  1. You work fast! Regarding the T-90's usage in the ongoing Ukrainian war, might you consider adding cage armor to the roofs of the T-90M in a future update? In the meantime, I will work on liveries with Z, Z with a square around it, V, and O painted onto the T-90, and other Russian vehicles like the Pantsir, Tor M2, and 2S38 Derivatsiya PVO. Also, for those who may not necessarily know, liveries won't work unless you enter this line of code in entry.lua mount_vfs_liveries_path (current_mod_path.."/Liveries")
  2. Very nice. Well, all the best, and remember, between projects, you should take a break or two.
  3. Very interesting. I'm not sure what I'm looking at but I'm excited to see it in action. Also, in the future, will you consider the ZBL-08 8x8 IFV, ZBD-05 tracked amphibious IFV, the M1296 Stryker Dragoon, and maybe an upgraded M1A2 Abrams with APS? I know this is a lot of work for you and you are working closely with Admiral189 to bring us a Type 056 patrol ship but here's to a prosperous future.
  4. You are a legend. Seriously, when's the last time you've had a full night of sleep?
  5. I would recommend something like the Challenger 3 series of main battle tanks (perhaps with APS simulated because you did such a great job on the ZTZ 99), and the General Dynamics Ajax series of infantry fighting vehicles. Perhaps down the line, you may look into the Warrior IFV and Bulldog APC. In the future, might you consider the Type 23 Duke-class frigates, Tide-class supply ships and Wave-class supply ships? You don't have to do all of them, it's just some suggestions I'm throwing out there. For now, keep up the good work and thank you for all that you do.
  6. Thanks very much for letting me know - this will be something for me to think about.
  7. Before I buy this map, which airfields have runways long enough for modern fighter jets to take off from and land on? I own the F-14, F-16, F/A-18C (with CJS's Superbug mod), A-10C Tank Killer ii, and Flaming Cliffs 3. I also play with mods like the JAS 39, F-22, Dassault Rafale, Eurofighter Typhoon, J-20, Su-30, Su-35, and MiG-31.
  8. Ooh, this will be fun! Thank you very very much, Currenthill. By the way, I did a bunch of liveries for the Type 052D, Type 055, Daring-class, and Arleigh Burke Flight iii ships. I don't know how big all those files are when put together but if you want, I'll try and find a way to get them to you.
  9. I can't say this enough but thank you for everything you do. I don't know what else you may have on your agenda given how much life you've brought into the DCS naval and ground combat scene, but might I interest you in the LD-2000 and LD-3000 weapon systems? The People's Liberation Army Ground Forces have built and deployed rotary cannon-based C-RAM weapon systems derived from the CIWS systems found aboard People's Liberation Navy surface combatants like the Type 052D, Type 055, and Type 054A, among others. Something like this would be very interesting as future additions whenever you have the necessary resources and have gathered enough intel.
  10. I guess it's one of those days - happens to the best of us.
  11. Same problem here - might wanna take a look. Other than that, thanks for all the work that you do, @currenthill
  12. Sorry, you're right. I thought you were talking about the description under the link but yeah, the downloaded file is still version 1.1.
  13. You are on a roll! I mean, out of curiosity, how did you and your crew learn to make these mods and assets - 3d modeling, programming, coding, etc? And how long did it take you to hone your craft?
  14. You are brilliant. Thank you for all the work that you do for the DCS Community.
  15. Might I also add Project 11356R, the Admiral Grigorovich-class frigate to the list of recommendations? These ships are fitted with 32 vertical launch cells, of which 8 are set aside for anti-ship missiles like the 3M54 Kalibr and P-800 Oniks. The remaining 24 vertical launch cells contain modified Buk surface-to-air missiles. Additionally, a 100mm gun, two AK-630 CIWS systems, eight 9K338 MANPADS emplacements, four 533mm torpedo launchers, and an RBU-6000 anti-submarine rocket launcher makes for a worthy adversary. These ships have a 4000-ton displacement and are 410 feet or 125m in length. They're 50 feet or 15.2m wide and have a draft of 14 feet or 4.2 meters. 3 ships are serving with the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy, and two are destined for export to India. A sixth ship of this class is under construction and destined for export to an as-yet undisclosed customer.
