Hello All, I want to try to get a certain shot, but I am having trouble figuring out how to achieve the shot. I want to follow a bomb from when it leave my plane's pylon to when it impacts its target, but I want to follow it from a pinned position. So like tracking the bomb from a pinned F11 camera on the ground that is pinned next to the target so I can watch the impact as if I was standing next to the target. Does anyone know how I may be able to achieve this shot?

Munitions deployment in Track replays no longer working
Onslott replied to Onslott's topic in Mission Editor
Ok so after some research, I foung this reddit post, and more specifically from u/_Quaggles that explain the following: "For everything inside the cockpit the track file is just pressing the buttons you pressed when flying so it will press missile release but your aircraft had no power so nothing will happen." So, I hopped back into my track and sure enough, the master arm, pylons, weapn delivery modes, and weapon selectors were all not switched to the correct state as the track should have done. hopped into F1 cockpit view and did it manually and sure enough the weapons deployed. -
Hello all, I've been messing around in mission editor today for a video I'm making, and for whatever reason my track replays suddenly stopped recording any munition deployments. This goes for all munitions - bombs, missiles, and even guns. Attached is a quick test I did to see if it would replay the track correctly, and it does not. I know the replay system isn't the best, but there has to be a reason why this suddenly stopped working. I'm hoping someone with more knowledge than I have about this stuff is able to maybe dive into this with me and figure out how to get munition deployments working again. bomb release test.trk

Update: I used an English-converted file (miragef1-cockpit-05.dds) and dropped it into \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Mirage-F1\Textures\Avionics-F1-1.zip. This worked but doesn't pass IC. So then, on OvGME, I created a mod folder directed to Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\aircraft\Mirage-F1\Textures\Avionics-F1-1.zip and dropped miragef1-cockpit-05.dds in there—it also worked but still didn't pass IC. Now, there is the \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Mirage-F1\Liveries\Cockpit-F1EE folder, but it only has the description.lua in there, so I don't think the game looks in that location for cockpit textures anymore, which is what worked before. Is there anyone from Aerges who has a solution for how to use custom cockpit textures that do pass IC?

Hello, After the latest update, I noticed that the English cockpit mods no longer work, and there is no dropdown in the Special menu to even select a cockpit skin. I looked into this and found that all of the Mirage textures are now in \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Mirage-F1\Textures. Furthermore, the regular textures are split into 2 separate .zip folders, and the Normal Maps and Roughmets are also in their own separate .zip folders. This is different than the original folder structure for cockpit texture mods normally utilized by the Saved Games folder (\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\Cockpit-F1EE\English Cockpit). I did set up a folder package that directs to the new location for the textures with the English Cockpit and it worked, but it does not pass IC due to it being in the installation folder. I'm working on figuring out how to get this to work by utilizing the Saved Games folder. If anyone has any info on this, please feel free to add your thoughts!

Just an update to this thread: After searching for another way to use the Xbox controller in DCS, I came across a Tuuvas tutorial, and in his explanation of adding the game to Steam, he has a segment that says that if you notice your game is crashing, it is probably because your Target location is not in quotes...which mins was not because I had moved the game to another drive and when adding the path, I forgot the quotes... So for anyone that may come across this, be sure your Target location is in quotes! null

Hello, I would like to be able to hear things while I'm in the F10 map. Not sure why the F10 map mutes everything, but it shouldn't. Ive missed many an RWR warning, BRA, or Jester call-out etc.

Wow, thank you for this! For whatever reason, using this .lua fixed my issues. What is so specific about this .lua? I thought all Streamdeck profiles used the same ExportModule .lua for specific module? As far as my profile goes, its actually a number of profiles that I use for the F-16 (and a bunch of other modules). I create multiple profiles for different pages rather than folders because you can effectively swap between profiles without using that back button. It makes navigating everything much easier for me. I would provide an example of the left side of the F-16 UFC profile I use (I'm using 2 Streamdecks), but it is too big to post here unfortunately.

Hello all, I'm having an issue with my Streamdeck F-16 profile. I replaced my old F-16C_50.lua with the newest one and now my profile won't communicate. Any ideas? I've created a random button to test with the new .lua and that new button won't work. Reverting back to the old .lua doesn't fix this. F-16C_50.lua

I did actually notice that and try that but it also did not make a difference. I've never used the log analyzer - is it able to tell which mods have issues?

I am not trying to run the Steam version, but rather launching DCS from steam. So, yes, it is standalone launched from steam to be able to use the Xbox controller profile. I will provide 2 logs, one from launching from the .exe, and one from launching from Steam method. As stated previously, launching from .exe runs perfectly fine, but from steam it immediately closes after the loading screen. I tried @Flappie's method, but that did not seem to change anything. I will remove mods and repair and see if that works. dcs - launched from executable.log dcs - from steam.log

Hello All, When trying to launch DCS from steam, it crashes. It works perfectly fine when I click on the .exe otherwise. The reasom why I am trying to launch from Steam is to be able to use an Xbox controller with the specific controller settings I made using the DCS FILMING template. Any ideas? dcs.log

Hello All, As the title states, after recently upgrading to Windows 11, I am noticing that background programs are noticably visually and operationally slower when clicked into the DCS window. I firsted noticed the SRS overlay would blank out, and then my Streamdeck would have up to 5 second input lag times, and discord would blank out as well. While in DCS, I would also mopve my cursor over a Chrome window and would see that scrolling is also slow to respond. Specs are: i9-13900 KF, 4090FE, 68GB DDR5. I understand that I could go back to Windows 10 as a quick fix, but seeing as support will no longer be available later on, I might as well just figure this out now. I have tried: running everything as admin disabling launcher restarting updating drivers closing everything but DCS and normal background programs that I run with DCS I am running Process Lasso Pro with the Bitsum Highest Performance profile enabled as well. Any ideas/solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Brilliant, thank you for all of this! I didn't know that sumlinks were a thing, but that just made life so much better!
