All the better then. There's also South Korea vs North that can be done with them. The F-4E gives a lot of things to do, but having a naval variant eventually will be great.

I'm definitely more in favor of the E. I like have the ability to use the aircraft for more than one or two nations. Even if the E isn't as capable at a specific thing that the J or S is, it's still the most exported variant. That'll definitely make more settings possible compared to any of the navy variants. Personally, being able to use them for either Vietnam, Arab-Israeli war, something made up between the US and Iran, or West Germany and East Germany, makes it all the more worth it.

Oh, I was referring to the hard winged E in particular. I know Australia, for the short time they had them, didn't have the AE upgrade, similarly to the Japanese.

It'd be neat if we'd get a slat-less version eventually. Different flight characteristics and it'd be more fitting for nations that lacked the upgrade.

We also have to take into account the testing from ED's side. That could a ton of time, like it did with the F-1 or MB if I recall.

I imagine there will be something official regarding it. Potentially with this 2023AB video or a statement elsewhere... Like their Facebook. We'll see something at some point though.

That's a lot of positive thinking there. F-15E probably not until q2 or q3 of 23 if we are lucky. Who knows how much work the F-4 needs, seeing as how they were still working on radar.

You'd definitely hope that we would see something for the F-4. I would imagine that showing off some clips will tide over everyone who's been hoping for this all year.

Yeah, I certainly hope to see the F-4 in game. Anything else is neat to me but can't beat the F-4 for my favorite module to come out.

Well new in this case could be referring to an unannounced module. Possibly similar to how the F-4 gun sight was teased in the last one.

I am able to cope with playing another particular aircraft game for the F-4 while I wait for a better representation to come out, but I would definitely like to play a more realistic game with the F-4. I'm quite excited to see what all the community makes revolving around the F-4 (livery, mods, missions).

Just have to imagine the planned release was for early 2023, not 2022... That was probably just a typo, both in the video and the description. It's definitely the case here.

It makes sense with the fact that Japan is an Island nation. It'd need aircraft capable of taking out enemy ships, whether it's transports or destroyers.

Not sure if there's any other but the F-4EJ was able to carry ASM-1.

Countries that had only specific variants for the F-4 or F-4E (Such as Japan and I think Australia that didn't have the Agile Eagle setup) will probably only user skins if HB decides to keep official livery as close to realistic as possible. It'd be odd to have naval skins on the E for instance, but as I said before, people will most likely make skins for them to make up for the lack of a naval phantom for now.

I can't imagine not having Korean F-4 as some of the first livery. They will probably come right after we see livery for the F-4F, Naval F-4, British F-4, and Iranian F-4. I guess it also depends on what skins we get one release.

I doubt we will see any info regarding a change of release plans until later in the month. If delayed, there will most likely be an apology, explanation as to why it happened for those who didn't already know of the main issues that set the development back, and maybe some images of the model if we are lucky. I doubt we would see a release plan though due to them being optimistic about 2022 and things obviously not going as expected. It's probably best to not set something like a date, publicly at least, in case something happens again.

Well the F-15 won't be this year. Razbam devs basically confirmed it in their discord if I recall.

It would certainly be neat to see. I doubt the devs would want to jump the gun on a pre-order though. We still don't know how close they really are to releasing it so if there are still some major hurdles to get through, past the situation going on in Ukraine and whatever else that may pop up, there could be delays that take this into late 2023 or further. But if they did do a pre-order rather early, I would still get it in a heartbeat. If they wanted to do pre-orders but ended up being delayed a few months, similarly to the Apache, I think it'd be fine overall since we at least would get a overall decent release and some time for people to quell over whether they want to do the pre-order or not.

One could only wish that a December 30th release would happen. Seems to be more likely that a BS3 release will be seen this month.

They are but they aren't the same that we will be getting. I can't recall if Japan got them before the Agile Eagle program or if they just opted to not have them put on for some reason.

F-4EJ also never had the slat modifications. It won't stop me from using JASDF livery once it releases though.