  16. I think that it will be wise to eventually bring in some Chinese-made long-range surface-to-air missile systems like the HQ-9 and HQ-16. Then to balance it out, you could someday consider building the MEADS missile system of MBDA and Lockheed Martin as well as some of the associated companion vehicles like the FMTV. Currenthill, I wish I could donate to you and your team because you people are doing God's work.
  17. I see. Unfortunately, there's still no joy. The steps I took were Open mission editor Spawn in T-84 The T-84's joint military symbol icon doesn't show up on the map, instead coming in the form of the silhouette of the T-84 itself viewed from its roof. Click start mission When I click on the "start mission" and receive the prompt asking me to save the mission or discard changes, I click "discard changes." Normally, this leads to the level loading in, but here, the clicking does nothing. I can still manipulate the controls on the mission editor window. Trying to save the mission, I name the mission and exit the mission editor. However, when I come back in, the mission doesn't show up on the list of files available when I click "open file" I might try to make a screen recording of the process to show you what I'm talking about.
  18. Great work so far. However, when entering the mission editor, I have trouble spawning it as a vehicle linked to a ground formation. On top of that, I've had some trouble starting the simulation as some of the buttons for "save mission" and "start simulation" would no longer become clickable. Is this something to do with me not using multithreading?
  19. Hey man, I hope things are coming along for you and your team. Can't wait to see more of this aircraft over the Persian Gulf.
  20. Hey Currenthill and co., whenever you're ready to take new requests, I'd like to someday see a Type 052D destroyer, the predecessor of the Type 055 (though the former is still in production.) At least 25 examples are in service according to Wikipedia and at least 6 hulls are under construction somewhere in China. A brief summary about this class of ship - In terms of armament, It's similar in configuration to the Type 055 though with just 64 VLS cells, with 32 launchers in the foredeck and 32 additional launchers towards the aft. The launchers be fitted with a mix of HHQ-9 surface-to-air/anti-ballistic missiles and/or YJ-18 surface-to-surface missiles. Close-in defense is achieved with the Type 730 CIWS or the Type 1130 CIWS (as seen on the Type 055) and the HQ-10 SAM system, possibly a copy of the RIM-116 RAM. Two variants of the ship are known to be in service - the initial variant is between 156 and 157m in length, containing a helipad sized for the AS365 Dauphin or its Chinese copy, the Harbin Z-9. Newer variants are 161m in length, with a larger helipad to accommodate the Harbin Z-20, a copy of the UH-60 Black Hawk. This is about as much information I can pull from Wikipedia before I get far too pedantic for your liking, but I do think that the Type 052D would be an interesting addition to DCS, as a middle-of-the-road option between the heavily-armed Type 055 and the lightweight Type 054A as seen in the China Asset Pack. Thank you guys for the work that you do.
  21. It'd be interesting to see these vehicles (or a possible PLA or Iranian IRGC counterpart) equipped with some sort of pintle-mounted FIM-92 or Qian Wei 18 MANPADS. Something like this could breathe some life into low-level helicopter and fixed-wing CAS/deep strike operations.
  22. Thanks very much - it works! Liveries.zip
  23. You are a real professional, man. Now I'm not sure what else you have down the line but if you accept recommendations, I'd like to someday see some coastal defense units (similar to the truck-launched RBS-15 from your Swedish Assets mod series), such as a truck-launched Harpoon missile system or even the R-360 Neptune from Ukraine. The implementation might be a bit challenging for you and your guys but whichever direction you decide to take, I'm glad I get to enjoy your stuff.
