it has to be installed and nothing else, after FC3 install you can uninstall it again. -
I have had mine for 3 years approx and no breaking. and i still use a 5year old Tir 3.

I am over fifty live in uk and dont have and dont want a credit card. even if they would let me have one as i dont work and before u say it i am not on the dole..
-
yes i did this ages ago it works very well, adds a little more weight to the headset but is not uncomfortable to wear, only reason i stopped is i now use a wired headset & vector pro all built in to a helmet...
-
YES maybe I over do it BUT it got a response from GROOVE, it proves they were/are reading this thread just a word at the start could have stopped a lot of crap.
-
I recon ED/DCS has gone bust and paypal has pulled the plug on them,,,, Now lets see the response from sobek et al.......
-
I think the point is that DCS obviously dont want paypal users to buy their products this could be for a number of reasons charges etc, but I dont see why I should put myself out to change my banking habits just to buy a particular game whatever it is when I have a perfectly serviceable payment method. And I certainly would not go to a friend asking for them to do it for me. even though they probably will.
-
Well thats me outa here, I have all modules so far but will buy no more as being out of work a credit card is not an option and I will not use my debit card on the net it is too risky even on secure sites you hear of games sites being targeted for customer info all the time.

the viewports problem has been sorted it is on this forum, somewhere, goto the input part of the forum i think it's there. it was a naming thing if each viewport has its own individual name they don't conflict. someone put up a new monitor config file which solved it.

the other big advantage over a buttshaker is that it uses the lua exports not the sound output so the ingame voice dosn't affect it, since DCSW 1.2.1 the export part is already in DCSW so just start the little prog that you download from I-Vibe and play. it has profiles that you can adjust to your pref just remember not to save over the default.

@viper. update assistant just scans your sys and tells you if stuff you have is compatible or not with a small problem anything that has not been tested by MS on win8 is not included, in my case this is a hell of a lot of small apps and hardware that is an unknown. I am not going to trash win8 it is just not for me.
-
I think i found why its cheap. coz after you buy it and install you then have to buy extra software to do all the things that are free with win7 like dvd players you have to buy win media center on top and god knows what else.. not for me thanks I will stick with win 7 till I go senile which wont be so long now..

congrats on this. just a shame you had to take 2nd best twice, one with the CSO and the other the Airforce...LOL>>

Do you run/use any mods / modified files?
G00dnight replied to MadTommy's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
just goes to show three quarters of us have changed the game in some way from how they want it too be. but if they made it different then three quarters of us would probably still change it anyways.. -
Oh that bank leveling,, thought you meant blowing up nat west...lol..

LOOK FC3 is out,,,OH SORRY ITS A BLUE PIG,,,

what they did or didn't do is a matter for the greek authorities to investigate, IMO they may have been a bit naive in taking a holiday on the island where there is a dispute between the greeks and BI, maybe they were watched a lot closer than normal. But I think what they did was like me walking into a bar in londonderry taking some photos and saying its alright I work for the british army, I don't think the outcome would be very good.

Harriers destroyed i Camp Bastion attack
G00dnight replied to tflash's topic in Military and Aviation
they targeted the harriers because they were hurting them, plain and simple we do the same if a cell of insurgents is a pain they get targeted. if they were after harry they would have targeted the brit base. -
In china ? work or play. sounds interesting.. it does take a little longer than a min even at 50 psi, the max we were allowed to pump at in the raf.
-
more likely DCS jet suit..
-
wrong kuky, they prob dont know, I dont think many of them use exports or such they just run the sim in original so they can test it without any interference from changes to things like lua's. If FC3 has the same modular structure for the individual aircraft, ie they work on the same lua export files then there may be a chance but it will prob only be for the 3D pit. I think we will have to wait and see I for one will want to try exports and helios integration.

Positions for BS MFCDs with Helios profile
G00dnight replied to doveman's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
you are trying to find someone who has the same screens using bricos profile who has already done the work and is good enough to put it on here for you, I think slim to no chance. Just work it out man jeez its not rocket science... -
Noob Rudder Question
G00dnight replied to Quantenpresbyterianer's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I know how you feel with the rudders. I had big problems trying to use them as they should be so I gave up and inverted the axis, after all its not like im gonna fly for real.. -
I quite like the Idea of being able to build like a savings account with them to enable us poor unemployed/unemployable to buy what we want as soon as its out, if I leave any in my current account the wife comes down on it faster than a SR71 goes round the world..
